Has anyone played "Arrival for Mass Effect 2"?

Words can not describe the final mission. OMG. That was amazing. I managed to get 98% of the acheievements in one playthrough. The 2 I didnt get is beat the game on Insanity and beat the shadow brokers on hardcore. Im a casual gamers so I dont think I want to even try those. The game was intense as is. Good luck for those of you playing it. Part 3 coming out this year.

Leaked DLC has been annouced for Mass Effect 2. The DLC is called Arrival. So far no details on what its about but it might be a prequel to the trailer for Mass Effect 3 where the Reapers invade Earth. Looking forward to playing it.

Wow that is awesome. I am currely coming down to the last few side missions. Before I go after the FFV so I can access the Omega 4 relay. I have everyone loyal to me. All ship upgrades, armor upgrades all systems scanned and 90% depleted. Lol. I hope this does not affect Mass effect 3 that I have gobbled up all the resources from the planets. I like being able to go to shadow brokers place and making investment opportunities and coming back to check to see if they pan out.

Well I have downloaded some of the DLC's. I am currently trying to some missions for Liara on the planet she is like a information broker. I have played the one where you recruit the thief. That was pretty cool. Picked up some more guns on that expansion. I just want to have done everything before I go get the IFF to make the Omega 4 relay jump. So depleting planets of resources and upgrading everything is what I have been doing. Of course I am most of the type low on funds when I do things so I have been having to go visit planets several times for upgrades that I need for guns. This game is really getting me all hyped up for Mass Effect 3.

Yeah, sometimes these pre-order bonuses kill me. What if we aren't able to afford the game on release day? Some stuff I would pay money for later, if there was only a way. There is a black hole gun in Call of Duty's latest zombie map, but that is another story....

Sounds like you are really having fun with this one. Great game. Before you finish the story, you may want to consider picking up some of the DLC. While you are exploring, etc., now might be a good time to check out some of that extra stuff. I've heard some of the DLC is truly amazing. If it is like some of their other games, you can play some of it now and then some of it should be played after you finish. Not sure though.

Darn. That sucks that I can get that black hole gun. Oh well. Just working on the recruitment and loyality missions for my crew. Still scanning all the planets and trying to get sum achievements before going back to the main story to continue on. I am pretty sure how the game is going that I will be in for a tough fight but not there yet. Enjoying the open world and getting my characters maxed out. Lets see how it turns out in end.

Speaking of DLC, I forgot all about the Gamestop pre-order bonus for ME2. It was the black hole gun. I loved that thing. I was reminded about it last night for the new maps in CoD zombies.

Wilson I did see that they were going to release a opening comic book to simulate the ME1 but for someone that has never played ME1 they are going to be totally lost on it. I XPlay said that in their feedback episode how if you havent played ME1 you should get it. BEcause to me and you that have played it we know what exactly they are talking about instead of throwing out alien speices that no one would know about. It does have the major choices that are made during ME1 but I dont think they would fully apreaciate 2 without playing on in some way or form. I am not consulting a guide right now. I am doing alot of side missions and exploring the galaxy for all the minerals I can get so I can upgrde everything. I am leaving galaxies depleted of their natural resources. I did download the Nomandy crash site. Very emotional but maybe shouldnt have been a DLC because all you do is collected dog tags and put a momument for those who died. Oh you do find your helmet. LOL.

I heard that they plan to release the opening comic book that is in the ps3 version to the 360 version whenever they release the final dlc. That way you can get different me1 stories to play through me2 with. That would be awesome.

lol, yeah, you can say that. You'll have to make some choices. Do us a favor and don't consult a strategy guide on what choices to make and let us know how you make out in the end. Well, as much as you can without doing spoilers. I personally didn't do 100%. Next play through I'll have to look at a guide to make sure I finish 100%. You'll know what I mean when you get there. lol

I think I figured out the part of the game where you scan planets. I guess its an upgrade instead of being in the Makco and searching the surface for them. That is a plus to the game. I am starting to get the hang of the re loading your weapon and starting to pick up other weapons that some enemies may drop. Upgraded my ship Sheilds and weapons systems and other things. I guess this is all leading up to one climatic ending.

That is a shame that you got that ending spoiled for you. I think its worth seeing for yourself.

BTW, thanks for giving a spoiler alert. Yesterday I posted to Facebook how Kotaku gave Red Dead Game of the Year and then a person posted the ending of the game on my wall. I guess they assumed everyone beat the game....I hadven't. Yeah, that sucked.

Yeah, this is why it was hard for me to go back to ME 1 after completing 2. I wanted to go through from the beginning and recreate a character to bring through to 2, but I just couldn't. Should be able to now that I haven't played it in a while.

The game is truly great. The combat is so much fun to play. It is a tough choice of GotY. So many votes split between Red Dead and this. Many people are saying it should be a two winner year.

For those that got this recently on the PS3, there is a known issue that is corrupting save files. So far, the only method is creating a back up on a USB drive. Many players have gone 40+ hours into it and then BAM. The game freezes and upon reboot all the save files on the Hard Drive are corrupted. They are looking into the problem now.

I know I have been playing part 1 for the longest time now but I finally popped in my xmas present Mass Effect 2. I have to admit the game has really come a long way since one. Opening scene was very dramatic. Spoiler alert............................. The Normandy is attacked while investigating a distress call. Shepard is not able to escape and perishes. Cerburex spends 2 years recontructing Shepard this allows you to change your type of character from their if you want to change it. The game play is similar to God fo War type game play with cover mechanics. The action is fast pace and the bullets do fly. One grip is that you have to reload now instead of unlimited weapon fires in the first one. The map system is totally revamp and there are some time action sequences that allow you to use Paragon or Renegade type interaction. So if you though you can skip through alot of dialoge you might miss the event. YOu can tell your different squad members where to go sepearetly and the graphcis are really polished. So far just barely scratched the surface of the game but can tell that it will live up to mostof the Game of the YEar awards that it has been rightfully nominated for.
