Grammy, the phone widget is just a randon app for my phone that tracks things. It's not a NS thing, I just use it to track days on plan. Mine is called S52 countdown timer or something like that.

I do NOT like the NS app at all! I either simply track using the paper planner they send with the food or I track calories.

@GailRuu,

Do you do the "Daily Dose"? That gives you $10 off every 50 clicks.

Also, Costco sells $100 gift cards for $50 a couple of years, and you don't have to be a member.

Seeing how close you are to the next size down is a great motivator. Also, put on an article of clothing that you wore when you first started your weight loss journey and that will help you see how far you have come!

Emily, do you use the Nutrisystem mobile app?

I started NS and found that I had far too many occasions that interfered with staying on program during that time so I stopped and just tried to count calories as well as I could. Today I am back on the program and will do my best to stay with it. I think I can replicate many of the foods to stretch out my shipment for quite a while. The pancake mix was easy to make and I did have some wheat gluten so I was able to make several packages of that. I was a little disappointed that none were included in my order since that was a favorite of mine when I did NS years ago. I have found a few things that I don't like, but I ate them anyway since I paid so much for them! Most of the foods are okay and some are even quite good, especially the desserts!

Sometimes we all struggle with keeping the momentum going. How do you stay motivated and/or re-motivate yourself?

For me, a count up phone widget helped tremendously when I started. I loved seeing the day count of my 100% on NS go into double digits. Once there, I didn't want to have to reset it at zero. I have another widget for days of exercise for at least 10 minutes. These have helped me do the right thing even when I didn't want to.
