Yes, I am excited about the release of this one too. Taking place in vegas will be pretty fun.

Capcom Confirms 'Dead Rising 2'
Posted by Stephen Johnson - Monday, February 09, 2009 9:50 AM

We knew it was coming, but now it's official: Capcom has announced Dead Rising 2. The sequel to the zombie slaying open world game will be out on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Dead Rising 2 is set several years after the infamous zombie invasion of Willamette, in "a country where zombie outbreaks continue to strike." The game is set in Fortune City, a Vegas-like town, complete with slot machines, roulette tables, and cocktail waitresses to rescue from brain-crazed undead shamblers.

The first game's protagonist, Frank West, is nowhere to be seen, but the new zombie slayer sure has a spiffy leather jacket, eh?

Some members from the original Dead Rising team will be working alongside developers Blue Castle Games, including Capcom’s global head of research and development, Keiji Inafune, who as the game’s producer will "play an active role in the project."

I loved the first Dead Rising and hope the new one lives up to the glory of the original title. What about you? Are you a Dead Rising fan?
