Mason jars filled with cookie ingredients with recipe card attached. Mason jar is reusable, cookies are yummy. Plants are generally appreciated with my friends/family. I once made up a small book on green uses for household items you probably already have, including soaps, facials, cleaners, etc.
A donation to Oxfam (hmm, I think the donation was for school books to an African village for my brother in law the professor)
Eco-friendly and/or fair trade yarn & knitting tools to my sisters (I've given organically grown/harvested/processed, fair trade tools, color grown cottons, etc. Oh, and, one made from recycled soda bottles)
Locally grown and processed food items
Last year and this year I bought some fair-trade items that my UU church organized/supported (I'm honestly not real sure about the red tape on this one)
