Waytogo Anne! That's great control and I'm glad to hear you're listening to your body!! It plays much nicer when we don't ask more of it than it's ready or able to give!!

I've had a good day too. I was in a funk earlier in the day but convinced myself to get out & run & was so glad I did. I have a half marathon coming up & took a few days off training due to an injury that has now healed. It was 58 deg outside today & partly sunny; so few nice days I knew I should take advantage.

We had to return to the auto dealer to sign some papers they had messed up so grabbed a bite while out, I love the Sparkppl Iphone App, could see that if I ate just half of their California Shrimp Salad & only a little of the dressing, I'd still be in range. The salad's huge anyway so now I have a side salad for lunch tomorrow :) WOO HOO!

And yeah; a good thing they're combining teams! We'd have made a "dynamic duo" though and would have given the other teams a run for their money! LOL

You're doing great!! Keep it up & we'll both be ready for summer!!!

Yay! I am excited about the team consolidation. I was worried about our team winning when only the two of us are keeping track.

So, I woke up REALLY sore today and decided to take a rest day. I've been pushing pretty hard in my workouts and my body is telling me about it. I stayed just within my calorie range. Since today was Fat Tuesday, my boss had a food day at work. I had a tiny sliver of chocolate cake and one choco chip cookie. I think I did well but I so wanted a piece of blackberry pie!!!

We’ve gone from 59 members to 47, and some teams have very little activity. We’ll have five teams; three will have 9 members and 2 will have 10 members. There are still some members that are questionable as they don’t have a challenge template up but have posted a few times in the chat rooms, so I will go ahead and place them on a team. You will still be with your current team members; you’ll just be combined with another team. Depending on how it works out, you might have a new team name. If so, all you’ll have to do is copy your original challenge template, go to your new team challenge post, reply and paste in your original challenge template. I plan on doing this first thing in the morning, and will send out a spark mail to all of the members of each team.

I hope that you are enjoying this challenge and making new friends, as well as giving and receiving the support and motivation that this challenge is based on. Even if it’s just telling someone what’s going on in your life, it’s nice knowing that others care and respond to your posts.

Good Morning, Deej! Sounds like you had a good day yesterday with the exception of hanging around a car dealership. Car shopping is fun when you're looking and driving the cars but everything else sucks.

Yesterday was a good day for me. I stayed within my calories but was close to my max. I was going to take a rest day but decided to do Push Circuit 3 instead. I'll get some heart pumping cardio in today!

I didn't log my food until tonight & came so close to going over! I probably would have but we were at a car dealership most of the day & I had little opportunity to eat LOL but when I did, I made up for it. Chose healthy except for a little spinach/artichoke dip but stayed in control for the most part :)

I did Yoga tonight when I got home; just finished. I'm so tired I wasn't quite up for it but determined to get it in.

I'm trying to end the week as strong as I started it; I know my streak won't last forever LOL taking advantage while I can!!

Okay, I did a LOT better today. I stayed well within my calories and did the 20 minute HIIT workout of TurboFire plus the 10 minute stretch.

Deej, THANK YOU for the encouragement!! The team effort is great and it keeps me accountable. I WILL do better next weekend. With your help, and hopefully the help of our teammates, I'll start seeing some results.

Happy Sunday, Deej! I haven't done my workout yet today but plan to later this evening. The diet is going okay. I went over my calories again yesterday but, on the bright side, I did better this weekend than I usually do. I like to think that I'm weaning mysef down from the crappy weekends I normally have. LOL.

Hi again :)

Ruby Tuesday's is another reasonable restaurant choice (as far as healthy goes). Had their Creole Fish tonight with sides of creamy cauliflower & grilled zucchini & total cals were 481. Very filling :)

Sounds great Anne! I'm a firm believer that if we eat healthy most of the time & continue to MOVE our bods, the occasional "less than healthy" choices we make will not derail us!! We have to be able to live life, ya know!! Health & wellness involves being emotionally & mentally happy too and there's something to be said about finding a healthy balance in all things :)

Thank you for your comments :) much appreciated but trust me, I'm not perfect. I am a Lifestyle & Weight Mgmt Coach & a trainer so I try to practice what I preach but I slip up at times too. And at this age; the bod's not so forgiving :)

WOO HOO for you workin' out girl!! Keep that up & keep moving forward.... we're gonna do well with this one!! GO TEAM!!!

I started the day with pancakes made from soy flour; looked pretty good (new recipe) so thought I'd give it a try to satisfy my pancake craving :) a lot of protein! Very tasty! Unfortunately too much fat for my liking; gonna tweak it. And I ran 3.5 miles, did something to my right leg last week during a run & feared I messed it up. Today was a test run & it went well. No pain :) excited about that. I hope to work in some of my CLX DVDs this week for cross training.

Keep up the good work :) let's make a great showing!!! :)

Deej, I love Panera. Everything there is so yummy! It sounds like you have great self-control and motivation. I wish I had an ounce of your will-power.

Okay, so last night I had a few beers and some pizza but not too much, though. I did go over my calories but not as much as I feared.

Today has gone well, so far. My body is pretty sore so I just did the TJ 20-minute and CLX Recharge.

I'm continuing to have a good challenge; so far, so good. Food was good today; I had an early Doc appt then we went car shopping for our son & ate at Panera. Had the veggie soup & half tuna on whole grain. I know what ya mean about keeping the alcohol controlled. I rarely have more than a glass of wine & an occasional beer but won't have it often with this challenge. I'm trying to keep my focus on where I want to be by June :) let's just watch our portions!!

Have a great night & a good weekend! Those can be a challenge but sounds like you have the perfect mind set!!

So far, so good today. I didn't sleep well last night so I got up super early to do my workout. I did CLX Push 1 and TJ Cardio Party Remix. The tough part is coming, though, as the hubby and I are going to our marina where they're opening the bar for the season. I love, love, love beer and it's going to be hard not to have too many.

Hi Janine, Welcome to the team!! Deej, Sounds like you had a great day with your son!

You're right, life is busy and sometimes it's sooo hard to find the motivation to work out. After a long day at work, I find that I'm so mentally tired that when I get home all that I want to do is take a nap. Sometimes, that nap is exactly what I need. Afterwards, I have the extra energy for my workout. Tonight was a TurboFire HIIT (I'm doing my own hybrid of CLX and TF) and a little bit of abs (probably not enough to count, though).

I stayed within my calorie range today but didn't have enough fruits and veggies. I WILL do better tomorrow as I have a lot of veggies in the fridge that need to be eaten. The weekend is coming, though, and that's the hardest time for me. I never track my food over the weekends but that's changing with this challenge. :)

I have the day off from work tomorrow so I'm going to have extra time for my workout. Tomorrow is CLX Push but I'll try to get in some cardio, as well. I'll stop rambling now. I hope everyone else had a good day and wish you all a GREAT day tomorrow.

Will do Susan! Hi everyone :) hope you've had a good day and are getting a good kickstart to the program. If not, don't give up. Life's busy & we all have days that are tougher than others!! We can do anything we set our mind to :) I keep reminding myself of that!!

Had a good day; walked all over a college campus & around town. Had a fabulous fresh salad for lunch loaded with veggies & some chicken; skipped the white roll. Supposedly everything was fresh from local "growers" :) deslish!

Now I'm making myself hungry so going to warm leftovers from last night. :) have a fab night everyone!!! Check in when ya can!! Look forward to hearing from you!!

Hello my name is Janine. I am married with 2 kids, one of each. They drive me crazy, but I wouldn't trade them for the world. I am a on again, off again workout person. I have gained way too much weight, but want to lose it the healthy way. I am having a bootcamp challenge at work and it started today, but it is only 8 weeks. I plan to win this competition at work, so I am really going to try and stay focused. I usually quit a challenge after a period of time, because I lose focus. SO this time I am hoping to maintain focus and finish this journey before I turn 35 in November.
I am sickly, but if I eat right and exercise I tend to be fine. So with my daily check-ins I should do fine. I am looking forward to making this a lifetime change.

Hi Anne, hope you and the rest of our team members are off to a great start!!!!

So far so good this morning :) I actually started my "refocus" on Monday. I facilitate a weight management program at my local Y and while I encourage members to record their food intake any time they need to gain control, I find it hard to do this myself & typically don't record until I'm 5 lbs over what I consider to be my goal weight. I've been tracking faithfully since Monday & hope to be able to keep this part of my commitment to me.

About me: Feel free to read my SPage for more details but to summarize me, I'm married with 4 children, my oldest is married & has two ADORABLE lil' boys who rock my world. I've been running consistently since 2007 & have a number of races planned for 2011; most of them with other Spark runners. I work part-time from home for a local Attorney and also part-time for the YMCA. I've been a member of Sparkpeople since March of 2006, about to celebrate a Sparkaversary :) I completed P90X last winter to build my strength base & break a plateau, it worked wonderfully! However, I'm up a cpl inches in both my bust & waist and 1 inch in my hips. I have the CLX DVDs and use them occasionally for cross-training for strength.

I look forward to chatting with all of you and rocking out this challenge together!!!!

Depending on who actually ends up participating (sometimes people sign up with the best of intentions, and then end up not participating, or have to leave, or can’t participate for a few days or a week which is perfectly acceptable), the total monthly points will be averaged by the number of participants in each team. Right now we have nine teams with 6 buddies, and one team with 5 buddies.

The first 4-week challenge (TEAM NAME: GET LEAN WKS 1-4 CHALLENGE) starts on Wednesday, March 2. Below is the link to your first 4-Week Challenge (Wed., March 2 through Tuesday, March 29). NOTE: Do WHAT you can WHEN you can.

Each month, you’ll total your monthly points by 1:00PM CENTRAL STANDARD TIME the day after the end of each challenge (WEDNESDAY). Sometime that afternoon, I will go in and log your monthly points. I’ll make a post in the “ChaLEAN EXTREME CHALLENGES forum” (see link below), announcing that the next challenge has been posted. Since you know your team name, the challenges will be named “TEAM NAME: GET LEAN WKS #-# CHALLENGE”, so you’ll have to look through the link below to find the next challenge. I suggest that you add each current challenge as a favorite, as well as your CHAT ROOM.
