I know this game is older, but I've finally gotten around to playing it. Usually you can say any games associated with movies will be mediocre, at best. And, if this game stuck to just the normal story mode it features, it would follow suite. The story mode is fun, features a bit of platforming, and is relativity short. However, they added a Toy Box mode, which adds tons of stuff to do. Consider the Grand Theft Auto for kids (big and small). Basically, you buy toys, which give missions. The more toys you get, the more missions appear. You can do them or you can just goof around.
This is a game that my kids like goofing around in, even if they don't fully get the controls. And it is a game I actually enjoy playing when they are in bed. It is fun. Here is a review from IGN, which gives them a solid 8 out of 10: xbox360.ign.com/articles/110/1101107p1.htm
