Good morning group! I lost 4 and gained 3 this week. Not very positive, but I guess still losing 1 is better than nothing! LOL

I am taking Buddy to the Vet for a suspected allergy (Westies are know for their allergies) in about an hour so I will be sparking until I have to leave.

Down only .2 pounds this week, but I plan on being active and NOT going crazy pigging out this weekend so hopefully next week will be a bit better. It's really hard to eat properly since we don't have a kitchen at the moment since they're doing construction on the house.

I booked an appointment for a pedicure with my friend tonight. I haven't had a pedi in ages, I'm so excited.

Hope everything is well with you all - soon it'll be time for a new group. If I don't get a chance to say it before we split up again I hope to see everyone around and stop by one anothers pages to check in. You guys have been a tremendous help and fabulous inspiration along the way :)

Evening Ladies,

Sounds like everyone's keeping very busy this week.

Licia, hope you're feeling better soon.

Weigh in day for me is Wednesdays, I have a similar situation with the weekends, it seems those are the worse eating days for me also. I have no problem eating correctly during the weekdays at all.

Positive thought for the day: Tomorrow is totally "ME" time, and I can't wait, I'm going to soak it all in, and be selfish with myself.

Thanks for being such a great team, we did pretty good on the challenges, and just helping each other out on a daily basis. Hopefully, we'll see each other around the BSG for next month.

Eileen, I'm not a Monday weigher because I usually eat pretty poorly on the weekends :x I give myself all week to "get back on track" and go with the Friday weight. It's probably a bit counterproductive - if I forced my weigh in on Monday I wouldn't eat so bad Saturday and Sunday, or at least Sunday but it's just the habit I've gotten myself into.

Tonight I have step and rebounding...I think I like Thursday night workouts the best because they're two 30 minute classes instead of the longer 45 singles. Makes it easier to tolerate somehow, plus I really like the instructor on Thursdays. I love my Friday afternoon instructor the best but she's such a hard ass lol and I always seem to drag Fridays.

Positive thought for the day: I get to spend the weekend doing girly stuffs with my roommate. I'm in desperate need of a wax and a pedicure and then I think she and I are going appliance shopping. I also have Bride Wars coming from netflix, woohoo. All this will hopefully distract me from being sad I don't get to see my boyfriend because he's moving into his new place this weekend and I'd just get in the way :x

good morning ...

its another rainy day here with nothing to do i did exercise earlier so thats good and i ate right yesterday

Brooke, do you find it better to weigh in at the end of the week versus the beginning? I usually weigh in on Mondays.. but thinking that maybe weighing in on Friday may force me to eat right Sat-Friday? I tend to fall off the wagon, and I'm thinking maybe psychologically this may work better?

Anyone else find a better weigh in day? and reason why?

Hi All. Back from my parents house! I had a really great time, went to the beach, and fit in some swimming activity, but couldn't handle the great food there!!

There is always an abundance of food and eating going on there (could be where I picked up my bad habits!) So back on the saddle. Sorry I missed this challenge and I can't believe we only have a few more days before our group ends!! It totally flew by.

good evening ladies,

I have company, my sister came to visit, and brought my Mother as well. So this will be short.

Positive thought for the day: It feels so good to exercise hard. just like the ad says: JUST DO IT!!!

I was a beast this morning on the elliptical and kept my heart rate in the zone for 45 minutes! It felt great.

Congrats on that pound Willa.

I'm so tired this week and I can't seem to shake it. I even got to bed fairly early last night but still woke up rather tired this morning.

Positive thought: I stepped on the scale to survey the damage from the weekend. Up a couple of pounds, so not too bad. Hopefully I can make my way back down to the 159.4 before Friday's weigh in. Considering just how poorly I ate I'm not even that upset with myself. I guess I was active enough to counteract most of it. Ordinarily I'd beat myself up for my indiscretions but today I'm just accepting the consequences of my actions and moving on.

I had belly dancing and rebounding last night. Tonight is power abs and kickboxing. It's only 11:20 - hopefully I can last until 5 or so to get out the door to class without actually falling asleep!

Hey guys!

Sorry I was MIA all weekend. I was SO BUSY cleaning and reorganizing and going shopping and spending time with the boyfriend. I ate like total garbage, I'm dreading hopping on the scale. I'm sure that my awesome 150's number is gone and I'll be doomed to see the 160's again for another week or so. I really let myself get out of control. I need to stop that! All self control just flies right out the window.

The good news is that I was moving a lot this weekend. Up and down stairs, lifting heavy things, going for long walks. I even went roller blading for the first time yesterday. I kept wishing it was ice - I'm so much better at ice skating, and ice skating isn't nearly as scary.

Positive thought for the day - this weekend my boyfriend did something to me I've dreamed about having a boyfriend be able to do. Pick me up and carry me cradled in his arms and twirl me around. It seems silly but I've always wanted someone to do that for me. I felt light as a feather and delicate and feminine. Almost being 5'10 and almost always weighing well over 150 pounds I've never had a boyfriend even close to being able to pick me up. So, I was quite happy that he was able to do that for me.

I can't believe it's almost June and this is our last week of our BSG. Let's make it a good one ladies, we're about to hit summer time!

hello everyone..

i just came home and i had a great weekend and i even went shopping and got a few new things in a smaller size than usual of course which im very excited about
i was suppose to have a doctor appointment but they canceled so now i have some time to exercise today any how my positive thought for the day is just to let go let go of everything bad and unhappy

Positive thought for the day: I made it through the holiday weekend without straying in my food choices. Major accomplishment!! emoticon

We currently are having a huge bug infestation outside, it's like watching the swarm. I don't know if you all have a bug called the May Fly, but it's unbelievable to watch them. There are clouds of bugs in the air. The fly upwards and then do a nose dive over and over again. It's like watching a ballet.

Hello BSG! The June Buddy Support Group sign-ups are posted. It is a sticky note at the top of the “Support, Motivation, and Fun Forum.” Please swing by the post and check it all out. I hope that you choose to sign-up for another month of the BSG, but if you don't, for whatever reason, I just want to say thank you for participating this month. It's been a blast!

Some information you need to know:
** Your current team thread will be closed on May 31. You will no longer be allowed to post on it.
** June BSG will be new teams with new names beginning on June 1 and lasting until June 30.
** In order to get a new team, you must sign-up. You will not automatically be placed on a team.
** I know it is hard to leave the teammates you have grown so close to, but you can keep up with each other through Sparkmail, Sparkpages, and other threads here on the team, like the BSG Reunion: May thread. And who knows, some of you may end up back on the same team with a former teammate again since it is a random placement.

**CHANGES – Through the summer months when we are all so busy, on vacation, and enjoying time outdoors, I have decided to do TWO two-week long challenges instead of weekly challenges. This way there are still challenges, but you don’t have to post as often. We’ll see how this works in June and make adjustments as necessary for July.

positive thought for the day: I went walking early this a.m. and saw my shadow, wow it's changed, I used to grimace when I'd see it, and now it's got a different look. A trim, fit look. I'm changing.

We just got back from singing karoke, I never sing, but tonight I felt like singing. got up there whenever they asked me to, probably didn't sound very good, but hey who cares. I'm growing internally that's all that matters. I would have been too embarrassed before to get in front of a crowd of people. Life is too short to be afraid.

So I know this is 17 minutes late, but close enough.

Night, Night to all.

Kayaking today, was great. EAGLES in front of me diving for fish, just amazing sight.

Just got home. Trying to catch up on home business and tons of laundry. I may have taken my computer, but way too busy to keep up. The grandbaby took to us great, we hadn't seen her since Christmas and most children don't take to strangers, but she took right away. So needless to say I was very busy babysitting and having a wonderful time. Weather was beautiful, but the trip itself took 2 days traveling there and 2 days back. So tomorrow is my catch up time.
Weighed in tonight so that I can start fresh.Didn't lose anything, ate well for the trip, but no time to really exercise. So starting out again at 155, will start going down now.
Will check in again tomorrow and get caught up in reading. Thanks for all your support and goodies this past week. I appreciate them all.

Positive thought: I am hiking with a friend tomorrow! It will be my first time out in the woods this spring and can't wait. I love the outdoors and while I spend a lot of time outdoors running, I love a slow hike in the woods to really see the beauty.

We had a wonderful visit with our surrogate grandchildren today, they grow up so fast.

Positive thought for the day: Enjoy life as it happens, don't let it pass you by.


How does everyone's month of June stack up, how would you feel about a different type of BSG? Maybe a month long BSG, that wouldn't require daily points postings? Or maybe you have an idea. Woo! Go us! I'm such a slacker. This next challenge I'll be rockin, I love working out.

Hehe, the 4's keep me motivated too! They're big 4's but damn if I'm not proud to be in em. I almost wanna cut out the tag and wear it on my forehead.

I'm in the 150's! Finally! 159.4, but I broke the curse! Been stuck in the 160's for the longest time. I'm super hyper and motivated now.

I'm excited, it was very nice out today, and the lake waters are flat, no waves, great kayaking weather. That is my goal for the weekend, to get my kayak out of the storage shed and then paddle my worries and stress away. No phones, no noise, no laundry. Just me and my kayak, might bring my husband with even.

Have a great weekend everyone. I can't believe May is almost over. Still one more challenge for our team, let's give it our all.

Hi All. Totally needed to sign on to get back to reality! I'm at my parents house.. first day of my mom's cooking and I totally went overboard. I think I missed them and just reverted back to really bad habits of eating with my eyes instead of really feeling hungry.
I think I'm going to wake up tmrw am and go for a long walk around the neighborhood to burn off some of these calories.
Any hoot... send good thoughts my way guys.. I have to be really strong here!!

CHALLENGE #4: EXERCISE and POSITIVE THINKING

Hey BSG!!! The current challenge ends tonight at midnight, but we need to look forward to our next week!

Our new challenge begins tomorrow, Friday, May 22 and ends Thursday, May 28 at midnight. Your team sponsor will tell you by what exact time they need the results in order to get them to me by Friday evening.

The focus this week is on exercise and positive thinking!

POSITIVE THINKING: For this part of the challenge, share a positive thought for the day with your team on your thread. It can be anything that you are grateful for, or something that made you smile today, etc. Give yourself 5 points for doing this and a zero if you don’t.

EXERCISE: This will be recorded in this way. If you do at least 30 minutes of cardio, give yourself 5 points. If you do 30 minutes of strength, give yourself 5 points. You can earn a MAXIMUM of 10 points per day.

MAXIMUM number of points that can be earned this week is 105 points!!

Each member must post their OWN results. To post your results, just copy the form below, hit reply, and post the results to YOUR team thread. Team members, please help each other with the posting if there are questions.

Hi Proud Peonies!

I wasn't feeling very good this morning. Feeling swollen & puffy! I must have eaten too much salt yesterday. Wasn't feeling like doing anything but sitting and vegging... but got myself up and took Buddy for a 30 min walk. Feeling so much better! Amazing what a walk will do!

As I posted my status, I don't think my scale drops below 160. I know that the last 5 pounds are hard, but jeez Louise. Seeing 160.0 again made me sadface. Official weigh in is tomorrow...maybe I can flush away some water retention with lots of water today hhehe.

I'm a bit tired today. No idea why. Anyone have something exciting planned for the long weekend? Not I - lots of cleaning and rearranging and such. Maybe I'll sneak in an extra gym day since Monday the gym is closed, grrr.

I have eaten well this week, though my journaling is still sporadic, I've had plenty of water and stayed away from sugar and white flour. This morning I used the Arc Trainer elliptical and did extended kick-butt strength training.

Brooke,I love your heart rate story. I am a big fan of paying attention to heart rate to make sure I'm at the right exertion level. I also remember those first days where it went up almost too fast and high. I still wear a heart rate monitor for my indoor cardio fitness--mostly to keep myself working hard enough. I dont want to pound on my joints without exerting my heart muscle sufficiently too ;)

Time for bed...nighty night.
