I rode my bikes for 4 miles! I love to walk, too, but with the pf, It's not an option right now. The bike riding gets my heart pumping and preserves my feet!

Tonight I'm walking while my daughter has cheer practice. Practice is 2 hours and I walk 45 min. to 1 hour. My feet have really been hurting this week walking. I have to stop and stretch multiple times and my toes start to go numb before I'm done, but hoping that goes away as my body gets used to the walking and start losing weight. I feel great, except for me feet, after and the next morning I'm sore getting out of bed. I need to do more stretching than what I do in the morning. I did get new running shoes, though, so breaking those in, as well.

Bought a rebounder (small trampoline). I'm able to jog on it with my new etonic runners and custom made orthodicts. The rebounder takes the stress away from my foot.
Both Saturday and Sunday i rode my horses for 40 minutes each day. Feels so good to be active again!

saturday, I rode my bike 63 miles! :-) We finished minutes before the rain started. Oddly, the most painful thing I did this weekend was sit in the car 4 hrs. for some reason, the pressure of my heel on the floor when sitting like that is really uncomfortable.

For years I have recorded All My Children and watched it the next morning, fast forwarding through the commercials.

Now I spend that 38 mins on my Eliptical Machine. I don't even notice that I'm exercising (unless my feet act up)

Thanks for the tip.

For target heart rate, here's a link. If you can't copy and paste it, just type "target heart rate how to find" in the search box at the top of the page. That's how I got it.

Yes, mine checks heart rate also. I love my bike. How do you find your target rate. I check it when I first sit down then again as soon as I am through riding. Did you try rubbing your feet with Castor Oil? Try it I know it works that is what helped me.

Yes, the recumbent bike is cardio. Can you check your heart rate on it? Do you know how to find your target heart rate?

I still can't walk much, but can use the elliptical. I don't go long on it, and I switch between that and the recumbent bike.

There's pool exercise, and a good stretch someone told me about, to do in the pool. I only went in once, though. It's great once I'm there, the problem is going - - -

For awhile I was using the arm bike at physical therapy. If you don't have one at your gym, or don't have a gym, there's conducting with your arms. Play some music and pretend you're the orchestra conductor.

Is riding a Recumbent bike considered Cardio? It has two preset riding times: P1 is for 20:00min./3.74mi.
and P2 is for 30:00min. but I haven't gotten that far yet.lol I don't know how far you go on that one but I think it is 5mi.

That sounds like my swimming. I could tread or float all day. I tried deep water running. The water wasn't deep, and I got a swimbelt that held me up off the bottom.

After a week without rowing, they put me back on it, and surprise, no knee pain this time. The physical therapists know their stuff.

I swam today, it was awesome! Believe me when I say my swimming is a bit "free". Real swimmers probably wouldn't recognize any of my strokes. lol That said it still feels great to workout and my arms and shoulders are looking better. Still miss running!!!

I've been going to physical therapy for my neck. There, I've been using the arm bike--like pedaling, but with your hands instead of feet. I was also using the rowing machine, but my knees started hurting, and I've stopped the rowing.

Both of those are cardio exercise, staying off my feet.
In a few weeks you can probably start using your elliptical.

Today I just rode the bike for 10 minutes - and I walked the dogs for about 10 minutes. Unfortuately, I think I'm going to have to just take the dogs to the dogpark for a while instead of walking them.

I'm really interested to know what others do, with FP - Surely swimming and bike aren't the only cardio. I have an elliptical and I'd love to start using that again, but it hurts too much right now.

Make TODAY count!

I did 45 minutes on the treadmill, 25 minutes of strength training, and an additional 20 minutes of cardio on the Elliptical trainer.! I workout 6 days a week.. I alternate days for upper and lower body! I also incorporate core exercises, dividing them between upper and lower body.emoticon

Walk Away the Pounds 1 Mile Get Up and Get Started video. I have to modify a little by walking around my very small livingroom. Seems like coming down on my toes by walking in place makes my foot hurt more than walking normally (well, normally except for much smaller steps!). I will most likely be doing this video for at least another week before I move on to the 2 Mile High Calorie Burn video.

I did Kenpo X this morning then went for my cortisone shot in my heel...never again! It hurts worse now then it has EVER! I thought I was going to jump off the table. The numbing made it feel strange for a few hours but now I think that has worn off!

I saw this topic in another team and thought it would be a good one for us to try too. This might help others get ideas to change their normal routines, so post here daily!

My workout today consisted of walking and climbing up and down stairs.
