the last dlc for modern warfare 3 droped recently. Boardwalk, and two others were among the last MW3 dlc maps to drop as everyone gears up for the Black ops 2.

Oh ok yea. I remember that part of the game. You had to except the content before playing it. Ok, yes that does help. Thanks

Oh well in modern warfare 2 there was a multiplayer map that was call Terminal. if you remember there is a level in that game where you shoot up a airport and kill innocent people. Well that was one of the multiplayer maps in that game. They ahve ported it over to modern wafefare 3 and it is free dlc map. Hope this clears it up a bit.

I just popped in the game after after a month of not playing. Got bored. I was playing Max Payne but i couldnt get into a match so thats why i popped it in. I saw that they ahve Terminal back in the maps for free for all users. I remeber how much I hated gettting show from every crack and hiding spots on that map. Being sniped from the cockpit brings back memories of not wanting to play MW2. I did fair much better this time around. LOL.

I normally play CoD for fun. I've never been too competitive, but for anyone looking for a super-fun match and easy way to level up quickly, try out Dropzone. You get tons of killstreaks, experience, and it's non-stop action no matter what type of team you get. It's pretty intense, but really fun too. Beats the hum-drum of just looking for someone to kill like in TDM or FFA. It's got to be my favorite match type. :D

Oh sidenote; I heard a rumor that the next set of maps will include Shipment (From MW1) as a new Face-Off map. Anyone else excited that this is true? It was SUCH a small map! So fast paced. Always had to be on your toes. And if anyone was lucky enough to get an airstrike...well, everyone just had to kiss the dirt, lol.

Sadly I'm not elite status each time I submit my information to join CoD Elite the server times out or I can't get my information through. My fiance, Christine, has the free one however. If I ever get it working I'd probably just do the free one too. I have the strategy guide which essentially tells me what elite does.

My question to anyone whose tried by chance. Has anyone else found the Finishing Moves not unlocking when you do them? I have done a number of them now many times (final kill with throwing knife, final kill with predator missle, final kill with stealth bomber, final kill with attack hellicopter) and they will not unlock to give me the titles. I don't understand what else I can do. I've played almost every game type out there (I typically play Domination, Demolition, Team Deathmatch, and Headquarters). Maybe it only works if it is TDM I don't know I'm at a loss of how to get them.

Just went to 4th prestiege last night and in less than two hours was at level 24. Found a great secret at naturally leveling up fast.

Aim for completing challenges from the Barracks. There are a few however to target in particular to level up quickly.

1. Use Marathon and you can level it up to Marathon Pro just by running around. Go on maps like Outpost, Mission, Village, and just run the whole match by the time the match is up you should have leveld it up to at least level 4 for around 20,30,000 xp. Once Marathon Pro is unlocked a new Challenge becomes available where all you have to do is mantle (climb over) objects so many times. Go to a level like Hardhat, or any one really, find a window sill or low ledge and just keep climbing in and out of it continuously the xp will rack up depending on the duration of the match. I hit a total of 80,000 xp in one game with it.

2. Another one you can do this to is the Dead Silence perk (perk 3) Basically makes you invisible at close range. Just use a shotgun or sub machine gun get a total of (i think it's) 100 kills to upgrade it to pro. When you have Dead Silence Pro you unlock the new challenge called Featherweight. Where all you have to do is fall more than 10 feet so many times. Simply go to a level with a staircase and run up, fall off, run up, fall off, over and over and again you can quickly ear a combined total of 30-50,000 xp.

3. Basic Training challenges are an easy way to level up quick as well. A total of 30 prone kills, 30 crouch kills, destroying 15 pieces of enemy equipment (turrets count), falling 15 feet or more and surviving (can be done anywhere), and faling to your death (can be done in the well at Seatown) can easily wrack you up around 50,000 xp.

4. Finally the fastest way to level up aside from those mentioned is to get a gun and do all the challenges under the barracks for the gun such as the MP41 assault rifle. Once the Red Dot Scope is unlocked at level 2, you have to get 60 kills with the red dot scope, that gives you 5000 xp, when the silencer is unlocked you need 15 kills with the silencer for another 3,000, when the grenade launcher attachment is unlocked you need 20 kills with it for another 2,000 xp. If you complete all the attachment challenges for one weapon you not only get the emblem for maxing it out you also get a total of around 100,000 xp total.

Yes I understand the need to do that for in your face action. I use the PP90 for a while and I was doing good but I got better once I got the ACR. I only use the sniper rifle on 2 maps.. all other I dont use at all and focus on AR.

Awesome Job Lobo I should be close to 5th Prestiege by now but I stayed back to get some challenges with friends working on the last few tonight then I'll take the big jump and keep running. Right now I'm settling in with the weapons that seem to work best for me and it seems to be the PP90m1 Sub Machine Gun, and the Striker Shotgun I don't know why but I can't really do range very well. I'm not accurate enough at quick scoping with sniper rifles so I'm going with quick and mobile death.

Wow you are working through it like a killer. Lol. I just reach level 50 this past weekend. I just tried the combo of ACR with red dot and kick and it works fantastic. I have had heart beat monitors on on my other weapons but I still dont get as many kills as I do with just plain sight. I took advice from the threads you posted and used slight of hand. Which I found works great because I tend to unload all my bullets into a person but get caught reloading.

There's a number of ways to get really high level really fast I'm getting close to second prestiege. Here are some ways to level up really fast.

If you were prestieged in Black Ops coming into MW3 you will get a certain number of prestiege tokens based on how many pretieges you were in Black Ops. With those tokens you can unlock Double XP for a two hour period so if you have 2 prestiege tokens you can unlock 4 hours of in game only double xp.

Like you said there are things you can buy that give you double xp. 20 oz bottles of mountain dew give 15 min in game, doritos give another 15 mins, if you input codes for both a drink and chip you get an extra 15 min bonus of double xp. And if you buy a 3 dollar case of mountain dew you get 45 mins. They do make it however when you can only input a total of 24 hrs in game double xp.

Another way is by launching a MOAB. If anyone on your team launches a MOAB (25 kill streak no deaths allowed). Your entire team for the rest of the match get double xp.

Also without double xp if you have a good team assembled Headquarters, Domination, and Demolition give the most experience of any gametype.

Also when you get higher levels and it takes longer to level up complete challenges for quick level ups I went from 73 to 75 in 2 games, thanks to completeing challenges.

Also the best all around set up I've seen and used in the game if any of you want suggestions for good combinations are as follows:

General Purpose AR Set-UP

Primary (Type 95, 2-Attachments,Red Dot Scope/Rapid Fire)
Secondary (Stinger Missle Launcher)
Lethal (Semtex)
Tactical (Smoke Grenade)
Perk 1 (Slight of Hand/Pro)
Perk 2 (Hardline/Pro)
Perk 3 (Stalker/Pro)
Strike Package--Support (Ballistic Vest, Stealth Bomber, EMP)
Death Package--Final Stand

General Purpose--Sub Machine Gun/Objective Based

Primary (P90, Kick, Red Dot Scope)
Secondary (MP9, Akaimbo)
Lethal (Throwing Knife)
Tactical (Concussion Grenade)
Perk 1 (Slight of Hand/Pro)
Perk 2 (Assasain/Pro)
Perk 3 (Steady Aim/Pro)
Strike Package--Support (UAV, Ballistic Vest, Recon Drone)
Death Package--Final Stand

Hope any of this helps

LOL, I do like the package choice. I'm with you on selecting the one that continues after death. This is something very similar to Homefront's point system.

I wish the matchmaking was similar to Halo's, where it seems more evenly matched. Some matches are so uneven in CoD. Still very fun and very addictive.

I think its better than the last one. The abilty to chose your package is great if you tend to die alot since they dont reset after you die. Which I tend to do alot however it still have problem with match making. sometimes i find myself with people that are level 80 and im the lowest ranked member in the pool. This is when I was at 5.They must be using the Double XP from Mountain dew. LOL.

Great game - the only problem is being distracted from my fitness!!! I've stayed up too late playing this, which only means they did a great job of keeping things addicting. Very similar to MW2 with some added weapons and game modes. I'm assuming most of you with interest have already played it. So what do you think, better or worse than earlier versions?

Okay so I played this game on Sunday and I really had a blast. I had the a good time leveling up and getting the support package. There were some games that I did pretty good and some where I did not do so good. But all in all I think I will keep coming back to it. I managed to stay getting the same amout of kills as deaths but still a fun fast pace action game. see you guys online.

I conveniently had an Endoscopy at the Doctor's Office yesterday morning so I had all evening to play and I have to say Battlefield 3 May be in trouble. Battlefield wasn't the only game that did a complete overhaul of it's dynamics. The only thing similar in MW3 to it's previous games is the game types.

Here's what I've noticed in many hours of playing it already. It has all new maps with new weapons, some old classics are back, but for the most part new stuff.

You get to choose between 3 types of killstreaks, Attack, Support, or Specialist.

If you choose Attack killstreak it acts like normal you get kills to unlock the killstreak and when you die if you haven't used it you still keep it but your kills reset and start all over. The killstreaks available to choose from using the Attack package are:

UAV, Care Package, IAM, Predator Missle, Sentry Turret, Air Strike, 5 Hellicopter Barrage, Hellicopter, Armored Hind, AC130, Guarded Care Package.

If you choose the Support package you don't lose the kills like you would with normal killstreaks, in other words you have UAV set which is 4 kills to get. If you get 3 kills and die you still have 3 kills toward the UAV it doesn't reset in other words if you have a killstreak that takes 10 kills all you need is 10 kills reguardless of dying or not. The Killstreaks available in Support Package are:

UAV, Counter UAV, Ballistic Vests, Fake Care Package, SAM Turret, Recon Device, Stealth Bomber, Advanced UAV, Juggernaut Armor, and Multiple Carepackages guarded by a Plane.

And finally the specialist package that you could choose from simply lets you add additional Perks to your character. You already start with three but with the specialist pack after 2, 4, and 6 kills you have any other 3 you choose, giving you a total of 6 perks at one time.

The killstreaks aren't the only thing that's been redone however, you now have the ability to level up your weapon. If I remember the max level your weapons can go to is 30 where it unlocks the golden form of the weapon but as your weapon unlocks it gains new things such as new scopes, the ability to have multiple attachments at once, less kick, more bullet impact damage, etc.

Top this with brand new levels a few new game types and the fact that doing objectives now counts toward your killstreaks, (yes you heard me right, playing domination? You capture an objective it count's towards your UAV or Hellicopter Killstreaks =D ). And this game is a huge contended for game of the year.

Sounds like it will be an exciting game. I however am too busy playing batman arkham city and will be busy the start of next year playing mass effect 3. I may skip out on this game this year or maybe pick it up later. I think the feature that you have to pick up the dog tags to earn the kill is great because it keeps people from being campers in the game that just love to snipe you. I think that is one of the reasons I stop playing MW2 because I could not run 2 steps before being shot dead.

Most recent game informer released that instead of doing killstreaks like in typical Modern Warfare games they're doing things a bit differently.

Now you can pick a class such as Offense or Specialist, or Support. Each class comes with it's own set of Kill Streaks for instance Offense comes with your offensive one's such as AC130, Chopper Gunner, Juggernaut Armor. While support comes with defensive killsteaks such as UAV, Care Package Trap, or a Care Package Guarded by a Hellicopter, or EMP.

They said at level 80 (looks like the leveling is jumping up another 10 levels), you unlock the ability to have all perks. Imagine that why choose 3 perks when you can have them all o_o.

Also a new gametype is being added it's essentially Team Deathmatch however to get credit for the kill you must take dogtags dropped by the downed enemy. This makes things difficult because you could kill an enemy but the enemy team stops you from getting to the dog tags thus you earning no points for the kill.

According to things that were said MW3 will be more similar to MW2 than it will be Black Ops

I may have to wait to see what everyone is playing. Also there are so many other single players games coming out that I may not want to pick this up since it does take up alot of time to play multiplayer. who knows. I think I will be playing batman more during that release.

I'm on the fence between this and Battlefield 3. We'll have to see what happens at E3.

As for Modern Warfare, I like MW2 more than Black Ops. Both in spec ops, multiplayer, and single player. The single player in Black Ops was constant action with no pacing. It got a little tiring after a few minutes of playing it. As for MW2, the single player was all over the place, but at least it had good pacing and interesting set pieces. It seems like MW3 will have more of that.

Battlefield 3 looks great too. I like playing different classes and being able to spot enemies for my teammates. However, I'm not a big fan of vehicles, I rarely drive them in any vehicle multiplayer game (Homefront, Halo, etc.). I just like to run and gun.

I always say "I might not get it.", but they are very consistant at raising the bar. So I might pre-order at last minute. I mean... All of my friends will be playing it, so what kind of friend will I be if I can't join them? lol

Trailers have been leaking out on this game now. I can not wait to see what they roll out with. This is one of the reasons that I held off from getting black ops because I knew they were going ot release this a year later. I hope they do a better job at balancing the game. Else I will be playing multiplayer way less this time around.
