You two seem pretty mixed like me. The librarian looked at me funny when at handed over a Dixie Chicks album accompanied with a 50 Cent album. ;o)

Speaking of Heart, did anyone see the Fergie/Heart song on American Idol Give Back? I'm sure it is on youtube by now. It totally rocked. I'm not sure what Fergie was doing, back-flips or somersaults, but it was cool. Heart did their thing as well.

I just got my first iPod last week as a birthday present, so I'm still working on filling it up.

I mostly listen to modern rock, alt. rock, and some country (Garth Brooks era stuff). But, I've got a pretty eclectic bunch of music in all, including They Might Be Giants, Buddy Holly, and Dean Martin. :-)

I like to listen to Alternative Music, Linkin Park, Snow Patrol, Green Day, Muse, etc.. I like emo and deathmetal type music alot. When I first worked out when I was in 7th grade, I used to emo out and motivate myself for football/wrestling stuff. When you're a chubby kid who gets picked on alot, you have much pent up aggression.
Rap can go on my IPod too.

I listen to a variety of music. A little bit of this and a little bit go that. I think the only rap music songs I have in my MP3 player are Bone-THug-and Harmony's Crossroads song and 2Pac's I aint Mad at you. Other than that it usually Latin Rock and Pop, Regular Rock and Pop, some alternative, a small amount of country and some dance beats.

"Fight the Fat!" ,"Eye of the Tiger!",“There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.”

The closest thing I get to rap is Beastie Boys and Linkin Park. lol

My music is on my page. I listen to hard rock, classic rock, almost anything. It has to be hi-octane (when did music become cheaper than gas?) I start off with Metallica or Staind or Disturbed and then cool off with something slower, some Aerosmith or Heart.

I love music in general. I have a little bit of everything, from show tunes to death metal. I usually check out the music at my library and they have a ton of stuff. I also pull in songs from internet radio.

As for rap, I like Eminiem, Jay Z, and Timbaland
As for country, I like the older artists too, such as Alan Jackson, Hank Jr., Tim McGraw. I actually am disgusted by Hick-Hop, smashing guitars during a country awards show, and Keith Urban.
As for metal (soft), I like Metalica, Korn, and Evanescence

I have over 5,000 songs on my iPod (thanks again library!) so thank goodness for the smart playlists in iTunes. I create some lists based off beats in the songs, some lists based off of how long it has been since I played the song, etc.

The main thing on my mp3 player is Cake, always gets me moving...
Then there's a little Sublime, Black Eyed Peas, Beastie Boys, Jack Johnson, and lots of other older stuff...

I am not so much a fan of a lot of newer artists.

We must all suffer from one of two pains: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. The difference is discipline weighs ounces while regret weighs tons.
