I'm bummed to but am glad I got to meet you all. We need to make sure we keep in touch and keep each other going. I will still be doing my personal CLX/Turbo Fire hybrid challenge starting Monday for 9 weeks. So wish me luck on that! And good luck to all of you!

I am bummed that this challenge is cancelled. I understand why though. I have to day that I have met some really great people on here and I am still here to encourage you all. I just sent out this e-mail to my team. Come join me in some challenges if you need the extra motivation. "Team Wiscy Rock" it's on my sparkpage.

"I just posted four challenges for April if anyone is interested.

The first challenge is a calories burned challenge were you pick the amount of calories you'd like to burn in a week and then see if you can meet your goals. It starts April 3rd and runs 4 weeks.

The second is a calorie range challenge. It's all about tracking calories and staying in range (something I find vital to weight loss success). It starts on April 1st and lasts all month.

The third is a virtual race for all of you walkers. It starts on April 3rd. It's in England, I like the funny town names there.

The fourth is a two week Fruit and veggie challenge. It starts on the 3rd as well. It isn't a sticky topic, so it's the fourth topic in the challenges forum.

I also plan on posting walks when it gets a bit warmer. I hate the cold. If there are certain days or places you'd like to walk let me know. Anybody can post a walk in the get together forum.

A little sad and relieved that the challegne was cancelled. Sad because it really was helpng me with motivation, but glad because I was not able to do the CE workouts anyway.

Congrats to Aaron and Annette for being tops in points!!!!! emoticon

I just stummbled on a post in the challenges that says this challenge has been canceled!!! I was just getting geared up. BUMMER! I'm going to start some challenges on my team "Team Wiscy Rock". It's a local team, but I don't see why you guys can't join if you want. My niece is on the team and she lives in New Jersey.
The team has no activity on it right now. My step father just passed away in October. I had to help my mother through that and her skin cancer. So, I'm going to try to kick start the team again with four challenges.
1. calories burned : each person picks a individual goal to reach each week.
2. tracking and staying in calorie range
3. eating veggies
4. a virtual walk for those that use pedometers.

I will still see you on my friend feed for sure. Thanks guys for all the motivation!

Good morning all!
I had an ok day. Worked out my lower body hard with my PT yesterday. But surprisingly I am not as sore as I thought I would be so I guess that is a good thing. All cardio today. I gotta burn some calories!

@Annette...good job on your shakeology challenge. Keep it up! And speaking of the Wii...I played the Micheal Jackson experience with my son Monday night and it was sooo fun. I ended up dancing for about 45 minutes. I couldn't stop. LOL

@Cassandra...good for you on the HIIT videos. Those really kick my butt but I love them too.

Today was an okay day for me. I stayed within my calorie range and did the we fit. Thank god tomorrow is my running day, I don't feel like I did enough today. Three days down in my shakeology challenge.

@ everyone. thank you all for a wonderful first 4 weeks were i have felt totally supported. I have to say I am ready to move on to the next four though, so I can start over and be more consistent.

Hey all! I've had such a busy day and I'm STILL bursting with energy. Turbo Fire HIIT workouts always keep me going all day, I love it! I, too have been feeling super hungry today, but that usually happens when I do the HIIT workouts.
@Aaron- What kind of exercise are you doing? When I get like that, I make sure to always have fruits quickly available, it really helps keep me on track emoticon

I am having a bit of an off day today. I worked out this morning and felt good after that. The problem is that I am hungry. I am so hungry my stomach hurts. I have eaten well or so I think and have gone over in calories today. I am really bummed because I am trying to figure out where I am going wrong today. I even drank a ton of water because I read that sometimes we mistake thirst for hunger. It's not working! UGH! Tomorrow is a new day.

Hi all. Feeling a little blargh-y today. I'm a bit sore from the last two days of intense exercise and I'm having cravings. This always happens when I drop weight quicker than normal. I'm not sure if it's anxiety or my body screaming for more food. I just want to mope around and say "BLARGH" all day.
@Brittany- I may have to join you for that bedtime drink!

Great workout in Zumba yesterday. I wasn't too hard. And I was able to make it back to work in time. So I will really be adding that into my weekly routine.

@Brittany...the same for my gym! That is why I was sooo excited that they have a noon class. It is only one day a week but I guess they are testing it out to see how it does. Good luck making it thru your last day!

checking in from work here. Its night 5 of 6. I am almost there!!! I did get a couple of laps in last night. Mostly just to stay awake.

I slept really well today. I owe my quality of sleep to a Bellini. What's worse a drink to wind down or a sleeping pill? I have some Ambien but I hate them and I always have a hang over. I have some melatonin. I may try to use it again. It was effective when I first started using it, but then seemed to quit working. Sleep quality really affects everything.

Sunshine- its great that your gym has a noon class. I wish my gym offered more classes. They seem to be at 9:30 10 am (too late for me to stay up for) or at 6 pm and then I have to be at work by 7.

HI ladies! Feeling great again today with the shakeology, I did eat around 1450 calories, still in my range but more than I wanted. I wasn't binging though, just hungry cause I ran 4 miles after work today, was going to do my turbo fire, but then didn't.

Aaron- I did try the greenberry, not bad but I really love the chocolate!!!! I will keep letting you all know how it is going for me this week! Great job with 4 weeks of you running program!

Babs- Good luck with the meal planning, that is always hard for me also. My husband has been gone a while now and I haven't made but a couple real meals, sad I know. Good for you, and I know you can get your shoes real soon!

Tamika- Hope you enjoyed zumba, tell us how it went!

Finished up week 4 on the c25k. emoticon . Time to start week 5 on Wednesday. I stayed in calorie range today and on the low end even. Tomorrow I think I might do some hip hop abs in the morning. Cassandra, sometimes if I don't do my workouts in the morning I won't do them. Tamika, that's really awesome that you came do a Zumba class at lunch. I just take walks, but at least that's something. Annette, have you tried the greenberry shakology? I have tried the chocolate and it was delicious. I think I am going to buy some next month. I hope everyone had a wonderful day. Getting ready to exercise, then I'm going to work on planning meals. It would be nice to have my meals planned in advance, I'm just not that good at it. It is the next step for me in the book I'm reading, "The Beck Diet Solution". It's a great book, but it does require action.

Also got my heirloom tomato seeds sprouting. It looks like all six varieties made it. I harvested them from last years tomatoes. I have no idea if they will actually make tomatoes, it's my first time doing this.

Good morning all! Today is Zumba day for me!!! WooHoo! I am soooo excited because I never get to take any classes but my gym finally has a noon class on Mondays. So that is where I will be every Monday. I am pumped. My weekend was ok. Did a ton of yard work and made sure to add those calories i burned right into my tracker.

Night 4 here. I am over halfway done with my stretch. I hope to get in some activity, but am really sluggish. Working on protein.

I decided to drink my shakeology for breakfast and lunch, with two regular snacks and a nutritious dinner. Today was my first day. Ended up eating just over 1200 calories and I don't feel hungry at all. I'm only going to do this for a week and then if I'm feeling good, I'm going to continue with the Shakeology but only for breakfast. Well see how it goes. Did the WII fit today, but tomorrow will get in some running. Hope everyone has a wonderful week.

So no run today but I did try to hoop for about 10 minutes so I am going to count it as fitness today. I did stay in calorie range as well. It seems like it has been a lazy Sunday for me even though I went grocery shopping for the week and made lunch and dinner and caught up on all my dvr shows. lol Good day it was. I do hope everyone else had a good one.

@Brittany- So sorry about your trip!! I know it can be a bummer when a fun plan falls apart.

My husband and I had an adventure day yesterday. We had Dim sum, went to the Japanese Market, the John Fluevog shoe store, Pensey's Spices, Marion Cheese Market (Ummm... Gouda), and then stopped for sushi on the way home.

I tried on a lot of shoes and picked out my pair for when I hit 160 lb. You can see them in my blog...

@ Ashleigh- No advice on where to start, but hope the cardio went well.

@Annette- The Tilted Kilt sounds fun, hope you enjoyed your time with you husband.

I am on night 3 out of 6 at work. I did not sleep well today and feel really grumpy!!!

I realized I booked flight on the wrong day. I am cancelling my vacation because I would have to find coverage for both Monday and Tuesday night. It was going to be 303 to change to Wednesday morning:( I am really sad about this, but am trying to look at the bright side of a week at home relaxing and getting things done.

Today I got my workout in. I did hip hop abs with my sister and a friend. It was tough but fun. I didn't stay in range though. Had a date night with the hubbs at the tilted kilt. Had I not had a strongbow I would have been on the high end but in range. It was good though. Going for a run in the morning to finish week 4. Yay! I hope everyone is having a great weekend! @ashleigh- so glad you are on the mend. Its sucks to be sick.

Hey everyone, hope you are all having a great weekend! Well I havn't been able to do a lick of excersize since I got sick, let me tell you it layed me out flat on my back, but I'm starting to feel better and am going to try to get some cardio in on my tread mill this evening and then start back on my C.E. my question is should I start where I left off in the 3rd week of the burn phase or should I start over from the beginning again???

Okay went over my cal range but did go running with my coworkers. Next week Im going to set a mileage goal and run on the treadmill after my group run to get in the extra miles. Also pick up a new Jillian Michaels wii game. Going to try it out in a min. Chess tourney tomorrow, then out with a friend in the evening. Everyone enjoy your weekend.

Hey Everyone! I had a pretty good day today. I got up early and got my run in and it defiantly went better than Wednesday. I stayed within range today and even had pizza for dinner. It was good too. I haven't had pizza in so long and it was Flyers which is my fave too. Yummy.
@Babs- I think shoes sound like a great reward. btw, I love the shoes. especially the first pair. so cute.

Had a great work out today. This morning I did an hour of yoga and I just got done doing my Salsa Blast. I feel really good. I hope I can stay in my calorie range today.
I'm thinking of setting a goal and getting shoes for the reward. They are expensive, so I'll have to talk it over with the hubby, but I think he'll agree to it. I want to go into Chicago and try them on to be sure I'm completely in love with them first. Then I should post pic's everywhere to keep me motivated.

Good day today, stayed well within my calorie range. Very happy about that. I got some Shakeology samples in the mail yesterday and tried the chocolate this morning. Made it with 1 cup of Almond milk and some ice. LOVED IT! Got on line right away and ordered a month supply. It's very expensive but it tasted good, filled me up (drank it at around 7 and wasn't hungry till about 12), and I have't had cravings all day. I don't know if it's because of the Shakeology, but I have two more samples so I will let you know if it continues. Yah, so excited!!!! Going to try and stay on the lower end of my calorie range. Can't wait to start the next four weeks fresh. I start my marathon training plan in the middle of next month, cant wait for that and for my hubbs to get home so I can join my Saturday running group once again. Feeling very motivated again! Evern pulled the top of my subway sandwich tonight to save calories. Kid has his last chess tourney this weekend, so that should be fun.

@ AAron- Hope you will get to feeling all the way better soon. Enjoy your run tomorrow.

Today was a good day. I ate well and stayed within range. I did not get in any fitness though. Feel a little guilty about that. I am just really tired and not feeling it. I don't have a choice tomorrow because it's a run day. I am going to redo day 2 since I didn't finish it on Wednesday. Hope everyone had a great day and will have a super tomorrow.

@Tamika-I love Zumba! That's so exciting that they will have classes in the middle of the day!

@Babs-I am so glad everything is good with your mom. Thank you also for the encouragement. It's been a rough week for me but I am making it.

@Annette-Yay for the water main! I think that is cool that you have a little running group at work. It's sounds like it's contagious. You go!

Hey all! Just popping in. Can't go to the gym at lunch like I usually do because I need to get off early but I will make sure to get in a good one tonight. I also found out that my gym will be offering Zumba class at noon on Mondays. I am so excited because I can only go to the gym at lunch so I never get to take any classes. So I will definitely be doing that every Monday.


@Babs...I am still getting to know you so I am not sure who you are speaking of but I saw the word cancer. So congrats on that being gone. Cancer is suck an ugly monster and I love to hear of success stories. Good luck to you guys.

I'm back home!!! Mom's surgery went well. She has a franken-nose right now, but it looks like it will heal well. The surgeon doesn't think there will need to be any more reconstruction and the cancer is gone.
So, when people turn 70, do they no longer need sleep? I understand the night before surgery, being nervous and all. But the night after, she crawled into bed with me after I had 4 hours of sleep and started a conversation. Then she brought me morning tea at 6 a.m. I may have slept a total of 10 hours the three nights I was with her. Even though I was exhausted after the five hour drive home, I did manage to stop and get healthy groceries so I could start today strong.

@Ashleigh- Take care of yourself.

@Annette- Congrats on the running and the water main.

@Aaron- You'll get through this slump. Just being involved in this challenge will help. I believe in you!!!!

Okay, still on track. Stayed withing my calorie range today and ran after work with my co workers. I love that I started this running group and people actually want to be a part of it. I have decided when my husband gets back I will start going to the gym in the mornings also and just work on sprint intervals to increase my speed and stamina. Oh and by the way the water main is getting fixed tomorrow, yah!!!

@Aaron- I know how you feel, I think I need to step it up also. Don't forget to relax and take some time for yourself.
@Tamika- Great job getting your work out in!

Well...today was an okay day. I had to cut my run short and just didn't have time to get in much more of a workout. I don't like it when I can;t get in a good workout. I feel like I am not doing enough. I stayed in calorie range. YAY! I think I am just having an off week. I can't seem to shake this slump. I am going to keep pushing though. I am am done being the fat girl.

@Tamika- Great job getting in your workout and staying in range. It is a great feeling. I do think you are right...I need a "me day"!

Hi ladies,
So happy to report that I am officially back on track. I stayed within my calorie range and even moved a little. I will be running tomorrow with my co worker and I'm kinda excited about that. I really do feel good about making good choices today, I feel in control today, and thats all I can ask for.

I have had a pretty crummy day today. Having lots of issues with my job and feeling a bit stressed by the drama. I think it's just time for a vacation or a mental health day. lol. I did not workout and I did not stay in my calorie range. I blew it on cookies. lol I promise I will do better tomorrow. It's a run day so fitness is a go. Just feeling run down and need to get out of this slump.

@Char- I am sorry you have to leave. good luck on your goals. I know you can do it.

@Brittany- I know what you are saying about a stressful job. Do whats best for you.

Sorry I have been MIA for a couple days here in the chat room. So I messed up my points for those day. But I am here now. I did manage to get my points in all the other areas though so that is good. I have nothing excited to tell. LOL. Nothing much going on over here. I plan to have a very successful week though. Going for a 1.5lb loss this week so wish me luck.

@Brittany...what is your part-time job? Maybe it is not worth the stress.

@Char ...I am sorry you have to leave the challenge but sometimes life just gets in our way. Good luck to you as well. And maybe you can join us again on the next one!

@Cassandra...good for you for pushing through your workout. I do that sometimes. I have do it and then about mid way through I say to myself "why am I even working out if I am not going to really do it?" then I make myself finish strong. It is hard sometimes but we gotta push through so GOOD FOR YOU!

@Annette...today is a new day. So don't beat yourself up just start fresh now. We got your back!

@Ashleigh...get well soon. Don't push yourself too much. It is better to get healthy first.

@Aaron...good for you! Keep it up. Hula hooping is a great way to exercise. I hear Beyonce does it everyday!

Morning Humming birds.

Had a terrible night at work last night. I am trying to come up with a good reason not to go back tonight. It is a part time position that I work at once a month and it really stresses me out. If I worked there more, I don't think it would be so awful. I am thinking about resigning because it is just not worth the stress.

I was off on my protein because when I got home I showered and dropped into bed without eating.

@ Aaron- Eay to go on your exercise and determination with the hula hoop- you will do it:)

@ Cassandra- Way to go for making that distinction and kicking it up a notch.

@Ashleigh, hope you are get better soon.

Ok so I'm learning from my bad weekend. I was right on track with calories today and although it took me a while to get up and workout this morning, I still did it. About 15 minutes into the workout I realized I was just phoning it in, so I pushed myself ten times harder for the remainder of the workout. I'll definitely be kicking it up a notch tomorrow!

@Aaron: That's so awesome! I love making my own hoops, it's always more fun when you can personalize it. Keep up the hooping, you'll get it soon enough!

@Ashleigh: Ick, bronchitis! No fun! Get tons of rest and feel better!

Hey everyone,happy monday, hope everyone had a good weekend. So I have been diagnosed with bronchitis today, and am now on antibiotics for 5 days. I won't be able to work out for a few more days, especially with me being short of breath from my congestion and I have been told to get lots of rest. But I can still manage my calories and stay on track that way. I'll be back doing my C.E. in a few days, promise!

Hey friends! I stayed in calorie range and got my fitness in by going for a run this morning and more attempted hula hooping. Not quite doing it but getting there. I think I got in 3 or 4 good rotations before it fell.

@Cass- I made my own hoops too! I had enough stuff that I made one for my sister and my step daughters too. It was easy.

How did it get to be Monday again? I spent most of my day off sleeping, but I needed it. Working at the jail today and tomorrow, not looking forward to it:( But I did make my protein goals and get in some cardio. My back feels better but still a tinge

So I was over in calories today emoticon I didn't even bother tracking because I knew I was going to be over. We had a dinner at work today and there was pizza and tons of sweet stuff. I haven't had pizza in 3 months so that was a weakness for me. I'm paying for it now though because I feel disgusting. I'm just drinking a lot of water right now, it's helping a little.

@Aaron- That's so funny! I taught myself how to hula hoop 3 years ago with a cheap hoop from K-Mart. Now I make my own hoops, mainly because it's hard to find an adult sized one in stores lol. It's definitely a fun workout and once you get it down, you won't want to stop!

Stayed in range today and got in some fitness by trying to hula hoop. I will not stop till I can do it. I am going to try everyday till I get it right. Tomorrow starts week 4 in c25k. emoticon

Oh, team. I am sorry I am letting you down. I have not worked out with my back. It does not seem to be getting any better. I am struggling with food too. I don't feel good and am not sleeping well so therefore I do not want to eat.

I only have 18 grams of protein in so will try to get something on my way home. Someone stole my greek yogurt out of the fridge. I needed that protein!!

So excited about my day off tomorrow. My first instinct is to sleep 12 hours but I have to get up and enjoy the sunshine and spend time with my husband.

Just letting you girls know that I will be missing for a few days. I'm driving to MI tomorrow and then taking my mom to Cleveland clinic on Monday. She has some Basal cell skin cancer that needs to be removed. They need to put her under all the way, and they will need to do plastic surgery on her nose after the removal. Hopefully things will go smoothly and I'll be coming home soon. I'd love to be home by Friday. Who knows.

Well I went over incalories 2 days in a row. Bummer. I had a few drinks last night and today we went out with the inlaws. I overindulged a bit. I did workout yesterday and today I did a lot of walking. I am getting back on track tomorrow.

To enter you must be a mom who is a majority owner of a business. You must also have a website for your business. No matter what industry, what business model, what size and stage, if you meet those three requirements, you are encouraged to enter.

Selection Process and Important Dates
The StartupNation judges will review the top 200 vote getters and select businesses from among those to highlight as “Most Outstanding” in specialized categories and themes developed during the judging process.

• March 1, 2011: Registration and voting begins on.
• April 31, 2011: You can enter your business until midnight Pacific Time on.
• May 2011: Judging and vote tabulation will occur the first week of May. StartupNation will select a variety of moms from among the finalists and create editorial feature stories about them.
• May 8, 2011: Winners are announced.

Hey all! It's gonna be a quick post from me, but I just had to share with someone. Today I went shopping at Express and two wonderful things happened: 1- I bought shorts!! and 2- they're size 4!!! I didn't think I'd EVER be a size 4 at Express. It definitely made everything I've been pushing for worth it! I can't wait for warmer weather!! emoticon

Hello Everyone! wanted desert last night, but I didn't do it. I was to close to the end of my calorie range. Instead I told my husband he could watch anything he wanted on television if he'd rubbed my feet. I fell asleep watching 'This Old House' on PBS. I think it may have been better than a chocolaty dessert. I got all of my points yesterday! hurray!

@Brittany- We did get grapes last year. They seemed small, but I really didn't know how they are suppose to be. If three out of the five survived the severe neglect I'll be happy.

Edit: I just got done exercising. I danced, danced, danced. If you like dance music you may want to check out this band. It's like ABBA and Lady Gaga had a baby.
