So I must admit I really enjoy checking in w/ you almost everyday. It's nice to just have one person to reply to. Sometimes w/ the BSG groups the number of people in the group can be overwhelming. But other times it's just right. And we know each other so that helps :)

After work I have to go to a union meeting to vote on productivity bonus. It's going to be entertaining b/c it's several different departments voting on one bonus package. Drama!

I talked to Ryan during lunch and he is stuffed b/c they had their carry-in today so I'm just going to wait until I get home to worry about dinner. Then I will do Chest/Back from P90X.

No P90X2 yet..I inquired yesterday as to why I hadn't rec'd it and it happens that I put in my credit card expiration date in wrong and so when they tried to process it didn't work. I was like..Andrea you idiot! I watched a bunch of the videos yesterday on utube though and they look awesome! And alot of it has to do with core which is where I need work. So I'm hoping even if I have to modify things I will still see results.

What is your plan for today? Have a great Wednesday!

Well, I haven't been a very good girl after the first week. So far, of actual workouts, I'm 7/14 emoticon . I was on such a roll, and then got possessed/obsessed by my digital scrap program. Although I did all of these DURING the week I worked out...
www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_jo
ur
nal_individual.asp?blog_id=4619477

But then the weekend came and I did do some housework, and some more on Monday, but that's it. I cleaned up my office room and am going to do my workouts in here. Since DH is in the living room with his laptop, I just have always preferred to do my workouts by myself. So now I have enough room and will use my computer. Just wish it had a remote so I could pause it, but I'll just have to resort to using the mouse or NOT pausing it!
Glad you're getting in your workouts and have good goals. I guess no P90X2 yet?

Good morning!

I'm off to a pretty good start this week. I went to the barn last night. I didn't ride b/c I got into a discussion about new management/barn stuff. But that's ok. I was going to exercise when I got home and instead I watched some bender ball videos. I got that ball like last year, did one workout & thought it was kind of weird so it was put away. But now I realize it's to strengthen your back and core. So I might be putting it back into my schedule. Those days where you want something to do but not real tedious. The instructor isn't bad so we will see what I think after a couple workouts. But I think having a strong back would be good since I'm sitting all day.

I did do 6week 6 pack this morning. I can tell I'm getting stronger which I'm excited about!

Tonight I'm going to interval training which I'm excited about.
Wed- Chest/back in morning
Thurs- Insanity in morning
Fri- Shoulders/arms in morning

I'm working on Quarter 1 goals/workouts. I had a spark friend suggest planning quarters and I LOVE it!

Hope everything is going well for you! How many workouts have you done so far?

Glad you had a productive weekend. I did a little housework and that's about it. Do let me know how P90X2 is after you get it, and do some of the workouts, although I can't really afford anymore workouts right now.

Good afternoon!

So far so good this weekend! I went to kick class on Friday night. And I went so hard on the workout I am still sore 2 days later! So I took Baer for 2 walks this weekend. It was cold but sunny so it's doable. And I love walking him.

I had a very productive weekend as far as Christmas shopping. Ryan and I went shopping for his family so they are almost done. He is done except for little thing I might find when I go with mom.

I still have to go grocery shopping tonight (oh what fun...lol) but I made lasagna for dinner and will have WATER. I feel dehydrated. I always feel it in my lips first. Hopefully I can do a more serious workout tomorrow and won't be so sore. I was just like oh my gosh but I got out all of my work frustrations!

Oh..and about P90X2...what I've heard is there is a certain person that modifies everything that he does which will be nice. Because yeah..I can't do pushups on balls yet! I will definitely let you know more details when I get the darn thing which should be soon! I keep checking my email!

I hope you had a good weekend and we will MAKE it a good week :)

I saw your blog on P90X2. The moves look really intense.
What if one can't do a lot of the jumping, or push-ups on toes? I assume it's okay to do alternative moves?
I did get my workout in yesterday, but didn't sleep well last night so missed today. I can't let this missing 2 days this month be a pattern, as I started off so well the first six days.

Good morning!

Well I pre-ordered P90X2 so when it gets to me and I have a change to look it over then I will definitely let you know what I think!

I like CLX but the lifting slow/heavy part is a challenge for me. I am often times done before they get done which I know is bad. It's an attention span/focus thing. I do believe you are capable of great results w/ that program, I like most of the moves, I like Chalean and I LOVE that you can get it done in usually less than 45 minutes. That makes it the perfect before work strength program.

I was looking at P90X2 and almost all of the workouts are close to an hour and I'm like..oh my goodness! He needs to come out w/ an express P90X. But X2 is only 5 days a week. So I could do Sat/Sun/Mon/Wed/Fri. We will see what happens!

Weekend plan is to stay on track the best I can. I always seem to get off track on the weekends. I will DRINK MY WATER! I WILL EXERCISE!! Weekends aren't just about sitting around on the couch, although that is really nice. I want to especially stay on track this weekend so I can just continue into next week.

Plan Fri-Sun....
Friday- kick class after work
Saturday- six week six pack and horse ride
Sunday- Pure Cardio and horse ride

I hope you have a great Friday!

Andrea M.

Reason I asked is I have P90 but need to find it (packed it up) and I remember he did "bursts" in one section. However, I do get bored with CLX fairly quickly so I might see now that P90X2 is out, maybe they'll reduce the price of P90X. OR once I finish this month, dust of P90 and give that a try. All I know is that when I do CLX seriously, and lift as heavy as I can, the body fat starts dropping like crazy...when I stick with it. And if the lifts are quick, about the most I can lift is 3-5lbs, whereas if they're slow I can do 10-15lbs (when I'm in better shape) for upper body.

The spreadsheet idea is nice! I made a chart to mark my early morning workouts. I put an X if I complete them and a :( face if I don't..lol.

P90X- It's a little more fast paced then CLX. But they give you a time limit for each exercise so say you get 1 minute to do shoulder presses. He stresses in the video that you are either in the 8-10 range or the 12-15 range. He wants you to pick a big enough weight so the last 2-3 burn. And of course there are no "extreme" sets like w/ CLX. But you have more moves that you do.

I really like the workouts and if you need to break a plateau or lose a quick 5 lbs those workouts will do that for you!

And like right now I'm doing strength from P90X, 1 workout of insanity/turbofire, Jillian Michaels yoga and six week six pack each week. (Or I'm supposed to be when life is "normal" and I'm not freaking out). I did TF Sunday and Shoulders/Arms from P90X on Monday and then nothing..haha. But I'm going to play catch up with a couple couple days of 2 workouts!

I hope this helps. If you have a library you might see if they have a copy to rent and try out!

I'm sorry for the work stress. I had the same thing happen to me at a job I'd been at for 21 years. New management came in and changed everything. Same thing happened there. 1 minute late and one got written up. I should have been next in line to be the Office Manager, but it didn't work out that way. I was bull-headed and ended up getting fired. I hope you can find a way to get through it, and I hope things work out well for your horse.

emoticon about P90X...on the ST portion is it slow/heavy lifting like with CLX or more bursts like in the intervals?

I hope you can get some exercise in and it will help relieve your stress. If you do end up getting an anti-depressant just be aware that they're not easy to get off of.

Yep, I think I've finally gotten back into the groove. I'm using a spreadsheet that I use to use where I track my calories and cardio. Having that to look at every day makes me not to want to have any ZEROS in the cardio portion.

Good morning!

Well last night I slept for 11 hours after work. I think that recharged my batteries so to speak and I have a new outlook on my work issues. Even though it is bullcrap I can't control what they do. So I just need to be the best me I can be and I need to do this by eating right and exercising. I'm not going to let them bring me down, I'm going to rise above all the nonsense!

I'm going to the barn tonight. I haven't been there in a while. Been kind of avoiding it b/c of the new management issues. I never knew there could be so much drama surrounding a barn!

I hope you are doing well. I saw that you are like 6/6 on your workouts which is awesome. I have only done 80 minutes so far this month so I need to get my butt in gear!

Have a great day!

Andrea M.

Hello!

Well this weekend was interesting. I'm just under so much stress between work and the barn situation with another manager change. My horse is like my baby and I need to know he is going to be taken care of and I don't have to hunt for a new barn in the middle of winter!

Work has just been insane. Mangement is out of control..they took us all in for a "consultation" where if we are late back from any break, lunch or in the morning for 1 minute in the next 60 days we are going to be written up again. I think this is ridiculous so I'm currently staging a boycott for the Christmas carry-in next week. I don't think we should just roll over and play dead like we always do. So I'm going somewhere to eat and won't be taking part in any social activities with management.

I might need to look into a low dose of anti depressent just to even me out b/c I was crying this morning before I came in here and I have a knot in my stomach. It just isn't a healthy work environment. Our jobs are hard enough dealing w/ people..management should be helping us to do our job better..ya know? I just hope I can get through all of this ok.

I hadn't exercised for 5 days but then I had my massage and got rid of my migraine (thank God). Sunday I didn't really feel like exercising but I recognized that I *needed* to so I got up and did Turbofire30. I really did feel better after. I even got up yesterday morning but then b/c of what happened at work I'm afraid I'm off the wagon again.

I hope you are doing well and my ramblings don't bother you. I'm just kind of overwhelmed b/c it's like everything happened all at once!

I really think you could do P90X. The strength parts really aren't any harder than Chalean Extreme..the workouts are longer but he has a longer warmup (about 10 minutes) and cooldown (about 5 minutes). I always see good results even if I just do the strength part of it.

I'm going to keep smiling! And I'm so thankful for spark and my sparkies!

That is totally unlike you, but I couldn't exercise if I had a migraine. Maybe someday I'll get strong enough to do P90X.

The weather is cold and dreary today through the weekend, so we got all our shopping done yesterday and will be spending the weekend watching movies.

We did go see Breaking Dawn. I liked it, but not as much as the first three. I'm so glad they didn't end it with a cliff hanger before the baby was born or before Bella woke up. That would have really made me mad. And I don't see what the big deal is about the birthing scene causing people in the audience to get sick. I didn't think it was that bad.

Hello! I can't believe it's time for another weekend. But I'm happy for it!

This week I was kind of bad w/ eating and I haven't exercised since Monday..which you know is weird for me. Tues/Wed I went home from work with a migraine and just slept. And I think that just put me so out of sorts I kind of gave up on the rest of the week.

I have restored motivation though. I found a buddy to do P90X2 with me but she just is on day8 of p90x so I'm going to start my own round of p90x w/ some insanity, turbofire and jillian michaels in the mix and then I will just be a week behind her and then we are starting p90x2 which won't be until like March but that's ok. I'm excited b/c I have a little bit of everything. I subbed Insanity for plyometrics, I subbed turbofire for Kenpo, I threw in sixweeksixpack since it's a good workout and will do Jillian yoga instead of 1.5 hours like p90x. Who has time for 1.5 hours of yoga in the morning? lol

And I'm using push circuit and lean circuit for recovery weeks. I think it will be fun!

Not sure what this weekend is going to bring. I'm planning on riding my horse Sat and Sun and maybe doing some turbofire tonight.

What is your weekend plan?

I think this challenge is over, but we can still visit if you want.
This month is my month to get 100% back on track. Yesterday I did TJ PKJ and Ab Jam, and then put lights up outside. I did PKJ with the gloves and non-stop.
Today is going to be TJ Sculpt and CE Ab Burner.

Hello!

Sorry I've been kind of MIA. I've been enjoying my 5 days off from work! I have pretty much stayed on track. Here were my workouts:

Thursday- step class before Thanksgiving at Grandma's
Friday- BC2 and horse ride
Saturday- dog walk and 6wk6pk
Sunday- horse ride

I would say I did pretty good! I have all the workouts I want to accomplish before the end of the year on a board. 12 insanity workouts, 6w6p 10x and then 1 week of Push and Lean. Shouldn't be to hard but once you stop insanity it's hard to start again! I keep giving myself reasons not to do the workouts!

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving weekend and I will check back in tomorrow. I had better head to bed soon. Even though I have tomorrow off I'm trying to get back into my normal going to bed/getting up schedule otherwise Tuesday will be killer!

I think that's why we prefer to watch movies at home. we can pause, rewind or rewatch.

Did some walking yesterday, and not sure for today other than I'll probably start assembling my Christmas tree.

I hope Ryan's grandma gets over her cold soon.

Hey! Well I just wanted to make sure I wished you a Happy Thanksgiving..quiet can be good! Today I didn't do morning exercise..I didn't really sleep in either I was just sore so decided to take the morning off. I will probably do BC2 tonight when I get home from the barn. If I don't barn I will definitely do BC2.

Tomorrow is early step

Friday will be BC3

I think Sat/Sun will be insanity and Monday will be BC1.

I don't think we are going to Kokomo b/c Ryan's grandma is sick w/ a cold or something. So my Thanksgiving will be quite simple which I'm ok with.

Breaking dawn was...interesting. I really want to see it again to form my official opinion. There were parts in there I didn't remember and then a co-worker reminded me so I think it would make more sense.

Have a great Wednesday!

I meant to ask you how was "Breaking Dawn"?
So far, as has been the first weeks of the month, I worked out yesterday and today doing yoga, and I can certainly tell that my strength and stamina isn't up to par so I'm going to stick with it for a while.
We'll be having a quiet Thanksgiving.

I did decided it's time for me to get over my "pity-party" and get on with my life. I'm going to start working out everyday. I'm not going to do a particular program, just do something every day. And start out slow like maybe with yoga to get my flexibility and strength back. Since it takes about 3 weeks to make it a habit, if I can do something everyday for that long then hopefully I'll be ready to start a full program.
Not only does it help relieve the soreness I get from NOT working out, when I was working out on a regular basis I not only felt younger, I looked younger.

Hello!

Had a great weekend exercise wise and pretty good eating wise. I'm excited for my 3 day week and 5 day weekend. I don't have a definite plan for Thanksgiving yet..should be interesting trying to do 2 Thanksgivings. I know I'm going to my parents on Thursday early around noon and then we will probably drive to Ryan's grandma's for dinner and spend the night until Friday.

Here is my "plan" for the week.

Monday- BC1 in morning (done) and riding lesson at 7pm (done)

Tuesday- Jillian Michaels 6w6p in morning (done) and interval training at 5:30

Wednesday- BC2 in morning and barn at night (or maybe kick at 6:30)

And then things get a little complicated b/c of the holiday..

Thursday- Step at 8:15 (nothing like early exercise to put you on track for Thanksgiving)

Friday- It really depends on where we are. If we are still in kokomo then I can't really do anything. There is no where in the house to exercise..she had alot of breakables and stuff. If we are home then I will do BC3 and maybe barn and/or kick.

Saturday- I believe we should be home by this time so BC3 if I didn't get to on Friday and if I did then Insanity. Still have to finish 2 weeks of that by the end of the year :)

Sunday- More Insanity!

I hope you had a good weekend!

Yes that is exactly where it was! Luckily it's feeling alot better today. So I think even though I wasn't real happy about it, taking some days off are good. Because you just never know what might "tweek" it and make it worse.

So I didn't get to go to step last night. I stayed late at work b/c we had calls and several people off. That was kind of the stipulation for giving me 8-5 hrs. If we have calls then I have to stay until they are down. Ryan and I went on a "date night" sorta..we went to dinner and then went to the red box at wal-mart but they didn't have the movie he wanted. So he bought "Hanna" and I bought "crazy stupid love." We watched Hanna but it was really pretty weird.

Not sure what plan for tonight is. I'm going to see Breaking Dawn at 8pm. Sooo I don't know if I can fit in kick class, make dinner and be early enough to get good seats. But bag is packed still since I didn't go to step. I might have to work late again though so who knows!

However! Tomorrow I'm meeting my friend Donna at Spiece b/c she is thinking about joining. She wants to get healthier also but only has a treadmill at her house. My gym would be on the way home and now we have about the same hours so we could go to classes together! I'm pretty excited about that.

I'm glad today is Friday. Have a great day!

I've gotten that pain before, right inside my right shoulder blade. Not sure if that's the scapula but sounds like it. Hope it gets better.
I wouldn't want to get up either with warm puppies in bed with me!

Good morning!

I went to the barn last night but ended up talking to my "barn buds" for a while and didn't get home until around 10 so I took a shower and went to bed...no workout.

Monday when I did P90X chest/back I must have done something to my shoulder. It's not actually my shoulder joint..it's like towards my scapula where it hurts. I'm not exactly sure what I did. I've done chest/back a bunch of times and never had that issue. I think maybe I'm going to do supreme 90 chest/back next week..it's still a good workout but not as many pushups.

Plan for 11/17/11..I lost my "spark" to get up in the morning. My bed is just to warm and my puppy is laying right beside me. I will work on getting it back, but I also want to let my shoulder heal completely. I am going to go to step tonight. My bag is already packed. I think some good cardio will do me good!

Have a great Thursday and I'm thankful tomorrow is Friday!

Good job keeping up with your workouts! That is really awesome.

Plan for 11/16/11- I didn't get up this morning b/c my shoulder was still hurting. Now it is feeling better so plan on going to barn tonight & then coming home and doing Insanity Pure Cardio!

Eating has been pretty much on track. I went to a mexican restraunt today for lunch and only got 1 taco w/ beans/rice compared to the burrito w/ all rice. That was kind of my own personal achievement. I can't be afraid to go to certain places..I just have to trust myself to make good decisions!

Well, I basically blew the rest of the days, but did workout today, so here's mine from the last few days.

DAY 4 (Thursday): 11/10
WORKOUT: NOTHING
NUTRITION: Good!
WATER: 90 oz
-----------------------------
DAY 5 (Friday): 11/11
WORKOUT: NOTHING
NUTRITION: ok
WATER: 90 oz
-----------------------------
DAY 6 (Saturday):11/12
WORKOUT: Couch Potato!
NUTRITION: BAD! Broke down and bought ice cream
WATER: 90 oz
-----------------------------
DAY 7 (Sunday): 11/13
WORKOUT: Couch Potato!
NUTRITION: Ice cream is almost gone, and I'm the only one who ate it
WATER: 90 oz
-----------------------------
DAY 8 (Monday): 11/14
WORKOUT: TJ--Punch Kick Jam (50min)
NUTRITION: Plan on being good
WATER: 90 oz

I'm glad you were able to rearrange your bedroom so you can do your workouts in there. I could do mine in the cat room, and use my other computer, but we have wood floors. And in that room, it happens to be over the basement/cellar, so he's afraid it will be too much movement for the floors to handle, so I'm stuck doing them in the living room. Although I could do them in my office if I fold up the Total Gym, which I set up because DH was suppose to start using it but hasn't. So I'll just stick with the living room unless I do strickly weight stuff, then I could do that in here which is where my weights are.

Glad you had a good time at the family Thanksgiving!

I was a LAZY COUCH POTATO this weekend, and broke down and bought ice cream, and now most of it is gone.

BUT...I did do TJ this morning and it felt good!

I posted a blog w/ my schedule for the rest of the month. He does have a tv in his bedroom and I have one in mine. Which just adds to the frustration b/c how hard is it to take your bowl of cereal and go sit on your bed? But I took it upon myself and found a solution. I moved my bed so I have about 2 more feet in my room. I wasn't really utilitzing the space properly. So now I have my weights and everything in my room. I'm actually alot happier. He's alot happier b/c weights are out of the living room and it does look better but it was my only option. So that problem is solved..yay!

I had fun at the family Thanksgiving. I was kind of nervous b/c I didn't know what to expect. It was his stepmom's family but they were just awesome! And there were alot of people there my age so that was nice.

How was your weekend?

Hello!

I went to interval training last night. That is an awesome class w/ a kick butt instructor! It's a long segment of step and then she does some weights and then more step and then at the end you do 3-1 minute "interval" segments. I was wooped!

I attempted to do cardio recovery this morning but Ryan flipped it to the news so I proceeded to sit on the couch and pout. Which seems really stupid but that is the only thing he "gets." And then when I don't answer the phone he knows I'm really mad and fixes the unacceptable behavior. Oh the trials and tribulations of being in a relationship! You would think 2 people could share 1 tv. But my whole "thing" is he gets the tv from when he gets home around 3:30 to when he goes to bed so I can never have the living room to workout. So I think if I want it for 30-40 minutes in the morning I should be able to have it peacefully w/o him harassing me by being obnoxious. If he wants to watch the news he can go in his room. Ugh!

Sorry for the rant..it just makes me mad. I'm trying to be healthy and happy at the start of my day and he drives me crazy!

Here are my stats for the day:

DAY 3 (DATE): 11/9
WORKOUT: stretching (10 minutes in morning)
NUTRITION: Awesome!
WATER:

Tonight I'm going to the barn for a horse ride. Tomorrow is last day b/c we have Friday off..yay!
