So far, I am very amazed by this game. Everything seems to have been stepped up from the previous games. The game goes beyond your typical shooter. It is directed by John Carpenter, the same man who brought us the Halloween movies. So yes, there are some nice scare moments in the game. There are also some nice mechanics not found in your traditional shooter. There is a co-op mode that one person is a typical shooter, who can slow down time. The other person has out of this world abilities.
The multiplayer mode doesn't have a competitive mode, like the previous game mode did, which is kind of a bummer. However, what it lacks in there, and more than makes up in various cooperative modes.
I haven't made it too far in this game yet, but what I have seen so far, I am enjoying. So far, I believe the only demo can be found on OnLive, where you can try the first 30 minutes of the game free. I am pretty sure a demo should come for Xbox 360, PS3, and Steam in the near future. I know some people have bought this game and been pleasantly surprised; are you one of those people?
