I generally just use them as a structure (recommend calories, protein, etc. per meal). However, when I get bored of different foods, I use follow it; mostly just for breakfast and lunch.

Pros - you don't have to think through a whole lot and you can use the system to make substitutions

Cons - it can be a little boring. It is the same formula with the same choices every day - no casseroles or what not to liven it up. I also wish it had a breakfast for dinner option because my family loves that.

I have used the meal plans. I love them the fact I don't eat cottage cheese so I can sub it for something else. I got lazy to be honest. Between that & not having the time, which I need to make. Maybe that's something I will do this weekend, sit down & use my meal plan to plan the meals for my family instead of me scrambling in the store trying to figure out what we're having.

I never have used the menu plans. I am sort of a picky eater - so frequently I didn't care for the offered food choices OR the alternates to those choices. I did get very good at creating my own healthy meals though. Not sure why I have allowed myself to get so far away from that ability. But the weight gain proves that it happened!

I used to use them as a structure point. Meaning I many not have had what they posted but if you go into the tracker they will have other options along the same lines. Just got away from doing that as I got away from a lot of other things.

I know a lot of us use the food tracker....But how many do, or have in the past, used the meal plans? If you have - what's the best thing about it? And if you tried and don't use them anymore - why didn't you like them?
