Thanks to everyone for news on the move. Although i Have not been hearing much for upcoming games for it like I have for XBOX kinect I am glad people are still using it. I have been a sony fan boy for a pretty long time with the PS2 I still have yet to jump onto the Move bandwagon yet. I have Kinect which I love because there is no controller but I think that limits what you really can do with it in gameplay.

I think the Move is great for people like me. Lol, we're too cheap to buy all 3 game systems, and we're pretty much Sony people. Hence, going with the Move. For people who already have a PS3, it is just cheaper to buy the Move stuff than buying a whole new game system. Also, the PS3 communicates well with our Sony tv and head/AV unit so if I turn one on, the others turn on automatically and I can control all three from all three controllers, which is pretty cool for someone who always loses remotes. We do have a lot of fun with our Move system, though, and my four year old loves holding the stick (we set it up so she's always purple).

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit.

Oh yes, I use all three still. But the Wii is mostly used for Netflix in the bedroom now (Downgraded from the living room due to its lack of use), I mainly stick with my 360 and PS3 for gaming/entertainment needs.

I use my xbox for connecting with my friends because they are willing to pay the yearly xbox live fee, because it's cheaper than buying a PS3... which I don't understand because they've all spent about 300 bucks maintaining the xbox live fee alone over the last few years...

Anyhoo, now since development is including more titles for the PS3 I usually buy my single player titles for that system and my multiplayer (MW3, etc) for xbox. If you haven't a need for multiplayer or know enough folks on PS3 then there really isn't a reason to buy an xbox UNLESS you'd like to experience the kinect gameplay on a daily basis or other exclusives (Gears of War).

I like having them both, but I'm just greedy like that :)

Thanks DRWALKERIT I read a lot of reviews before deciding to switch from wii to Playstation.
The biggest selling point for us was the variety of games and better graphics of the PS3 compared to Wii. The Wii might have more motion controller games, but PS3 seems to have more types of games and all HD of course. Plus we use our PS3 every single day and the Wii was just sitting there collecting dust. It seemed like it was just taking up space.

Do you still have all three systems? My son wants us to get the XBox but I just don't see a need for it. The PS3 takes care of all our gaming needs.

No excuses!

No, you do not need the nag controller. You can use one or two move controllers. Using two makes it a bit more realistic, but all you need is the one controller to play. The gladiator game can also be played with only one controller, it can switch from shield movements to sword movements depending on if your holding down a button or not.
If your into more 'core games, I'd recommend the nav controller. You'll need it if you play things like Heavy Rain or the FPS genre.

I will say this though, after owning a wii, the kinect and a PS3 move, the move is my favorite due to its accuracy and quick response to the games I play. I love that the kinect can sense my body, but it has trouble tracking me accurately or without a noticeable delay. If you don't mind calibrating yourself before the games, the 3D accuracy of the Move has been awesome.

We are replacing our Wii with the Playstation Move. Does anyone have any game recommendations? I would like Sports Champions and The Fight Lights Out for sure, but not sure if any of the others are worth it. I'm probably going to get it used because the individual components are expensive. This may seem like a dumb question but you don't need the nav controller to play the archery game on Sports Champions do you? I saw a video that showed the person playing holding the regular move controller in one hand and the nav controller in the other, like the wii nunchuck and wiimote position for archery, but the Sports Champions bundle does not come with a nav controller so...do I need it or not?

No excuses!

It's the same as the game console. COmes with one controller which is what you need for most games. If you want to play two player you need another controller. Simple

If you already have a PS3 it is a pretty easy/inexpensive way to add "Wii" type functionality without buying another game system.

I have to agree on that statement Wilson. Sony has said they shipped 4 million units to both US and Latin America but did not say sold. You can ship all you want but if you doing sell it then what is the point. Yes it can get really expensive with having to buy multiple controllers.

No way they sold 4 million anything of Move. Sony is always giving out random numbers that aren't really representative of the actually scenario.

The problem with move is that nobody knows what they need and if they actually figure it out, they're depressed by the price.

I've been trying to get an extra controller for my move and the controllers are sold out everywhere so they must be doing well.

I am looking forward to more games.

Well you know that they said that they shipped 4 million units but I dont think they said sold that many. Also it was stated that it was 4 million shipped to US and Latin America. not just US totals like most numbers by other groups are given. Are they trying to hype up their numbers.

PS Move is doing pretty well. They sold over 4 million units from launch through Black Friday. Granted, these counting controllers, which some people buy multiples of, but it is still a solid number.

There are some fun games for the Move, which still has some neat features. Even a VP at Microsoft has publically stated that it is a good piece of technology. I don't think it is going it is going to be phased out.

lol @ HD DVD. Not sure what Xbox is going to do in the next go around. With bigger games, they almost need some kind of bigger disk size. They may have to produce their own HD disk just for games. I feel sorry for all those people that bought the 360 add-on for HD movies. My friend almost did.

I don't think I totally missed out. It's not a limited release? For some reason my kids and hubby were set on the ps move. Oh well. I guess our xbox is on it's last legs anyway! There will be another birthday and another Christmas! We end up with every game system it seems.

Are ps move games going to be like betamax? Or HD DVD? Lol.

I was thinking about it but it reminds me too much of the Wii. They just call the numbchuck a navagation stick. I think you really missed out on the Kinect especially since you lost out on Kinectables, Kinect Adventures, Dance Central, Joyride and others games to come soon. The system is user friendly unlike move that you have to calibrate every game on and hard to know when you are out of range. Sorry for the bad review but thats how I feel about it right now.

I get that the PS 3 Move is probably the least favorite out of the 3 systems - but after seeing it at my parent's house, my kids really wanted this. So in lieu of a birthday party at a location like laser quest or chuck e cheese, we bought the MOVE system for our PS3. (Same price really!)

I had the Kinect waiting for Christmas, but my husband and I decided budget wise to return it since we got the Move instead.

My kids really like the Move and I like the camera feature EyePet is pretty cute, but can get frustrating if the lighting isn't right or if you don't have the controller calibrated. Right now all they've played is Eye Pet and the game that came with it. My hubby got the boxing game, thinking it would be his workout.

Part of me wishes we had got the kinect, and who knows - we'll probably eventually get it! Maybe once the games and bundle go down in price, or if our XBOX 360 dies anytime soon, we'll find it! When we returned it to Costco (it was the bundle, because my hubby wanted the bigger hard drive on the XBOX) she said "Are you sure?" because they are selling out like crazy! Then I wanted to keep it, but fiscally we decided to return it.

I'd like to get more games for the Move, but for now the 3 we have are entertaining the kids enough! They'll get new Wii games for Christmas and probably be back doing that again soon anyway.

Anyone else get the PS Move?

Christy
