Although I've broken through my recent plateau, I've decided to resurrect a challenge I have done a few times. It's not easy but I like it. It feels good to me and it gives me something to push myself.
Join in if you'd like. And feel free to 'tweak' it to fit your needs/abilities - this list isn't set in stone. The goal is to push ourselves to train just a little harder for a limited time frame and achieve some perhaps surprising results! So here's the challenge:
This is a challenging ten-day diet plan. It's easier than it sounds, especially if you take it one day at a time - here are the basic guidelines:
- 1200-1300 calories a day (more if your plan calls for more)
- 100 sit-ups/crunches a day
- workout 30+ minutes a day
- no aspartame or other artificial sweeteners
- keep sodium under 2400 mg daily
- no soda (not even diet)
Please note: Eat the appropriate amount of calories - fewer calories is NOT better. Your body is an engine and it needs fuel to run. Your metabolism will simply slow down to conserve what food/nutrition you give it if you restrict calories too severely. Be smart - eat smart.
So who wants to join in?
