The biggest loser game is great but i will say it has its drawbacks. It wants you to track calories so you have to enter that. Also any offgame work outs for each day and then on weigh in you will weigh in with one of 6 contestants to chose from. It will tell you the weight you loss but it will reflect the weight loss to the character you chose based on if you did everything else by logging in and hitting your workouts with the trainers. Don't get me wrong I like the workouts with Bob or Jillian. But I woulld have hoped it be more exciting for the weigh in's.

So I am thinking about getting this game - what are other thoughts about it?

Right now I'm doing Wii Fit but I want longer Cardio routines, not just the 5 minute Advanced Step and Free Step is boring to me. Any suggestions?

You can log in the outside activities into the biggest loser game. So I dont think that would mess up your routine that bad. I am finding so far that the first week they only have me working out every other day. I did Full Body on Monday and yesterday was Yoga. I have to admit Yoga was hard. I actually feel sore this morning from it. Today will try to burn more calories with Cardio Boxing. Friday will be Lower Body. Already grinning at that one.

This game sounds cool. The only thing is that I have a good gym routine going for me right now. I would hate to play this game and never be on schedule with my gym routine. The worst thing is pulling muscles or body shut down. Not an excuse not to work out. But I think when I get done with this current workout plan I will give this a try!

Day 2. Was a rest day and boy I think I needed it since Day one was a full body workout. Day 3 will be Yoga but I think I will add some walking in and maybe some Cardio boxing from my other game to burn some calories. First weigh in will be Sunday. I think this first week is no elimination week so I better do good. I have been tracking using sparks and inputing that number in for my calories for the meals. Lets see how today goes.

Day 1 of playing this game. I had set my workout setting to expert since most games start off pretty slow and expert is usually where my level is at when I first get on. Big mistake. I was training with Bob and he really kicked my butt on expert that I couldnt go on any longer past 10 mintues. I stopped. Restarted with new settings and with lower settings. I was able to stick with that work out for the whole duration. I will have to admit that it really gave me a run for my money and its only day one. I am using the spark log to load in my calories for the day. The work out are brutal even on easy. But the good thing is that it gets your heart rate up and has a very good trainer pushing you through it. Encouraging I would have to put it. Lets see how the rest of the week pans out.

Thanks Tema. In the spirit of the contest I would like to see my below 300 before the end of the this current biggest loser contest. That is a little less than 4 weeks away.

Okay finally picked up this game this week. I though since I can not lose weight at the gym then I should try another avenue. The game at first glance looks pretty decent. Simple and not hard to follow. My first weigh in will be Saturday and I am playing as Bernie, the Biggest loser at home winner from I beleive season 2. I chose bob as my trainer and may switch to Jillian later. The only thing I dont like about it is that the calorie tracker for the food is horrible. I mean it does estimate it by asking if you had a small, medium, or big meal, or no meal at all for the breakfast lunch and dinner. Or you can input your calories yourself. I guess I will have to do that myself using sparkpeoples calorie counter. Wish me luck on this weeks weigh in.

It sounds like the gold gym is actually a calorie burning but I guess that was to be expected when you are constantly moving your feet and throwing punches ducking and diving. You may not realize it but your doing squats while you play that game. LOL.

I think it was like around $249 for the GoWearFit armband and the digital display. The GWF is about a hundred dollars cheaper than the BodyBugg and it has the exact same features on it. I got it for a bit cheaper as well because when you go to check out, it asked if you had a coupon code so I googled quickly and I was able to find one for 10% off and it worked!

I love mine. You can even wear it to bed and when you upload the data, it tells you when you laid down, and when you actuall fell asleep. I am up several times a night (I already knew this) and you can see what time I'm tossing and turning, and what time I actually get out of bed.

GWF is the exact same features as the bodybugg, only a hundred dollars cheaper. I love my digital display. It keeps track of your steps, calories burned, how many activity minutes you have (moderate and vigorous), and of course the time. It also keeps track of how you did the day before, that day, the target goals you have set for yourself, and a "trip" setting. That is what I use to reset the calorie burn so I know exactly how much I'm burning per workout.

To check it out go to:
www.gowearfit.com

I did the cost comparison of both gwf and the bb and the gwf is cheaper. It also comes with a 12 month subscription to the site. You need it though to upload your data (armband holds 14 days worth of data) to see how you are doing, input your current weight, and change goals.

Donna! Thank you, thank you, thank you for the calorie per minute info! That's a huge help.

I have very little time to exercise (30-45 mins tops) and having this info really helps me plan what exercise I can do. Especially now that it's going to get colder.

Thanks again!!!

I've been playing with the Wii Fit Plus since Monday and I think it's fun. I bought the Biggest Loser today and did a light workout with warmup and cooldown, and thought it was a good workout.

But then, I got looking around the menu and decided to try the challenge of the Light Cycle with Fire Drills and Football Runs. I got to #2 spot after eliminating some players. That challenge is quite the workout. Really had my heart pumping, and I just about quit during my last round. I actually did stop moving for a bit, just to catch my breath. It is that good of a workout.

I wear a GoWearFit armband (exactly like a BodyBugg what the Biggest Loser contestants wear) and I keep track of my calories burned for each workout. Here's my stuff for today:

Gold's Gym Cardio Workout - 33 min - 275 cal burn (8.3 cal/min)

Wii Fit Plus - 44 min - 157 cal burn (3.56 cal/min)

Biggest Loser Light Workout - 41 min - 157 cal burn -(3.82 cal/min)

BL Light Cycle Challenge (Light) - 28 min - 188 cal burn - (6.71 cal/min)

I guess it all depends on how hard you are working and what level you are working at.

Ok all I bought the game today and I was shocked I was really shocked I like it a lot...it's so far is good...and no cliches in it...I think they did a great job with this one...I was very hesitant about getting this one but I'm glad I did...

I could only work on it about 25 mins but enjoyed what I worked on which was of course the easy level...there are a few more levels you can go with medium, hard, intense and one more can't think of it right now...

I set up my program and you have to chose a previous player from the former biggest loser contestants and there was only one African American there so I chose her...it would be awesome if they had the choice of unlocking more character...but I didn't see anything like that...there is a lot lot lot more to the game but as I said I could only do about 25 mins today will do more tonight...It also counts your calories...

It gives you the choice of selecting a 4, 8 or 12 week program...and set weight loss goals...I think Bob even mentioned something about earning fitness trophies...well that's all I know for now...will do more and report back later

If You're tired or starting over stop giving up

I think I would think about getting it if I did not have a gym membership. But I may not get it. I may get ideas on how to do my workout routines but I have to wait to see.

I guess for me the thing I would like the most is that you can be eliminated. How far would you be able to go.

It's more the programmers of the game, than Jillian Michaels herself...but yes, I do question it being good.

Sound interesting for those that wanted to see play on that game show.

The Biggest Loser video game is a fun and engaging way for players to get in shape and maintain their ideal fitness. Set at The Biggest Loser ranch, players can take The Biggest Loser challenge and compete in 4, 8 or 12 week programs against former contestants from the television show, or workout with a friend to form a support system to see who really is The Biggest Loser. Players will work-out to a series of structured routines with special weekly challenges, weigh-ins and eliminations, or they can even create their own workouts. Workouts include upper, lower and core body exercises, as well as cardio and yoga exercises. Progress is documented on a calendar that keeps track of in-game achievements, upcoming training and weigh-in dates. Players can also receive credit for any progress made while not playing the video game, such as going for a walk or a bike ride. The video game also features 50 healthy recipes from the BiggestLoserClub.com and The New York Times best-selling book series The Biggest Loser to help users learn how to eat right for optimal weight loss. Throughout the Wii workout program, suggestions and tips from contestants and trainers will also help guide players as they transform their lives via diet and exercise. The video game also features an interactive calorie counter that tracks what players are eating and recommends their daily intake based on individual goals. When paired together, the Wii and Nintendo DS games become powerful training partners with the Nintendo DS serving as a portable tool that can be used to count calories, as well as serve up healthy recipe suggestions on the go. Players can take their ‘trainer’ with them for food, exercise and diet tips that encourage them to stick to their fitness goals no matter where they are.
