Hmm, that's strange about the logo on the Wii Fit Plus box. Is it just the game? I know originally it came out as just the game (no balance board included, which is why Mommy_T had to correct me, heehee) and you had to have Wii Fit because you needed the balance board, and that was the only way to get it. So maybe that's why?

I always use Amazon for reviews, so check out the difference between MFC and MFC2. I do like Gold's Gym though.

I got out EA Active, and actually liked it again :) I didn't realize they showed you the exercises and you could remove ones you don't want (I can't do any of the running ones.) I felt I got a better work out, not limited to just the balance board.

At Best Buy Wii Fit Plus says on the box ONLY FOR WII FIT OWNERS! Maybe it was a different version? MFC is less than MFC2, so maybe I'll get the first one.

I was boxing EA today and enjoyed that as well. Maybe I'll make a boxing routine and try it out for a while! I will look into getting GG too, I've heard good things about it.

Thanks everyone :)

You can actually get the Wii Fit Plus with the board, if you didn't already have it with the regular Wii Fit. Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus are two different/separate games. It might look like they need each other because the Plus has all the same features as the first one included in it as well as its own new stuff.

From my understanding (from Tema) is that MFC2 is more like Wii Fit on the exercise stuff and then has a nutritional tracker (that you'd probably prefer SP over anyway).

MFC the original is more like a DVD workout where you can have a little feedback of if it was too easy, too hard, or just right (and it will adjust for the next time). It can be quite enjoyable, but it is more following along that actually doing anything with the Wii. Also, it will be a different workout (different order, different exercises) each time.

If you like the Rhythm Boxing on Wii Fit/Plus, then you'll probably like Gold's Gym---it's all boxing--either to the rhythm, following the pattern, etc. There might be some "free boxing" but I really haven't done any (but then I haven't fully explored the game either).

Don't get MFC2; it's not nearly as good as MFC1. But no, you don't need 1 to have 2.

And you don't really need Wii Fit to use Plus; you need the balance board, which means you'll end up with Wii Fit, but they are separate stand-alone games.

I have Just Dance - it's fun!

I have EA Active and I'm not that thrilled with it, but I think I just need to get used to it. I don't like not knowing what exercises I'm going to get. But that happens on the Wii Fit Plus routines as well, I guess.

I have been trying to decide between Fitness and Golds. Question, if I buy My fitness Coach 2, do I need to have the first game too (Like Wii Fit - you need both)

My Fitness Coach would be good for you; they have yoga and cardio, abs, upper body, lower body, flexibility, and maybe core exercises ... lots to choose from. You can choose 15, 30, 45, 60, or 75 minute workouts, and they're never the same twice.

Love Gold's Gym as well, and if you like the rhythm boxing, that's pretty fun. Really gets you sweating.

I really enjoy EA Sports Active. You can do the 30 or 45 day challenge (depending on which one you have) without needing to program anything, and it's a good all-around workout. I have created some custom workouts for my strength training; I don't want all the cardio, so I pick just lower body or upper or abs.

Another good one, although not a true fitness game and it doesn't monitor anything, is Just Dance. It's all dancing and if you follow the movements with your lower body as well, it really works you out.

And if you like walking (and some jogging) and can't get outdoors, try Walk It Out. It's strictly a walk-to-the-beat game, but you earn credits for hitting the beat and you can build up your island so you have something to work toward.

My Fitness Coach has strength training, cardio, and yoga on it. It does have a place to record measurements and weight to measure progress.

Yeah I have played the DDR. Same concep in Gold Gym. The block in that that game is throwing your hand to the side of the head that you have to block with. So its a quick movement. There is duck, dodge to left and right and side steps.

Isn't there a "block" and a "dodge"? if so, block is stand still. The special punch has to do with the timing. Ever play DDR (Dance Dance Revolution), if so it's the same concept. You want to get it on the beat, if you're close, you get 1 point and a yellow "pow" effect, if you're right on you get 2 points and a red "pow" effect.

Gold's Gym Cardio Workout is a great rythmn boxing game. You can have a trainer pick your workout or you can do your own session. There very hard ones are about 2-10 minutue halves and if you pick out a warm up that will be a total of almost 30. There are also other just simple exercises like push ups, squats, jump rope and running in place and punching.

Hey all - I'm not a "true" gamer but I live with a bunch of gamers! I am using the Wii Fit Plus right now and I really like it. Right now I'm obsessed with Rhythm boxing, so much I think I hurt my elbow! I finally got up to 3 stars, but I struggle with getting the big "pow" on every punch. I also am not sure what "block" means? Is it just standing back on the board, or do you have to sway? I'm a loser - I know! I am proud that I got the 3 stars, but I'll go back and miss a bunch of punches and it makes me so frustrated!

Any others suggestions for good, longer cardio workouts on the Wii? Also maybe some better and more variety on the Yoga. I love using the weigh in feature and tracking the time on the Wii Fit. I've played around with EA sports Active a bit, but find it more difficult to program a workout or just try out various activities without too much downtown figuring out the menu.

Thanks! Christy
