That's awesome! I should get back to this game. I've been playing Saints Row and GTA III to get ready for the April 29.

I made it all the way to number 1 this weekend! The ending was pretty cool, and there is a new game plus option that I didn't know about. Now that I've beaten the game, I can play again with higher difficulty levels, starting with the clothes, katanas, and money that I ended the game with. Also, it looks like the treasure chests that had cards in them before, now have behind the scenes extras like concept drawings.

I don't know if I'll take the time to play it through again, but I am a little tempted. I bet it would go a lot faster this time.

On the other hand, I could trade it in toward Mario Kart now...

I love the cell phone calls too.

I had to turn on the subtitles, since the sounds from the game were bothering my husband while he was napping, and they work for the calls too.

I think if I played SSBB with Captain Falcon a lot I would turn off the speakers. I think some of his sound effects are pretty annoying. :-)

I have been too busy with Final Fantasy 7 to even pop in the game into the wii anymore. I am sure I will get back to it soon.

That's cool, thanks for the info. I think I read in the manual something about getting some sort of treasure finder.

Next time I play the game, I'll have to turn the wiimote speakers up. I turned them off for something annoying in Brawl (forget now). But, the cell phone calls are too funny in Heroes.

I found out that the balls and the things that you can find with your katana show up on your map.

Maybe they weren't always there, but at some point I noticed little orange dots all over the place. I tracked them down, and each one was either a ball or a place to dig. When you're close to a place to dig, move around slowly and the wii-mote will vibrate to let you know exactly where to dig.

Sorry for the double post.

I only got a taste of this game before my son arrived and I was having to turn off the systme because I did not want him seeing and hearing all the rated M stuff on the game. Like cussing and limbs flying off. Just gonig through the tutorials.

Yeah, those Lobikov balls were pretty addicting. I ran around town listening for the sound they make as you get near them. I swear I hear that sound in other games now. I hadn't even met the old man yet before I started hunting for them. lol

I just got the trash pick-up job; that cat one sounds fun.

Have you found anything by random digging with your katana? I keep digging and haven't come up with anything yet.

And yeah Lobo, you're probably right about not playing it in front of your son. This is definitely the most "m" rated game on the Wii yet; even more than RE4.

I have spent way too much money on clothes. I did find out that you can get t-shirts by opening up dumpsters. Now I've got a pretty good t-shirt collection. :-)

I like some of the side quests, but I don't like others. So, I just do the ones that I like. It's nice that there is a pretty wide variety to pick from. My favorite job so far is hunting down stray cats. It's just so out of place with the rest of the game.

I generally prefer the assasination missions over the jobs, though. They pay better and they seem to go faster.

I did take the time to track down all of the Lobikov balls. There are some pretty cool powers that you get with those.

What do you think of the side quests? Personally, I like them. They provide a good break up from the game. If you want to do more slashing, then you can earn $ doing that. If you want to pick up trash, so be it.

What about going to the gym and buying clothes, etc. Do you find yourself doing that too?

I took a break from Brawl to play this a bit last weekend. I'm up to #4 in the rankings. :-)

It's a good game, even if the level of violence is a little disturbing. As long as you keep in mind that it isn't an any way set in the real world (but it does comment on the real world) it's OK.

Cool beans. Yeah, let us know what you think. I had to take it out of my machine for Brawl, but may be back to playing it soon. It is a very different sort of game, but yet fun.

Just purchased the game yesterday but have not had time to pop it into my Wii. I will bringing a review of the game as soon as I can.

LOL, yeah it took me a while to get used to the motorcycle too. It gets really crazy with the nitro kicked in (I think it is the 'c' button). Not sure if you knew this or not, but if you want to get back to the motel quickly, you can run your motorcycle off the cliff or into the river and it will bring you back without any damage or loss of money.

Be sure to let us know when you are ranked the #1 assassin. I think I'm #8 right now; been spending a lot of time doing side jobs to save up for better katana blades and working out at the gym.

I was able to track down a copy of this over the weekend, and I've put several hours into it already.

It's lots of fun. The difficulty level seems to be just about perfect for me. It's challenging without being frustrating.

However, I am terrible at driving the motorcycle. I can't count how many poles I have taken out. :-)

I heard this game got 5 out of 5 stars on G4. They said it was great game with a great story and the use of the wii remote makes it worth playing. I want to get my hands on it but my game store doesnt carry it since no one pre ordered it.

If you dig Kill Bill, you'll more than likely dig this game. The story is simple. You play as Travis, who is ranked the 11th top assassin in the world. Your job is to kill the top 10 and be ranked #1. You'll meet with and have some comical exchanges with many characters between you and #1.

You can't just go and kill them though. You have to pay money to have a chance to fight them. To earn money, you do some odd ball jobs set in a pseudo GTA level design. You drive around, find a job, use the Wiimote to complete the job, and then go to the next level. The jobs are actually kind of fun too.

Now, for the important part, the controls. They are very fun. You won't be slashing away like Red Steel, but rather hitting the A or B button and then using various arm movements for finishing moves (lobbing heads off, slicing in half, or just doing a wrestling back flip, etc.) This is where the games shines and becomes extremely satisfying.

As for the camera, it feels a lot like Mario 64, where it is good most of the time, but does get a little twisted time to time. You can fix this by hitting the "c" button.

Not much of an RPG element to the game. You can buy a couple of t-shirts, upgrade you katana, but it is mostly slash, slash, slice, and spray.

I'm glad to hear that someone else has played this. I've been thinking of picking it up with my tax refund.

Does it have a real story? Is it more of an action game or an adventure RPG? How are the controls and the camera?

Thanks for the review!

If Quentin Tarantino made a video game, this would be it. Instead the Tarantino of games, Suda 51, has stepped up again to bring us No More Heroes.

If you can appreciate the quirkiness of Kill Bill, then this game is probably up your alley. Gallons of stylized blood, throwback music, interesting dialog, and the best part...using a lightsaber. OK, it is called a "beam katana", but we all know what it is supposed to reference.

The game itself isn't the best in graphics, but the style more than makes up for. The basic attacks are easy via button hitting and the finishing moves completed by swinging the controls in various directions.

You may want to check out some youtube videos to get a sense of style (some may like, some may not). Personally, I think this game is pretty fun and would recommend at least a rental.
