I have a stressfull few days. I am back at it. I falied to exercise this morning but I am going to do it now.

We’ve gone from 59 members to 47, and some teams have very little activity. We’ll have five teams; three will have 9 members and 2 will have 10 members. There are still some members that are questionable as they don’t have a challenge template up but have posted a few times in the chat rooms, so I will go ahead and place them on a team. You will still be with your current team members; you’ll just be combined with another team. Depending on how it works out, you might have a new team name. If so, all you’ll have to do is copy your original challenge template, go to your new team challenge post, reply and paste in your original challenge template. I plan on doing this first thing in the morning, and will send out a spark mail to all of the members of each team.

I hope that you are enjoying this challenge and making new friends, as well as giving and receiving the support and motivation that this challenge is based on. Even if it’s just telling someone what’s going on in your life, it’s nice knowing that others care and respond to your posts.

Be looking for a Spark Mail in the morning from me. The subject of the mail will be: NEW ‘GET LEAN BY SUMMER’ TEAM ASSIGNMENT.

I specifically left my weekend out of my post. It was great from a life perspective, but awful from a challenge perspective. I did get some fitness in on Friday, but on Saturday decided to use my time to visit a young girl I know who is fighting cancer and has been hospitalized for over a month. I ate at least 4 cheesecake brownies that I made (but at least they were good) and I didn't track on Friday or Saturday. Sunday is a workday here in Israel, and I was right back on track though.

Let's make this week a great one for all of us!

Well my weekend has been quit busy. I did not get to log my food yesterday. I did get in some workout time. How do you guys do with logging your food? The weather where I live is starting to feel like spring. I would like to participate in a five k here soon.

How was the weekend for the two of you. Here is to a good strong week.

Kami- that's amazing about the heart rate monitor. I should really invest in one to help me get a feel for what I am burning.

Beth- That must have been really frightening losing your dog like that. If you would have had a pedometer, I bet you would have logged a "bazillion" steps..

I did my PC 1 this morning. I'm in my last week of this month! I can't wait to get to Lean. I really like Push, but am ready for a change.

Hello Ladies,

Sorry I did not check in yesterday. Had planned to but our evening plans were totally changed. When I got home from school, my son and I took the dogs for a run/walk. We went close to 6 miles and when we got home I took the dogs inside and let Bogart, our new dog, off of his leash. I forgot that we had opened the gate and he escaped. We have only had him for two weeks. Anyway, we spent over 3 hours walking around searching for him. We live in the country and I was afraid he had taken off after deer and then got lost. He eventually showed up dirty and covered in burrs. I got a lot of exercise but that's about it. =(

I have been doing well with my exercise but need to work on the eating. Sometimes it is so easy to make wise food choices but other times I just can't wrap my head around.

Kami and Dvora, thanks for checking in daily. I wonder where the rest of our team is.

Dvora,

I wear a heart rate monitor while doing the Turbo Fire videos or other various videos. I will exercise until I hit 500 calories burned.

I can realate to your not being able to give it your all to either being a mother or working.

To all the other team mates...Let's make this a strong team. Lets last the full 16 weeks. I think I say that as I do want to finish this strong. I want to be the most fit I have been in my adult life. I am getting there I just need to keep with it.

Kami-

The only bad part is that I never feel like I can give my all, not at home or at work. What kind of exercise do you do to burn 500 calories?

This was day two of real tracking EVERYTHING. Even the biscuits that I ate when I knew that I shouldn't. It's a miracle that I stayed in range.

Today's exercise consisted of walking fifteen minutes uphill to register my daughter for kindergaten and then back home, pushing a completely full shopping cart, and lifting by baby. Tomorrow I'll have time for a video.

Hello Lean Blue Birds,

Day 2 is here and I actually logged all of my food for the first day. That feels like I have acomplished something with just that. I think I am still a little confused on the points thing but will try to understand it more today or over the weekend when I have more time.

Today will be a day of no exercise as I will just not have the time. My goal at the time is to Exercise 5 times a week. With working to burn about 500 calories each time.

Hi Blue Birds!

I am really looking forward to this challenge. I work best when pushed, so I am hoping that this will do the trick.

I usually work full time and have 7 kids aged 17 to 5 months. We get 3 months paid maternity leave here in Israel, and I am gradually going back to all of my positions so right now I am at home more than usual. That's a good thing because I have more time for exercise. It's a bad thing because at work I'm too busy to eat and at home I'm really close to the kitchen.

Looking forward to getting to know all of you better,

Good Morning Lean Blue Birds!

So today is the day! I am excited to start this challenge as I definitely need a jump start.

The sun is shining here for the first time in a long time so I am looking forward to a nice run as soon as I am done with school today. Bogart, my dog is getting his teeth cleaned this morning so hopefully he will not be too groggy to run this afternoon.

Kami, I am in awe of people who juggle the schedules of that many children. =) My brother and his wife also have four children. Some days I barely manage with my lonely only.

Hello Lean Blue Birds,

My name is Kami,

I am looking forward to getting to know more people on Spark. I have been more of a lurker then a commenter. I have been at this weight loss project since last June. I have lost about 25lbs and have been stuck with loosing just a few pounds since the beginning of the year. I need the focus of posting in my nutrition log. I think my downfall is the little snacking I do through out the day. I am not really sure how you are to track all of the snacking so I will just do my best to cut it out.

I work full time and am a mother to 4 very active children. Their ages are 16,12,9 and 7. I am also very active in my church.

Here is to a good challenge....

Hi Fellow Blue Birds!

I feel like I am in my son's reading group. =P

I am Beth and I live in Central, Illinois.

I feel like I have been a giant slug this winter and am looking forward to getting back into the swing of things. I have started running/walking again. We just adopted a rescue PBGV and right now he has to be crated during the day so exercise is mandatory when I get home. No more being lazy or I would have a very unhappy dog. Now I just need to motivation to get the strength training back in.

This is where you will meet on a daily basis to offer encouragement and/or support to your fellow buddies. Spend some time getting to know your teammates. Being open and honest with each other is the best way to really get to know each other, and to be supportive which is what this is all about.

To reply to a specific persons’ post, I find it best using @USERNAME (or first name as you get to know each other).

Depending on who actually ends up participating (sometimes people sign up with the best of intentions, and then end up not participating, or have to leave, or can’t participate for a few days or a week which is perfectly acceptable), the total monthly points will be averaged by the number of participants in each team.
