Thanks for the goodie, that was mighty nice of you! Now, onto the next challenge....I drank wine tonight for the first time in 3 weeks (a record for me). And am going out of town in the morning with the boyfriend for the holiday. I'm in holiday mode, which for me means splurging to no end.....Good luck to everyone!!!!

Good idea, Ninjalinda. I will keep exercise punishment in mind as Thanksgiving approaches. Bad enough that there will be so much good food around. I'll need to keep my wine calories in check, too.

Wow, yes, that's a LOT of exercise I'll need to do for the Sat night beer...a LOT! Good wake up call!

to Laurie & Robin...I'll be sending you a goodie soon. The rest of us need a little work!
For those of us who didn't meet the challenge I have an assignment for you (us!) Calculate the extra calories you consumed in alcohol (over the 3 allowed Friday & Saturday), and complete exercise IN ADDITION to what you had normally planned - enough to burn those calories! For example, if you had one glass of wine over the allowed amount, you need to burn 125 extra calories this week by some form of exercise.
Time to get walking, or running, or biking...

I stuck to 3 (or maybe even 2) on Sunday, but Friday and Saturday I had a lot more. (5-6?) Both nights I was definitely one of the less drunk people among my friends, but STILL, the calories you can consume with a bunch of beer are frightening! I've been gaining the last few weeks and I only have myself to blame.

Congrats! You all did really well. I was moderate on Thursday, but went over three on Saturday. I abstained last night. I want to behave this week, especially w/Thanksgiving Day food templations on the horizon.

I've managed to not drink at all this weekend! It's been very very hard. It was especially rough last night, as I had to bartend and found myself getting annoyed with someone. Often when that happens I reach for a drink, but I talked myself through it...

this is my 121st AF day! Last night I was the most tempted I've been in a long time, glad I didn't indulge.

That's the way to do it! I was not so successful last night and went over the 3 allowed, but the scale was kind to me this morning...so all is not lost! Hope to have success tonight...

Ohhhh, great challenge! I'm in!
I really want to hang in there and not drink until Thanksgiving! (so far I have not drank since Halloween) But if I do cave this weekend, I would like to stick to one glass, at the most 2, glasses of wine a day...
btw, I forgot to mention in my intro the other day that I am a bartender for a living (yes, being around all the alcohol can sometimes make for a challenging evening if you really don't want to drink)

Man, this weekend is gonna be hard for me. Today I have happy hour, then dinner, then bars and tomorrow I have football, then dinner. Not sure if it's realistic for me to stick to 3 either day, but I'll at least post how I did here so I can stay somewhat accountable.

Hey there everyone, what good is it to work your booty off all week...if you just turn around and blow it each and every weekend? Does this sound like you?!? If it does...come and join me in the weekend challenge!
Now we all know on this team that our 'special' challenge over the weekend is resisting the call of the bottle. Some of us have gotten pretty good about it during the week, but when the weekend comes...all bets are off. And we all know how much damage can be done over the weekend!
Your mission...if you choose to accept it...is to drink alcohol in MODERATION this weekend, if you choose to drink at all. For this weekend challenge, the definition of 'moderation' will be to have 3 drinks OR LESS each day Friday & Saturday. If you want to join this challenge, post your intention here. We will check in Saturday & Sunday mornings to see how we did.
I will give rewards to all who meet the challenge...and there just may be consequences if you DON'T meet...so you'd better behave

On World Vegetarian Day, most people aren't willing to trade in their turkey for tofurkey. Luckily, you can still reap the benefits of vegetarianism by trying flexitarianism on for size.
