I saw this on another list I am on and wanted to share with you. This is curtsey of the Woman on a Mission team and thought it would help with our personal challenges this year. You can copy and paste this into a word document and then edit as you need. (let me know if you need some help).

Hey ladies, I found this pledge in Essence magazine and thought it would be great for us for 2013. Here's the pledge for getting the life you deserve:

This is my year to be the woman I've always wanted to be. This year I will put (LUANN)


first. Starting (3/8), I will foucs on taking the steps to achieve my goals. Ever since (1983) I've known that I wanted to (lose weight). Today, I will creat a plan to realize my dreams. This is my year to achieve four goals.

1._stop eating past 9pm_____________________________________
2._lose 50 to 75 pounds____________________________________
_
3._not give in to my cravings__________________________________
___
4._eat healthy and not binge_____________________________________

Negative factors, real and imagined, will no longer be obstacles to my success. To get over (cravings), I will stop (stop giving in). To get over (binging), I will pray that (The Lord willsatisfy my desires). To get over (shame), I will plan to (be more sociable). I know that I will be successful because it is my dream to (be thinner and healthier).

To stay on track, I will have my friend (Leigh) check in on my progress every week/month/quarter (week) and hold me accountable. This is my personal 2013 pledge to myself so that I can realize my dreams and live the wonder life I fully deserve.

My pledge for 2013 is to lose at least 100 pounds and to begin a walking program that will become a jogging program as I take the weight off. I need to lower my blood pressure and improve my overall health, so drinking enough fluids, watching the salt and avoiding processed foods are a part of my plan.

This is my year to be the woman I've always wanted to be. This year I will put Rosa first. Starting 1st March, I will focus on taking the steps to achieve my goals. Ever since 1972 I've known that I wanted to be healthy and slim. Today, I will creat a plan to realize my dreams. This is my year to achieve four goals.

1.___I will exercise for at least 30 mins each day.
2.___I will eat healthily within my nutrition range
3.___I will drink a minimum of 8 glasses of water each day.
4.___I will get to bed before midnight and aim to get a minimum of 7 hours sleep each night.

Negative factors, real and imagined, will no longer be obstacles to my success. To get over not getting enough sleep, I will stop working on the computer till the early hours of the morning. To get over binging, I will pray that I think of how far I have come and how bad I will feel if I give in. To get over my laziness, I will plan to get to the gym at least twice a week. I know that I will be successful because it is my dream to make myself and my family proud of me for succeeding.

To stay on track, I will have my son, Phil, check in on my progress every week and hold me accountable. This is my personal 2013 pledge to myself so that I can realize my dreams and live the wonderful life I fully deserve.

1. Making myself more accountable for exercise and nutrition by joining Spark Coach program
2. Joined the gym and aim to go there to swim, workout and go to yoga, aqua and zumba classes each week
3. Do 10,000 steps or more a day.
4. Bought a Withings scale which sends my weight to Spark each time I weigh, so no hiding from the results!

i am exercising at least 30 minutes a day,drinking 8 glasses of waterman wearing an air cast so i cant walk right nom scheduled time to be at my weight goal of 150 is in may although I'm doing all i can do to buff up very well as i go want to wear sleeveless tops and shorts without embarrassment i have 10 minutes free i exercise and i makes me feel great

Ever since I can remember I've known that I wanted to lose weight and be healthy. Today, I will create a plan to realize my dreams. This is my year to achieve four goals.

1._Consistently exercise, at least 1000 minutes per month__
2._Track the 8+ glasses of water that I drink each day_
3._Sleep at least 6, preferably 7-9 hours each night_
4._Eat Healthy! Track my food, preferably in my calorie range_

Negative factors, real and imagined, will no longer be obstacles to my success. To get over working too much, I will stop working at 7pm. To get over putting others first, I will consider my needs first. To get over frustration, I will plan to say no more often and organize my time better. I know that I will be successful because it is my dream to play in the ocean with my grandchildren again and walk to Starbucks with my husband.

To stay on track, I will have my friend Shannon check in on my progress every week and hold me accountable. This is my personal 2013 pledge to myself so that I can realize my dreams and live the wonder life I fully deserve.
