Well, here's hoping that a decent Batman or Ironman game comes out over the summer. Ironman is a cool character to play in Marvel's Ultimate Alliance. He has a special "airstrike" attack that kicks some major butt.

There is one big exception to the whole movie / game comparisons, and that is Lego Star Wars. I may just have to go post that on another thread. I wonder if Lego Batman or Indiana Jones will be as good.

Yeah but you have to admit that it really didn't do so well in the box office. Now had they released the Final Fantasy advent children in its place. Then you may have to say that movie based on part 7 of the series was awesome. I really liked that version of it.

I saw the first Final Fantasy movie, and it was OK. It certainly wasn't as bad as some of the other video game movies. I think it helped that it was an original story line, it wasn't actually based on any of the Final Fantasy games, it just took place in a Final Fantasy world.

I thought it should have had more inside jokes for gamers, but I guess they had to appeal to the masses as well.

But, don't even get me started on video games based on movies, they are almost always terrible, and the ones that aren't terrible are only acceptable.

Well we picked up Rayman Ragin Rabbids 2 a couple of weeks ago and it is a lot of fun. Instead of the dancing, in this one you rock out in a band. I give it a B. Mainly bc single player can get a bit boring but the humor and multiplayer is awesome!!

Yeah, the movie/video game transitions don't usually go well. This dates all the way back to ET for the Atari.

I did like the Matrix game for the original Xbox. Not that it was a fantastic game, but they filmed the cutscenes the same time as the movie. You got a lot of the side story stuff that wasn't in the movie. This was focused on Jada Smith's character & ship. Great film quality.

Oh, and even though very different in storylines, I like both the Resident Evil games and movies.

Has anyone watched the Final Fantasy movies? Someone here at work says they like them, but never played the game. I was just wondering.

I got this game as part of my employee appreciation day and got 4 games for 20 bucks. The game had to be at least 19.99 in order to play it. First of all I have to say that there is a reason this game dropped from 59.99 to 19.99 in just one month. It blows chuncks. The first level you race some other guy to go fight this monster. You climb up walls and unlike assassins creed where you know where you want to grab you dont in this game. Only to fight a bunch of crabs on the beach and prove to others that your the best. I took me at least 15 trying to figuer out where to go in the race and its not like the other guy is trying to win. The the boss battle is horrible. The boss does the same thing over and over again. punch in the head and follow a sequence of buttons to rip its horn off and stab it in the eye. This game gets a rating of an F- in my book. Took it back the game store for store credit.
