I try to approach weight loss like I approach getting a shot from the doctor. Has to be done, try not to think about it too much, just get it over with, before you know it (hopefully) it will be over.

For big girls or ladies of shorter stature, buy boot cut jeans, they lengthen the look of the leg.

For perfect boiled eggs, heat the water to a rolling boil then take off heat and cover the pan, they will be done to perfection.

Want to look long and lean? Buy a long (to the hips) tank top. I buy the Mossimo at Target, the fabric is soft and they're super long. Add a short shrug type sweater over the top and it creates the appearance of a very long torso!

And more importantly...never,never, and I mean never give up!

I think when you are first starting out on this journey - Joining a Jumpstart Challenge can be just the thing to a) get you motivated b) keep you on track - thus getting you in the healthy habit and c) prove to yourself at the end that you CAN do this!!
That's what I tell people who are just starting out here on SP!!

Behold the turtle, he only makes progress when he sticks his neck out.

Baby Steps will get you to the same place as giant leaps as long as you are going in the right direction!!

Start off your day with a good breakfast. I find this helps me control myself all the rest of the day.

I don't grow my own, although it would be a good idea! I can buy it fresh in little packs at the farmer's market cheaply, so it makes it easy. I just wash it, pull off a few leaves and toss them in the pitcher.

Whether it's learning to live a healthier lifestyle or decluttering the house -- don't try to do too much at once, you will get overwhelmed and the habits won't stick! I have painfully learned this lesson many times over.

In the summer I keep a pitcher of water in the fridge with cucumber and mint in it. Makes drinking it a lot easier! I've also used lime slices and mint.

So today I thought it might be fun if the team shared some of their favorite tips, it doesn't have to be diet related either, it could be about clothes or children or cleaning or how to get your 8 glasses a day, whatever you like.
