Remember that you have walls (even in a cubicle). You can use shelves (with attractive containers for better aesthetics) and organizers specifically made to hang on walls. We frequently underuse vertical space.
Try a drawered plastic storage unit to hold backup office supplies.
Get it off your desk. Keep only essentials on your desk.
Make quicker decisions. Paper clutter is usually the result of indecisiveness.
Use a binder for annual projects such as the office picnic, a conference or the holidays. Add to it each year. Be sure to make notes at the end of each event to improve the next one.
