Okay so I started playing it for a bit and like it so far. There is upgrades of weapons as you progress and an RPG aspect to it based on Lara's abilities can be enhanced. I have tended to leave the path the game wants me to go only to find stuff hidden and entrances and crates I can not get until I have a skill or tool to open with. The things that I dont like are the quick time events. I am so horrible at it that I typically have to spend several tries at it trying to get it right. One thing that stands out is that when she dies, she dies horribly. I mean wow Crystal Dynamics you really do know how to make death scenes really gruesome. The game has sort of a linear progression however you set up camps and you can return to them to seek out items and tombs that you couldnt access before. Great game so far with a good story. I cant wait to see how it turns out.

I'll have to check out this game. It does seem that a lot of games include multiplayer and heavily promote multiplayer. I prefer single player, though to be honest, I've never tried multiplayer.

I have not, but have heard good things as well. I agree multiplayer is the 'rage' nowadays.
A lot of games don't need it. Including this one.

I have not gotten a chance to pop in Tomb Raider into my system yet but I am sure I will like it from what I am hearing. I am still not sure why they spent the time to do a multiplayer but oh well I think now a days they think they need to have one included. Has anyone picked up this title?
