I didn't buy the book, but I did leaf through it for a good 10 minutes or so at the store. I found it interesting to see what items are surprisingly much worse than you'd expect. But the "eat this" items still aren't that healthy, and as we're trying to eat more foods prepared at home, I didn't think it was worth the investment for me to buy it.
I'm not usually a fan of the "eat this, not that" articles, because I don't like their suggested alternatives.
However, this article was a good one, because the food items are, for the most part, general (not brand-specific), and therefore their substitutions are general as well and easy to assemble on your own.
This is a good one for people just beginning their whole food journey, or one that you might want to share with friends and relatives...to help challenge their assumptions about healthy foods.
