Happy Birthday (a day late)!!!! I hope it was a good one. I've purchased several Cuttlebug folders on ebay too, but have never bought anything for the Cricut. For each of the past 3 years, I have made about 275 Christmas cards for the Veterans Hospital in Chillicothe and only make a few for my close family and friends. But also send store-bought ones to lots of other people. I have thought that this year I would not make the cards for the Vets because they do get lots and lots of them at Christmastime and then concentrate my efforts to doing all of my personal cards myself. I haven't decided on that yet. I've also considered trying to do cards for the Vets for the 4th of July in the place of Christmas, but don't think I have time now to do it this year. Thanks for the tips on the paper tearing and I'll look at ebay again to see what I can find there.

Hi Water, my daughter and I share our "carts" so we have about 55. We bought most of them on EBay. We paid about $17.00 on average. I find that I get my pics printed then possibly buy a cart to scrap with. Get a couple of good font ones and be sure to look at each booklet to see what all they do. As far as tearing paper, I find the thicker card stock is a better choice and I use the thinner paper for backgrounds that don't need to be cut. My Cuttlebug is new to me too and I forget I have it too! I'm going to try to make all my Christmas cards this year.

Hey Blondie, I live in central OH--Fairfield County. Do you have many cartridges for your Cricut? It seems like whatever I am wanting it to do for me, I never have anything in my carts to work. I have trouble with it tearing paper too and keeping the mat sticky. I wish the Cuttlebugs had more dies to use. The few I have work pretty well. I keep forgetting to use the embossing folders though. Good for you to be able to get rid of junk. I realllllly need to do that.

Hi Water, I live by the Pa line. I think I will get more done if I don't have to drag it in and out all the time. I'll keep you posted. We brought my Step Father in Law to Ohio from Indiana in May to live with us. Unfortunately, my hubs lost his Mother. She was his care giver. We gave up our bedroom. We moved upstairs. That was my craft room. Now just trying to re-organize the family room. But it's working. I got rid of a lot of junk in the process.

Me too. I have taken my whole 3rd bedroom for crafts and have 2 card tables set up there, but still don't have space to keep the Cricut out. I mostly do cards, but just finished a family tree album for my grandkids of just one branch of the family. What part of Ohio are you from?

I am thankful Water that we have the room for my crafts. I have more than one person needs but I love many other crafts too ( sewing, x-stitching, card making and stamping). You have to have a big room for all those supplies.

Way to go, Blondie!! Good luck on getting it finished. I wish I had enough space to be able to leave my Cricut out all the time.

Well, the Cricut is coming out onto my new cube desk. I have my collection of pics of my "Angel doggie Shai" my Shar-Pei that passed away in 2005, all ready to go. Time to scrap. Just bought the Cuttlebug to help with journaling pretty paper. Yee Haw !
