I have performed three fitness sessions this last Friday of August 2015 - a 43, 11 and a 12 and it gave me over 9,000 steps on my Spark Activity Tracker too.

I got over 9100 steps on my tracker by 7:15 a.m. this true Tuesday morning. That is from three sessions on my stationary bike starting at 5:00 a.m.

Does that count as a fitness event?

In Newburyport on Flag Day, Friday, 14 June 2013 we have the 2ND 1st LT DEREK HINES SOLDIERS ASSISTANCE FUND WALK/RUN EVENT. Sign-up is at the North End Boat Club on Manson Avenue off of Merrimack Street. It is a FIVE-K walk or run.

I participated in this well supported event last June and it was my first 5-K ever. You can check out on line for further information. Just do it for the health of it!

Does anyone here do any fitness events in the area? It would be awesome if we could create a calender of sorts of various activities, from 5Ks and higher to group led hikes or anything in between.
