Do you celebrate Passover, Easter, or another spring holiday? Or none of the above?
I celebrate Easter, but I enjoy learning about and participating in the others.
If you celebrate one of the holidays, how will you celebrate this year?
My ex is bringing our son, and I’m cooking leg of lamb for dinner.
What’s one of your favorite spring holiday memories?
Coloring eggs with my son. Due to his disability, Frank couldn’t actually dip the eggs himself, so I put his wheelchair next to the kitchen table and I’d ask him what color each egg should be. I never will forget the year he was on a purple jag!
Do you enjoy casinos or gambling?
Nope, the office football pool is as dangerous as I care to get. I think I work too hard for my money to feed it to a machine that doesn’t even say thank you!
If you won a huge lottery jackpot, what would you do with it?
After quitting my job and paying all my bills, I’d establish a fat life-care trust fund for my son and make some charitable donations. Then it would be off to Ireland, Scotland and New Zealand for my dream trip. Back to Shanagary in County Cork for several months to attend the Ballymaloe Cookery School. Finally, back here to rent a house with a decent kitchen so I could work on my cookbook and my culinary skills.
"...there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo, and it's worth fighting for."
"We're children of a fighting race that never yet has known disgrace." (The Soldiers' Song, Irish national anthem)
"Every day above ground is a good day." (Chef Justin Kennedy of New Orleans, on Chopped)
