Check out the thread on the Massachusetts team. Here's some info on the rally that I pulled from one of the posts. You can also contact Mary Ann (MAEMAE10):
Hey everyone, although I lived in Fitchburg for a short while, I never had the opportunity to go to Coggshall Park, but am really looking forward to it. My daughter, who lives in neighboring Lunenburg, said there are picnic tables to use.
To eat or not to eat, THAT is the question.
I love the idea of having a picnic with everyone bringing a healthy dish to share. This gives us the chance to taste foods that we may not otherwise have the opportunity to try. I also think it's a good idea to bring your recipe with you for us to copy so we may try making these dishes at home. This is what we did last year and I thought it was SUPERB!!
As for time, may I suggest meeting at 11:00am, rather than 12 noon, to allow for stragglers (I am STILL working on being on time to events) and to afford us time to meet each other and possibly go for a walk before we break bread together. I feel that if we meet at 12, by the time we really get started, go for a walk then back to eat, it is then 1:30 or 2pm.
Saturday, July 30th, for a date, sounds good to me.
Below are two links, one is information & history of Coggshall Park & the other is history & information about Fitchburg.
I'm also hoping everyone will not just rush off after eating. Think about the cost of gas today.
Let me tell you, if you decide NOT to go, just because, you'll be missing a GREAT opportunity to meet, dine and genuinely have one heck of a good time with your GREATEST supporters.
