I have had this intention to play Assassin's Creed for quite a while but something always seems to come up. So I was excited to see it online....not for thirty bucks though. My local Gamestop has it for about seventeen used. Same goes for Prey which is twenty online but about eight used. I'll take the short drive to save some cash. I think I will try the Netflix two week trial in the near future though.
I like some of the stuff for the avatars but got my guy to look like Les Grossman from Tropic Thunder so it would mess it up.

Before it was completely crap with it down-scaled so badly that it just couldn't be looked at. We got MUCH better quality watching through an s-video connection from my Hubby's laptop than from the xbox's high-def. component cables.
But now, it's really good looking (and worth actually having the live gold membership that we got specifically for netflix). (Although we are using the gold membership to now play on 1 vs. 100--especially on Monday nights!)
Haven't checked out the other stuff, but I'm most definitely NOT buying stuff for the avatar.

I updated and I think I'm going to like the games on demand...I checked them out and they are kind of pricey....but I like the ideal of getting the game when you want to instantly...also I think you need your credit card to download them...I don't think it's taking the points
I like the avitar marketplace but I'm never going to pay for the outfit...I like yourself want to unlock the suits

I haven't updated yet.( I play on weekends mostly) I will check it out. I don't have the netflix, but that sounds cool. I hope a lot of games offer things for avatar for achievements, or a way to trade in achievement points for stuff. That would be cool.

So the new Xbox update came yesterday with lots of changes. Things include: sortable friends list, launching games from the achievement list, games on demand, avatar marketplace, netflix update, game on harddrive tweak, etc.
What is your favorite update?
Personally, I like the new stuff for the avatar, but don't want to pay $5 for a light saber. I hope to unlock outfits by playing other games though.
The Netflix update is cool..gives you more selections without having to go online and update the list. Plus, the theatre party mode is awesome. I was online last night with a fellow spark team member watching a movie. Both of our avatars were there in the "theatre" watching the movie at the exact same time. It features some funny actions..like yawning or clapping, etc.
