i dont plan our meals for the week i cook on the weekends & freeze the food i cook what we want the day of most of the time..

I picked up a few good choices at the store last night and today I will get a couple more things. I"m working this weekend for a friend who took a vacation and that leaves me no time to get much done but work. So I will just have to plan and follow for the next few days.

I went shopping today and bought chicken and fish...I bought my veggies yesterday. For those of you who buy lettuce by head...weigh them! You'll be amazed at the difference in weight. Last week I got a head of iceburg that weighed 3#! Most of the time, they are under 2#. We eat mostly ice burg because DH can't have much of the dark green because he's on Coumadin and there's too much Vitamin K in dark green veggies. Vit K helps clot blood and he needs his thin so it won't clot very well.

I hate the smell and taste of the bagged stuff.

I've already gotten groceries this morning and stuck to healthy choices. I bought two kinds of berries and a big bag of fresh spinach. I'm fixing breakfast for dinner tonight and I have egg substitute and veggies to make a healthy omelet.
Tomorrow I'll be at a large event in birmingham where lunch is provided, so I'll just have to see what that holds.
Planning is key.

A plan is what I need! I don't know how this weekend will go, but I'm going to give it my best shot. I also plan to sit down on Saturday or Sunday, write out my short term goals PLUS my action plan for getting them accomplished. I need something in black and white to remind myself of what I'm needing to do.

I had a bad week - I am going to do my best to spend some time planning ahead this weekend for next week - It won't be easy - since I have Mardi Gras responsibilities this weekend and next weekend!!! Can't seem to find those Lo-cal Moon Pies!!!!

Behold the turtle, he only makes progress when he sticks his neck out.

Baby Steps will get you to the same place as giant leaps as long as you are going in the right direction!!

The weekend is upon us and we must take steps to prepare ourselves for it. So that means to set a plan for the weekend and maybe even the coming week. Head to the grocery store, plan your meals and activities. Remember this journey is all yours so make it one you want to travel. Happy Friday all.
