To that smoothie you can also add:

decaf coffee - single packets
sugar free syrups (Davinci or Torani)

This is great to know. Gives me a little bit of freedom to create. mwah-ha-ha (that's my evil scientist laugh). I'm going shopping in a few minutes. So excited to see how I can spice things up. I'll definitely try the soymilk idea. Doc says I need to start taking in a bit more soy to offset peri-menopause. Oh, joy!

I still drink coffee. Love it!

The extras are limited to 35 calories and can't be at the same time. I use Silk unsweetened vanilla almond milk. It's 35 calories for 1 cup.

I like Walden Farms Caramel Sauce (0 calories) in my coffee shakes make it with water in the shaker bottle. I keep the water in the fridge at work and just shake the whole thig up once the kids leave and I'm taking a breather.

This sounds really good. I thought I was doing something fantastic when I added a little almond extract to my shake, but this definitely beats that. Lol I'm new to NS and still a little afraid to mess with the foods too much. It's only my first week. I add lots of vegetables, but I haven't doctored up too much. What do the add ins you describe here do to you calorie count, etc.? Protein is 4 cal/gram, so you're getting a few calories there and the almond or soymilk has calories. I haven't done the math, I'm assuming it's minimal? I see you added coffee, was it decaf? The counselors told me to cut coffee out or at least down to half a cup, but she couldn't tell me why. I asked if it was about caffeine, but she really didn't know. So, you guys still drink coffee?

I bet this would be good with iced coffee and some crushed ice for a frappaccino like drink.

As the protein the morning I make a coffee protein smoothie, here's the deal:

* 1 Scoop EAS Chocolate Whey Protein (Sams Club or Body Fortress at Walmart)

* 2 oz of Unsweetened Almond Milk (Substitute regular or soy)

* 1 8oz cup of hot coffee

* Organic Vanilla extract (optional, small amount 1/2 tsp)

Combine all ingredients in a blender, blend for 5 second. Pour, it is Super Foamy like starbucks. Add a lil cinnamon on top for that cafe look! emoticon
