I am a sweets addict, but I have stopped eating them. I guess the addiction lives on even if we are supplying it.

I have too many grains, sugars, and artificial sweeteners. I drink too much caffeine too, but if I would quit Diet Coke the caffeine wouldn't be a problem anymore.
