CASEY'S HOME! CASEY'S HOME! Hallelujah!!! Went by this morning, he was hiding in the bushes on the side of the house. Still wouldn't come to me, but a neighbor and his daughter came over and helped herd him into the entryway of another neighbors house where I was able to get hold of him. Casey is now safe INSIDE! Hallelujah!!! Thank you Jesus and thank you everyone who has been praying for Casey's safe return.

Went to Casey's last night. He was laying near the entrance of the house, but he got spooked and ran into the bushes. Hope to get him back inside tomorrow. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed.

Still no sign of Casey. I'm still searching the house twice a day and walking the neighborhood every evening even though I believe he's probably still in the house somewhere. I just can't think of anywhere I haven't looked inside. Food & litter untouched, bad. No "smell", good. No cat, not good any way you look at it!

A fellow petsitter! Cool! Can you send me your info? I sometimes get calls from people I can't help for one reason or another. Always nice to have someone I can refer them to.

I'm searching the house again and doing a lot of deep breathing for a possible scent. Nothing so far.

My computer is offline and there doesn't seem to be any way to post pictures from my iPhone. Casey being outside is such a slim chance. I'm sure he's inside, which worries me more at this point. I'm just trying to cover all the bases at this point.

I know this is a bit off topic, but I'm really freaked out. I'm a professional petsitter and one of my clients left a trip Friday morning. These particular clients like to have every other day visits for their cat, Casey. I don't like EOD visits because I worry about something happening. I went over Saturday and did my usual thing. The next scheduled visit was today. When I arrived this morning the food & litterbox hadn't been touched. I searched the house inside and outside repeatedly before calling my clients niece. She came over and we searched again. We looked in closets, cabinets, under furniture, under the cars in the garage. No sign of him anywhere. I've been watching Casey for the last 10 years and am familiar with his usual hangouts around the house. I went back this evening and spent another hour searching. Nothing. I'm really worried about Casey. This is not normal behavior for him. Casey is a 17 year old seal point Himalyan. His front paws are declawed. He's been an indoor only cat all his life. He's friendly, but may be shy around strangers.
The niece and I agree the chances of Casey being outside are slim. He's not a 'door darter' and has never shown any interest in the outdoors. If he is still inside, then for him to have not eaten or used the litterbox in 3 days...well...afraid to find him & afraid not to. The niece and I both know there's good chance this won't end well.
In the off chance Casey did somehow slip outside, I've posted on twitter, emailed his information & photo to the SPCA and I'm making flyers to post in the neighborhood. If I have to I'll go door to door. I wanted to post here as well in case we have any Sparkers in Caseys neighborhood. Casey lives on Penhurst Way near Country Club off Junction in west Roseville. If anyone is in that area, please keep an eye out for Casey. '
