I know this is a bit off topic, but I'm really freaked out. I'm a professional petsitter and one of my clients left a trip Friday morning. These particular clients like to have every other day visits for their cat, Casey. I don't like EOD visits because I worry about something happening. I went over Saturday and did my usual thing. The next scheduled visit was today. When I arrived this morning the food & litterbox hadn't been touched. I searched the house inside and outside repeatedly before calling my clients niece. She came over and we searched again. We looked in closets, cabinets, under furniture, under the cars in the garage. No sign of him anywhere. I've been watching Casey for the last 10 years and am familiar with his usual hangouts around the house. I went back this evening and spent another hour searching. Nothing. I'm really worried about Casey. This is not normal behavior for him. Casey is a 17 year old seal point Himalyan. His front paws are declawed. He's been an indoor only cat all his life. He's friendly, but may be shy around strangers.
The niece and I agree the chances of Casey being outside are slim. He's not a 'door darter' and has never shown any interest in the outdoors. If he is still inside, then for him to have not eaten or used the litterbox in 3 days...well...afraid to find him & afraid not to. The niece and I both know there's good chance this won't end well.
In the off chance Casey did somehow slip outside, I've posted on twitter, emailed his information & photo to the SPCA and I'm making flyers to post in the neighborhood. If I have to I'll go door to door. I wanted to post here as well in case we have any Sparkers in Caseys neighborhood. Casey lives on Penhurst Way near Country Club off Junction in west Roseville. If anyone is in that area, please keep an eye out for Casey. '
