What did you call it? I didn't get an invite...:( No workout for me until Maggie is out of surgery. The vet called and pre-surgery she vomited something she ingested and he was worried. I think he is as worried as I because we lost another lab puppy in November. She bled to death after spaying. I'm sick with worry.

Ooh I love Organized Dailips!! You know what they say, birds of a feather! And in our case, the birds are Hot Chicks!

Ok, so I just finished:

1. CLX Lean 1 Circuit - WHAT THE! That was TOUGH STUFF! Couldn't really do the plank with the tricep extension so I modified - will keep trying though!
2. TF Fire 30 - I'm glad I did a partial 5 day inferno because I wasn't traumatized but how fast the music was. I felt some of Chalene's cues in this video were off, so needless to say, my moves weren't perfect. But I think I kept up. And surprisingly, Chalene wasn't right... I WASN'T TIRED! And I GOT MY SECOND WIND!
3. TF Stretch 10 - Ooh this felt good. I think I may take Becky's advice and replace this or add a quickie yoga session.

I actually felt like I could have done some Zumba, but it's almost 11pm and I have an early morning shoot. So I'm going to shower and sleep soon. And try to wake up early tom for my first ever HIIT WORKOUT! Woohoo!

Good night lovelies!

I hope gals don't mind if I go ahead and experiment with making a team page... :) I'm so excited about his whole Dailip team page idea. Don't worry, we can tweak it as we go along. :)

Just wanted to stop in and say HI. I've already ran a few errands and now it's time to start cleaning and organizing. It is a HUGE job but like you guys said it's an amazing feeling when it's all done. I feel so much less stressed when the house is picked up and organized.

I love the idea of having our own private team page : )

@HOT MOMMA KAL! You are so awesome for clearing up your clutter! Don't it feel gooooooood??? Those tasks really go a long way for your self-esteem and self-fulfillment, don't you think? Just clearing up my press releases and products made me feel so awesome, so I can imagine how much more you accomplished you feel!
I have more pockets of clutter in the house that I plan to attack over the next few weeks and months, one drawer at a time, one shelf at a time, one weekend at a time. I really feel that the state of my home is a reflection of the clarity in my brain - on the outside, things look ok, but open a drawer and there's usually a mishmash of things stashed.
I'm going to reorganize my filing system too and I was to start making digital copies of things and throwing out old papers I really don't need anymore. I know it's going to be tedious, but I know I'll feel good when it gets done.

I think this wedding/funeral weekend has been a good one in terms of newswatching doncha think? It's always disaster and devastation lately. But over the course of a couple of days we saw repeated images of hundreds of thousands of people rejoicing and celebrating.

Sending happy vibes to my DAILIPITAS!

My vote for the DAILIP TEAM PAGE, is to have a private DAILIP team page! Is that possible? Would be great to just let our hair down and not necessarily worry about the whole of SP reading our private convos. :) And with a team page, we'd have more room to move so to speak. Like maybe for every new month we start a discussion thread - May 2011, June 2011, etc. Then have specific threads for specific concerns - eg Audrey please share your hybrid sked, HMK how's Mag's doing?, Baby Guns did you remember to wear sunscreen, etc... And if you want to invite new members to our cloister then we can put it to a team vote and proceed. :)

Do you all realize that this thread is over 300 posts long?!?! Hahaha

We SHOULD start our own team - easy peasy to do - are we going to be Dailip Sistas or something else? Public? Private? We should have a team meeting!

Dani I didn't know you got a camper - we'd love to do that so when Brian does all of his crazy runs, swims, triathlons etc. we could just pack up and go without having to find hotels etc. Just hard when you are gypsies like we are. Pictures please! :)

So just allergies huh? I am so glad you went to the doctors.

Today is the day. I take Mags to the vets for her surgery and I'll come home and work it.

Yesterday, and I am ashamed to admit this so it tells you just how close I am to you, I spent the day and finally, got something done that has been a huge monkey on my back - I got the Christmas, then winter, Valentines, St. Patricks, Mardi Gras, spring, then easter decorations put away. They have been staged willy nilly in the dungeon aka basement ever bothersome to me and they are sorted and stored in their respective and MANY containers once again. It took most of the day. I am a huge decorator for each and every occasion and season and each season/occasion has a rubbermaid container or twelve or so....I am hugely relieved. to have this done as it was driving me nudgily insane.

And then at 11 something Brian's son a young Marine phoned up asking "Is it true Dad" and almost simultaneously Briana phoned up exclaiming the party at her military school was incredible for us to learn out of a deep sleep that finally after so many years Osama Bin Ladin is DEAD. I have goose bumps just writing that this nefarious insidious man and mastermind of so much mass destruction and changing our lives as we know them is DEAD. Derek still leaves for Afghanistan in September. He is headed to San Diego State University to be taught to learn their language in a two month advanced course.

Times Square is partying like New Years - today is a day to celebrate Americans!

@BABY GUNS Ė Wow NASCAR sounds like so much fun! And yes, please NEVER forget your sunscreen. If thereís one thing I learned from interviewing dermatologists and beauty experts, itís that sunscreen is your BFF! :)

@DANI Ė Camping fun! I hope you feel better soon!
And yes UTI is the pits. But the cranberry juice really helped. It makes my throat scratchy though so my friends also suggested coconut juice. I feel like Iím almost back to normal. ALMOST. Iím bracing myself for my shoots tom! Good luck to me!

@AUDREY Ė Congrats on getting your research final done! Ainít it great to get things done?!?! So excited to see your sked! Iím working on a workout spreadsheet. Still tweaking so it will be great to compare notes with you.

Iím going to have some chicken and pork adobo with steamed veg now. Then Iím going to start DAY ONE of my CLX/TF hybrid. So excited!!! Wish me luck. If I can, Iíll post later and report. ☺

Hugs!

Hey Dailips!

Just stopping by quickly to stay hi and respond to your comments.

Kal: I say that if you can do the 3 days of strength training of CLX and skip the cardio workouts then just do that. Do what you can. I understand how you feel when you say that you feel like you have to do it all. I felt like that all the time when I was living with my parents. I had to go with my mom to do the grocery shopping every week and I had to accompany her any time she wanted to go to the mall or just to go window shopping because she wouldn't go by herself. I often had to put my school work or my obligations on hold to help my parents with this or that. I would feel guilty if I didn't comply to their requests because I was living in their house rent-free however I worked full time and paid all of my bills on my own but I still felt guilty. Sometimes we just have to do what is best for us because as they say in Sparkland...how will you take care of others, if you don't take care of yourself first? Do your best and let the rest roll off your shoulders. And yes I can feel your dancing all the way here in Florida!

Becky: That is awesome advice! Very well stated. I'm also need to start CLX again. I'm thinking I'll restart it tomorrow.

Soul Cystah: I will definitely post my workout schedule as soon as I finish it. I keep saying I will do it and then something comes up and I forget but I will do it tonight before I go to bed. Hope that UTI clears up soon and you feel better! I know how annoying and painful those can be.

Earin: Glad to hear you were able to make it to the race and put some aloe-vera on that sunburn to soothe it! Ouch!

Well I'm off to finally do my workout schedule for May. I'm glad to be done with my research final. Took me 2 days to finish but it's done and I'm done with that class, hopefully forever!!! I know if I continue to do my doctorate I'll be facing research again but at least it won't be a class. I think it'll be my dissertation. Oh god let me not even think about it!

Night!

We had a great weekend. I hate to see it end. We took out our new camper for the first time. It was sooo much fun. We also took the kids to the local amusement park we had a blast, and it was a beautiful weekend. My only exercise was walking around the amusement park and eating wasn't the best but I guess not awful. I went to the Dr sat morning because I felt awful I was still dizzy. He had no ideas for me just told me to take allergy medicine, so I am plus sudafed (sp) I'm feeling better this afternoon.

This is going to be a busy week for me. I think I'm going to skip workouts as hard as it may be. I'm having that garage sale on Sat and still have so much to do. I want to go through some more boxes in the basement plus closets. Not to mention setting it all up and pricing everything. I'm just not sure how to do it all and still keep up the house and do everything else I need/have to do. Ughh I'm not the best at prioritizing. I would LOVE suggestions : )

Mina- Hope you have a great day off. I get UTI's quite a bit. They are very uncomfortable. I never thought of carrying around cranberry juice with me. I may have to give it a try. I just hope I don't get one for a very very long time : ) Congrats on getting your project done that would be a huge accomplishment not to mention decluttering!!

Earin- My hubby and I want to go to a Nascar race. It sounds like so much fun. Hope your sunburn feels better soon. I usually burn and don't tan at all.

Hey ladies! I don't have time to respond to everyone right now, but wanted to let you know that I have not disappeared. We went out to the Nascar race yesterday and partied hard all day. Why sunscreen didn't cross my mind, I have no idea. But once again I got FRIED!! I hardly ever burn, but we were out at the track from 11:00-8:00. That was a lot of beautiful Virginia sunshine on my shoulders and back. So of course I didn't work out at all yesterday, spent the entire day drinking skinny girl margaritas, jagermeister, jungle juice... u name it they have it out at the race. UGH!!!! I wasn't feeling good all morning today, but I forced myself to go to the gym before I picked up Lexi. I did 45 minutes on the elliptical and would have gone longer but had to get her and take her to gymnastics. I'm now two days behind on CLX. I should have started Lean week 3 yesterday but haven't started yet. I'm going to try to plan out my workout scheduled tomorrow to fit in TurboFire and to finish ChaLEAN.

It's Sunday night here and I spent the day cleaning up clutter and drinking loads of cranberry juice. I feel so much better and am glad! Didn't have to go to doc and down antibiotics. Woohoo. I didn't workout all weekend though just because I was so uncomfortable and couldn't imagine doing anything physical when I've been running to the bathroom every 10 to 15min.

In any case, that's over with and since I'm on the other side of the world, I think I'm going to be first to start the TF/CLX Hybrid Challenge tom! Woohoo!

I plan to get it done early in the day. Let's hope I wake up early enough. It's a holiday here, but I need to run early errands in town for my shoot on Tuesday, so I really need to get this workout done at about 5 or 6am. If I get too winded, then I'll split it up and do a "doubles" programme. Still trying to figure out how I'm going to incorporate yoga and zumba into the mix - I don't want to tire myself out, but I still want to get my goals done. So let's see how it goes.

Oh it's so nice to sit at my desk and know that I'm not totally surrounded in clutter. Threw out a whole bunch of expired cosmetics and old press kits and generally useless shizz. I want to reorganize some drawers and go throw my stockpile of fabrics, but that can wait for another day. Right now, I'm going to enjoy the last of my Sunday and catch up on my reading. :)

Happy mellow Sunday girls.

HAPPY SATURDAY DALIPITASSSSSSSSS!!!

I finally finished my booklet project!!!! Ahhhhhhh!!!! It feels so good to hear a client say APPROVED. Woohoo!

Plus, I completed the WHOLE Chalene Johnson 30-Day Challenge! I did my homework everyday, I stuck with it and I didn't give up on it. I love this new me and how I've been following through and finishing stuff lately. BOO YEAH. I totally kicked Challenge Butt. PATTING OWN BACK.
I sound so full of myself. HAHA! Sorry! But I'm savoring the moment. Savor. Lick. Slurp.
Ok, back to humility and down-to-earthness. But beware of possible Full-of-Self relapses in the future.

The only damper to this weekend is I think I have UTI again. This is embarrassing but I usually get it when I'm super stressed and forget to drink water. It didn't help that I had this booklet to wrap up, so I didn't have time to go to doctor. Instead, I lugged around a gallon of cranberry juice and I feel soooooo much better. That stuff is amazing. The only problem is I know there was some sugar in it Ė even if I picked a no-HFCS, less sugar variety. I figure it was ďmedicinalĒ so I cut myself some slack. Will try to make it to doc in the morning, because I have three shoots next week Ė that means LOTS of running around and HAULING stuff. WORKOUT!

@DANI Ė I hope you feel better! And I see you're back to your morning exercise routine. I so want to get back to that, too. I've been working out in the afternoons lately and I find that it's harder to motivate myself. Bleah.

@SOUL CYSTER Ė Hope you're feeling better! I get blahs around TOM, too. [virtual hug and a pound of non-fattening-chocolate for you]
TF/CLX/RUNNING/ELLIPTICAL Hybrid!?!? You are a MACHINE, SISTAH FRIEND! Woohah! I love it. You totally rock! Can you please share what you do? I would be totally interested to hear what you do.
I think I want to make my own TF/CLX/Zumba/Yoga Hybrid. I also want to elliptical, just because I bought one of them mini ellipticals on Amazon like three years ago and I hardly use it. Poor baby.
WAHOO FOR YOUR INTERVALS! Boo Effing Yeah!!
And I'm the same as you, if I feel hungry, I wait 20 minutes, if I'm still hungry, then I feed myself. Even a small snack, even if it goes over my cals (I just stay under my carbs). I've learned to listen to my body instead of my head.

@BABY GUNS Ė Hope you're feeling better too! There seems to be a bug going around the Dailips chat room. Haha.
I totally want to go over your old posts and write down your workout sked. You're so amazing with the way you can fit in all those workouts!
I want that kind of stamina too. This week has been awful for me. Only managed to get CLX circuits in and nothing else. But I promise to do better next week, especially since we're starting the CLX/TF Hybrid Challenge.

@HOT MOMMA KAL Ė I totally know what you mean about feeling overwhelmed. Breathe in, breathe out Ė like you say. :) One thing at a time, right?
And it seems everywhere I look, DAILIPS are totally WERQING it! OH SNAP!!! What's your exercise sked breakdown? Seems like you're doing a LOT!
And you're not a whiner, HMK. Sometimes we all need moments to write things out to be able to process things, you know? You're a hot, fab, amazing WOMAN. HEAR YOU ROAR!
I found that the Chalene organizing To-Do list basics were a great place to start. So just open your Awesome Notes and start listing. I love my To-Do list now and I'm sure you will, too!
Just rememeber, HMK, keep telling yourself YOU CAN! You are ORGANIZED! You are A SUPERWOMAN. I know it's very self-help-y, but I like talking to myself in the positive, because it like I brainwash myself and turn these positives into self-fulfilling prophesies of sorts. Hehe.
Did I tell you about Joe Vitale's The Awakening Course? That's pretty awesome and you might want to try looking it up. :)

@FABBECKY Ė Feel better soon, honey! We gots some TF-ing to do on Monday! Haha. HUGS!
I swear there's a bug going around this chatroom!
Sisters in Sick Solidarity! Hahahaha.
And yes, just pick up where you left off with the Chalene Challenge. It's well worth the effort, I think. :)
I've started Tony Robbin's Personal Power II Program. I've had it for awhile but never finished it. Finishing the Chalene one has given me the motivation and determination to finish this. I also went out and picked up some Brian Tracy books, on Chalene's recommendation. He's pretty cool.

Have a great Labor Day Weekend DAILIPS! Me love you long time!

Kal - you have got to sit down with Brian and talk to him. Tell him how much you appreciate everything he does for you, how bad it makes you feel that he has to do it, and that as part of the family, Tori should start helping out a little more. There are certainly some things she could do - and you do not want her to grow up to be a spoiled young woman who expects the world to do everything for her. Tell him how even if she just started doing X (pick some small but significant chore) it would be a help to the whole family. Explain it that way to Tori too. Tell her how much you love her and need her help - she might be more willing ( or at least less full of teenage resentment) to do a little more.

As for staying on top of Chalene... I sort of fell off the wagon about day 15 so I am starting over again tomorrow.

Audrey - WHOOHOOEY!!!!!!! YEA YOU!!!! I am so jazzed for you and doing a happy dance for you here in MI! Can you feel it? A bit of Zumba with some Cuban soul - arrrrrrrriba!!!!! Woot woot!!!!!!

Since I'm doing Chalene AGAIN what would you all suggest I can do to be more on top of things going into it again knowing that weekends for instance are hard for me to spend al ot of time on ME because they are full of family and if I am online it causes problems? Right now Brian is gone PTing and I need to get to and do it and Tori is in bed still.

Becky, hope your sinus cold/infection is soon better. They are the WORST.

:(

I hear you on priorities but I feel like I am the one person who is expected to and HAS to do it all and I just can't. And I normally somehow make it happen but even stupid things I am going to need help for this year and I don't know how it will happen. I can't even pump the stupid container on the pesticide I have to use for thistles and such on the property with my stupid hands. Brian or Tori have to open my water bottles every morning ahead of time because I can't turn the lids. Tori isn't asked to do anything and she could/should. If she had straight A's maybe but she does nothing to help. Oh well. I can only do what I can do and it will HAVE to be enough. I also have to get over feeling I've let Brian down if he is doing stuff that I normally do because I just can't do it all. It's a conundrum within myself for sure.

Thanks for being there ya'll. I truly have no one to talk to.

Hugs and have a great weekend. Kal

Dailips!

Yesterday I went to the park for an easy run but it was cloudy outside and cool and after my warm up walk I was feeling good so I decided to go for it. Just as a reminder, I have been stuck on Week 4 of the Couch to 5K program. Those 5 minute intervals have been killing me. However since I was feeling so good yesterday I decided that I was going to run through all of the intervals and I did it! I ran both 3 minute intervals and both 5 minutes ones. I can't believe I actually did it! I did my happy dance in the middle of the park and I didn't care who saw me. Talk about a runner's high, huh? Wooohoooo! However, the weirdest thing happened later that night. I had dinner at my regular time but around 9:30 my stomach was growling and I felt hungry. I drank some water but that didn't help. My stomach kept growling and I had that empty feeling so I decided that if I was going to go over my calories then I might as well make it healthy so I made a strawberry protein shake. I guess my body really needed the calories.

Today I managed to pull myself away from the Royal Wedding and met up with a friend from class at the gym and walked a 5K on the treadmill. After pushing so hard yesterday, I thought the best thing to do would be to take it easy today. It felt good to just do an easy walk and flush out any remaining lactic acid. I have absolutely no pain in my legs now. Yay!
I have to do my final for my research class tomorrow or at least complete half of it so I'm thinking of hitting the gym late afternoon or in the evening so I don't think I'll be making it to the park. We'll see how things pan out.

Earin: If you want I can send my schedule to you when I'm done with it. You are way past me in C25K and I'm starting CLX from scratch so you might want to change it around to fit what level you are on.

Kal: I often feel the same way as you. Between school, exercising, school assignments, and attempting to have somewhat of a life, it seems like I can't get myself together. Although I have to say this week I was better because I got all my assignments done early in the week (Monday & Tuesday) which left the rest of the week open to get everything else done. I need to join that Chalene To-Do list challenge.

Becky: Ugh! I hate sinus infections. They are horrible! I have only gotten one since moving to Florida. When I lived in New Jersey, I would get at least two a year and I got them bad. Hope you feel better soon!

Good night!

Kal you are not a whiner - I. Know how you feel. The boys are 3 and almost 2 and I am teaching all day and lesson planning at night and the house is a mess, but I have other priorities!

Ugh I have another sinus cold and have been binging on easter candy all week. Thisweekend I am doing clean smoothies and juice all weekend to flush some of this junk out of my system.

Taking nyquil and going to bed. :)

It is finally sunny and warm here. I went outside and did W5D1 of C25K. It was tough but I made it through the runs without walking. I'm dreading the next 2 days of this week. One day is to 8 min runs and the third is 20 min running no walking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I might have to start back at day 1 when I have a chance to run again because next week is going to be a bad workout week. I'm having a garage sale on Sat so my week is going to be setting up and getting ready for that. Plus other errands I have to do. Oh well it's only one week I can get through it : )

Kal- I know what you mean I never feel like I am on top of things but always behind. It's hard finding a balance between everything. Right now I workout in the mornings after I take the kids to school in a month they will be out for summer vacation which I am SO ready for, but I'm going to have to do more juggling to find time to workout.

Earin- I hate storms too. They make me very nervous for some reason, and the storm season has only begun. We are very blessed to have had no storms yet. Unlike all of the severe ones that have been happening around the country.

Have a great Fri and weekend : )

On the Turbofire, I went ahead and go it and am paying by the month for like five or six months....I'm glad I did even though it's not the best way to pay for it.

I am so far behind on everything. Can't believe it's already the end of the month, time to begin Chalene Organizing again and I'm already feeling so behind. Phooey.

I've already rocked a ton of strength training from the BLC TNT challenge today and just under two hours on my spiin bike.

We have 2.5 acres and a huge house and the dog and it's just a lot. I have multiple doctors appts. every week and Tori and Brian and I don't know how women who work and have littles do it quite honestly. I'm just frazzled always. And Brian is very type A and I think he notices things are getting behind with me working out so much. Maybe it's just in my mind but still. Tori's mid week 4H is and hour there an hour back and two hours so that's one night shot. Monday nights 40 minutes each way to Tori's counseling. Thursdays she has tutoring. Saturdays she has 4H. Sundays an hour each way for her horse. Am I just a serous whiner? ;/

I just WANT to be on top of things and can't seem to get there. I think the answer is cutting out all "me" computer time and that is all I really have for me. Yep, I'm a whiner huh?

Hugs, Me

AHHH it is storming right now, and the lights keep flickering. Wow I hate storms. Watching all the horrible devastation in Alabama and even some in VA did not help my crazy fear of storms. I cannot express how much they terrify me, and I have no idea why. I know I have told you all that before though. I am going to make this shorter than normal b/c I am afraid the power is going to go out.

Dani- I am feeling a little better. Some days (like today) even I cannot drag myself out of bed, but then I am so angry at myself the rest of the day. I figure it is worth it just to get up.

Audrey- I'd love to see the hybrid you created. I have been doing CLX, treadmill, and C25K plus just started TurboFire.

Kal- Maybe I have been burning too many calories lately. I have been consistently burning between 3000-3300 a week for probably the last month at least. I also am almost always very close to the low end of my calorie range. I definitely don't want to burn away the muscle I have gained.

Mina- You sure are a BUSY woman! Your job sounds interesting though despite all the deadlines and hecticness (spelling??)

Becky- glad to see you back on the boards with us.

I'm feeling better than last night- the nausea is gone. I am sooooooooooooo sore though. My back is killing me from my workouts yesterday I am guessing. Actually it was hurting so much this morning I took a pain pill at work. There was absolutely no way I could workout today, so despite not wanting to I had to skip today. I am thinking HIIT15 in the morning and then probably going to yoga at the gym. This weekend is the Nascar race in Richmond, so I think I may not be working on Saturday either. We like to go and tailgate ALL day- I am not a huge race fan, but I love the atmosphere. It's one of my favorite events of the year, and it is suppose to be sunny and 77. I actually graduated with and used to ride to school with one of the drivers- Denny Hamlin. It is crazy to think I know someone who is now a millionaire and well-known across the country. Hope everyone had a great week... and only one day until the weekend... woohoo!!!

Hey there Dailips!

I have been feeling pretty blah the past couple of days and I just realized it has to do with TOM since I just got it today. I am still feeling sore from my Turbo Fire workout on Tuesday but I'm still going to get an easy run done to get some blood flowing into those muscles and flush out the lactic acid. I'm also going to work on my May workout calendar. I think I'm going to go back to my Turbo Fire, CLX, running, and elliptical hybrid program that I created for myself a while back. I was losing tons of inches and burning calories and fat like I was on FIYAH but then I stopped doing it and everything went downhill. I'm even going to take my bands and DVD's with me when I go home to visit. At least I'll have the house to myself during the day so I can get my workouts in.

I'm a little afraid of running outdoors while I'm in New Jersey because the pollen is really bad up there and when I used to live there it was a nightmare to run outside. It triggers my asthma and then I have to carry an emergency inhaler with me everywhere. I swear it's the weirdest thing. I don't suffer from asthma on a regular basis; only in the springtime because the pollen triggers it. I used to also get it when I first started running and the doctor told me it was exercise induced. After moving to Florida, I have no issues with allergies or asthma.
If it gets bad then I guess I can run in the garage on the crappy old treadmill my parents have there. Although I think I'd rather risk the asthma then stare at a wall for 30 minutes!

Kal: No I haven't quit the BLC team. I realized that I don't have to be best friends with everyone on the team. There are a few people that I interact with and that's fine. The challenge is helping me with consistency and that's all I'm really there for as well as the motivation. I'll just change to another team next round.

Mina: Girl, you are just busy, busy, busy! Don't forget to take time out for yourself though!

Dani: I've been on Week 4 for almost 2 weeks or more. I was finally able to run a full 5 minute interval outdoors. I'm making progress! I'm thinking of signing up for a few 5K's in May to challenge myself a little more. I'm almost running 3 miles anyways when I'm doing Week 4 so I think I'm ready for it. I'm still going to complete C25K though.

Ok well I'm off to relax and read for a little bit. I have like 3 or 4 months worth of magazines to catch up on. I hate PMS!

I went for a walk again this morning. I feel a little light headed but A LOT better then yesterday. Not much else going on here. My eating has been better today but still room for improvement but the sun is finally shining. Oh how I missed the sun, but I think it's suppose to rain again on Sat but hopefully just early morning like they said so it doesn't mess up our outside plans : )

Earin- Hope you are feeling better. You are doing awesome I wish I could make myself workout as much as you. I always tell myself I'm going to get up early and workout but then I stay in bed. I know I could do more if I would just get up in the morning.

Audrey- Turbo Fire sounds awesome! I wish I knew someone who had it so I could barrow it. It's a little to spendy for me right now : ( I'm going to start week 5 tomorrow. This could be interesting : )

Kal- Hope you have a great day and get everything done during your busy day

Way to go BECKY!!!

It's 1am here now. I'm still awake. Waiting for designer to finish layouts for me to check. I dug up some old Brian Tracy stuff and will hunker down to listen and take notes.

Hello Dailipitas!

I think I came up with that name because I was watching Bobby Flay make carnitas on Iron Chef.

Anyhoo... I had such a busy day today. I've been talking to people on the phone and/or email nonstop since 9am. I haven't even worked out and I have tracked my food in days. My weight on my digi scale has been slowly going up by a fraction of a pound everyday so I know i have to get back on track. I haven't strayed from my diet, but I think I'm eating more than usual and I supposed the stress is getting to me.

I spent the early morning watching the Chalene Johnson/Brian Tracy Ustream so that helped to calm me down a bit. But I'll probably be pulling a late nighter tonight to get this booklet done. Then have a 7am meeting before my 9am meeting tomorrow. Then running around town borrowing samples, because I forgot Monday is a holiday here, so I have to pick up the samples tomorrow or else. But there will loads of store pulls on Monday and Tuesday. Where are interns when you need them??

I will never schedule three shoots one after the other again. I have two on Tuesday and one more elaborate one on Wednesday. And I don't have a car next week since Hubby is using it. So I'm schlepping it. Ugh. I may just cave and rent a car to spare me the trouble, but we'll see.

I have to get back to work now and finish editing this booklet so my designer can finish the changes. Then maybe I'll take a workout break. WHATTA DAY!

Dang Dailipitas, I feel like a slug compared to you younguns. Haven't heard from Becky in days; goodness knows what foolishness she's going to challenge us with next and I'm still trying to keep up with the hybrid combos on the table NOW! ;)

Still raining here in MI. I can SEE signs of spring. I can FEEL signs of spring in allergies but otherwise, the vote is still out.

Today I start the bee pollen and chia seeds in my breakfast per Tosca Reno's Eat Clean Diet (hey that's the book I didn't think it was good to say the "D" word anymore). -- The Fabulous Fit 28 Day Challenge is all about eating clean which I pretty much do anyway cept for the coffee thing and don't tell k? Let that be our Dailip Dirty little secret. If it's a deal breaker, so be it.

Audrey, did you ditch your BLC16? I'm still hangin for now.

Looks like Kalyani is computer shopping.

Becky you just let me know if I need to come and kick some roomie bohiney cuz I am a former Marine and I will give him the what for like he's never gotten the what for before.

Mina, all work and no play makes ever so organized and Type A Mina a hunted down Dailip cuz humor is not HMK's "thing" doncha know.

OK ladies almost time to hit the deck and it's only 0518. Was awakened by a huge crack of thunder and it's a busy day today.

Hugs Dailipitas!

Bring it!

Yesterday I did a 45 minute Turbo Fire workout and I woke up feeling sore in places that I didn't know could even get sore! I took the day off because my calves were very sore so I wasn't going to go run and make it worse. Not sure if I'll be running outdoors or at the gym tomorrow. It depends on what time I decide to work out. We shall see!

Earin and Dani: Hope you both feel better!

Mina: Mom's cooking is always delicious! I am a Type A also so I completely understand what you mean when you say the men in our lives are messy. I cleaned my apartment the day before John came over and after he left I felt like I had to clean all over again. He left his stuff everywhere in the bathroom so I had to put it all away and sweep the floor. Things have to be cleaned my way too! Lol

Well off to get ready for bed!

Night!

I'm not feeling good so this will be short. I borrowed turbo fire from a friend so this morning I did fire 30, stretch 10, and lean circuit 3. Yes im crazy! I didn't feel like I burned enough calories so after work I ran four miles on the treadmill. Came home and relaxed and started feeling really nauseous. Been laying in bed since 6.

Hope everyone else had a good day!

Today I went for a walk and when I got home I was going to do CLX but on my walk I got so dizzy. I think it's because I took my dog with me (82 pound Golden Retriever) and he was getting tangled up around me so I spun around to get untangled. I called my Dr and she said it could last a couple of days. Ughhh it's getting better just annoying. I think I'll just lay down for awhile I'm sure that will help. Then tomorrow I'll walk again and Fri start Week 5 of C25k I'm nervous about the upcoming weeks I have a hard enough time with just a 5 min run...lol

Kal- Way to go on the 7 pound loss that is awesome and no I'm not pregnant : ) but that's an interesting dream...lol

Earin- Awesome job on getting all of your projects done. I'm a procrastinator too. Even with housework I put it off until the last minute. I like to have it all done before I get my son from school so I like to wait until I have maybe an hr before I have to get him...lol Oh well it all gets done somehow : )

Mina- Running is new to me (well I guess I'm on week 5 starting Fri) but so far I really enjoy it. It gives me a great sense of accomplishment when I'm done : )

I think it's time to lay down then do some laundry and dishes. Have a great Wed!!!

Bonjour DAILIPITAS (where did that come from? I really donít know, but Iím going with it)!

Mina here. The non-poster, as everyone so kindly pointed out. Ha!
You would think that being a freelancer I would have more control over my time, but for Type Aís like me, I always feel like Iím working. Ha!
Good thing we did the Chalean challenge, because Iíve been learning (albeit VERY SLOWLY) that I gotta turn off for the day and rest and recharge. Most of the time though my me time goes into cooking and working out. Plus my hubbyís BFF has been visiting, so there are two boys to clean up after and itís driving me bonkers. Not that they donít help. They do. They just donít always do it the MINA way Ė so I end up re-doing. Thatís just me being silly Ė but my little systems and quirks make me happy, so nevermind if I like to make sure that the table runner and candles are exactly at the centre of the dining table and the dishes are lined up from biggest to smallest on the rack etc.

AnyhooÖ Didnít get to work out yesterday. Sad. Itís really a CLX rest day, but I started doing the TurboFire 5-day Inferno and now I broke the streak. My tummy was so painful because I got greedy and ate a WHOLE flaxseed muffin when I know that my gassy tummy CANNOT take that much fibre in one go. Oh wellÖ
But at least Iíve been SIX WEEKS CHEAT-FREE with my eating! Yay! I donít know if I ever told you guys, but Iím on the Atkinís. I donít really talk about it much, because some people are weird about low-carbing. I wish it was a chic or cool as saying ďIím veganĒ, but itís not. In any case, Iím due for a check-up soon and Iím hoping my insulin has gone down enough that I can get off my Metformin. That would be soooo awesome because I hate taking so many pills Ė I get gaggy after the fourth or fifth one.

Ok, better stop blabbering and start replying, because Iíve got a ton to do today and two shoots next week. CRAZY!

@CYSTER AUDS Ė Yay for cleaning house! And yay for cutting yourself some slack. We all have those days.
Iím excited for your parental units visit!! Why is it that the food is always better when parents are around?!?! Totally spot on. My Mama will be back again next week so I know that Iíll be eating good again. Haha.
Iím sure you wonít look hideous at the wedding, whatever your weight is. Remember to keep telling yourself youíre hotstuff and you work hard!
I bring my bands and videos when I travel, too. And then I just work out in my hotel room. I think Chalene has become a total habit for me, so itís hard to imagine not bringing her on my trips.
Whatís your FB? Add me add me!

@HOT MOMMA KAL Ė Iím on my second cup of coffee right now as Iím reading this post where youíre having your second cup of coffee. So funny.
And I donít know why it totally flew over my head that you signed up for the CLX/TF challenge. Happy to know that there are three of us doing it! Iím super excited! I was poring over the sked last night with Papi (Husband) by my side and he was likeÖ Thatís crazy, but good. Haha.
As for the Zumba Exhilarate, oh, itís so pretty. Iíve only been able to do three workouts Ė exhilarate (cardio), ripped and something. I tried the TurboFire Inferno and that kind of derailed the Zumba. I have to say itís definitely more challenging that the old DVDs, which is great because I was starting to feel like I wasnít burning as much with them. The production value has definitely gone up Ė can you say BIGGER BUDGET? But I really have to relearn a lot of the stuff. I hope to make more time for it in the next coming weeks, even with the TF, just because itís just so darn fun.
Ok and whatís up with this BLC Challenge thingy? I know what you mean when you say, ďDo I really need them?Ē When I first joined SP, I got all SP Team happy and joined a zillion teams. Now I only really check here and the Low-Carb Team. I feel less crazy.
And how are you doing with your iPad? Figured out the Awesome note yet? I swear I canít live without it now Ė more than ever before. I probably check it 20 times a day. Haha. And I keep adding stuff to it even the ďfunĒ stuff like: Go e-window shopping for Goal Bikini. ☺
I also added you FB, HMK. Did you accept my friend request? ☺
And why is the EX so WEIRD? My mom used to make me get up everyday at 5am because the bus would come at around 6am. And if I didnít get up, she wouldnít wake me up again, then the bus would leave me.
Yowza youíre workouts are HARDCORE HMK!!!
Didnít know you were a CELEB! Now I have to go look for Jorge Cruiseís book! ☺
And yes, will def back you up on your goal!!

@HMK & BECKY Ė For the CLX/TF Hybrid Challenge, Iím thinking of not following the Hybrid calendar that comes with the box. I feel like I need to step up my exercise (especially because I may be going on this four-day cruise at the end of May) and I was to tone as quickly as possible. So I want to do the regular calendar that starts with a HIIT cycle right away and add on the CLX workouts on Tues, Thu, Sat. Iím really going to have to MAKE TIME to get that all done, but I feel the results will be worth it. I notice that the hybrid sked starts much slower and I donít really care for the CLX cardio anyway. Haha.

@EARIN Ė Your welcome for the virtual basket! If it helps, I didnít get no basket either. Weíre basketless.
The last time I posted was Monday morning and now itís Wednesday. Holy crap. Where is the week going??? So much shizzz to do. Being a busy freelancer is a good problem, but maaaaan.
YAY for procrastination!! As you can tell from this long ass message that Iím MAJORLY PROCRASTINATING TOO. Iíd better wrap up soon because man, Iíve got to get SHIZ DONE. Haha. The irony is I have TWO books on procrastination right next to me. Iím trying to work on it, because procrastination is NOT a good quality for a writer/editor. Haha.
Oh and Iím on the last week of Push, so that must mean you must be wrapping up your LEAN?!?! Howís it going??? RESULTS?

@HMK, BABY GUNS, BECKY BOO, MINAMIN = The Basket-less Babes. BOO YEAH!

@BECKY Ė Holy cow Becky, I totally need newer sports bras. My BaZonGas are giving me grief with the whole TF thing. Iíve lost 3inches off my boobs since I started this whole thing (but only an inch on each thighÖ GO FIGURE!), so my deflated twins (D1 and D2) need better support. Better put that on my to do list before I forget. Itís just so hard to do all the jumping when youíre bouncing. And do you live in a house or apartment Ė I wonder if the neighbors downstairs can hear me jumping. Haha. Sometimes I worry about that, but I love that I can jump now.
I also propose that we post before and after pics. SCARY. Why did I say that?!?! I take it back. Hahaha. But Iíd really love to see your results. Not sure about sharing with the whole of SP. Haha.

@DANI Ė Iím so in awe of your walk/jog thing! I totally am a sucky jogger. I hope to try that someday, but for now Iím just glad to be moving. Haha.
Hope you had fun at the amusement park! I love theme parks. We have a Universal here. And the Singapore Zoo is pretty awesome. In fact, I think I shall make that a reward for one of my weight loss targets.

@KALYANI Ė Hope your laptop feels better! Howís your Insanity going? Iím actually thinking of doing a round of Insanity after our CLX/TF round. But one thing at a time. ☺

@EVERYONE Ė Are any of you still doing the Chalene 30 Day Challenge? Can you believe itís almost over? I think it was pretty ok for like a beginner self-help program. And sheís very engaging. I liked the whole email/video thing. Usually, I just read books or listen to audio programs, so I liked that this was a little more ďinteractiveĒ. And did you gals see her HOUSE!?!? Yowza. I put ďPlan my dream houseĒ in the someday folder of my To-Do list.

Hey everyone!

I'm so tired tonight! I think it has to do with the fact that I didn't get a good night's sleep yesterday and then I did 45 minutes of Turbo Fire today plus went to a "meet the employer" event at school today plus ran some errands. I guess that would tired me out. Ha ha! The human resources and volunteer coordinator for a non-profit organization called Covenant House came to the school today to talk about possible employment/volunteer opportunities. Covenant House basically works with homeless, runaway, and abandoned children/adolescents. They have a ton of programs to help these kids out. I worked for an organization extremely similar to this in New Jersey so the lady said to email her so she could send me a list of full-time or per diem positions that are available. I told her I can't really do per diem because I need a stable job and she said that some of the per diem positions are basically done every day so it's just like having a full time job except they don't call it that. If I can't get a job through them then I'll volunteer there just for the experience and because I really enjoy working in that environment. Also, it's good for my resume.

Earin: Glad to hear you got all your work done. I still have one more discussion question to do which I'm going to finish as soon as I'm done on Spark.

As far as the ghost hunting thing, John and I have gone to Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia and to the West Virginia Penitentiary on ghost hunts. We got some really awesome EVP's (electronic voice phenomena) where we could actually hear someone/something answering my questions or responding to things I was saying. For example, I said that I wanted to lay down on one of the beds in the cells in death row but they were very dirty and dusty so I wasn't going to do it and all of a sudden you can hear a voice say "How dare she!" on the recorder. In the psychiatric wing, I was asking a lot of questions about procedures that were done to them and you can clearly hear someone scream "Heeeeellllllp!" Very cool! We're hoping to go to the Trans-Alleghany Insane Asylum sometime in the future but that's in Ohio so we're not sure when we'll get around to going.

Kal: Congrats on losing 7 pounds! That's awesome!

Dani: Wow, you rocked Week 4! I'm still working on it!

Kalyani: Wow, you are also a warrior! I previewed the first workout for P90X and decided to go back to CLX because I know I wouldn't be able to do all those push-ups. Rock on! Hope you get the laptop fixed soon!

Alrighty well off to finish this last discussion question for class so I can have a full day off tomorrow for some "Audrey" bonding time.

Night!

Projects done. Post observation also finished. Feels good to have both of those checked off my list. I also went to Target and got Lexi's Easter basket stuff- I know I'm late, but she was with her dad for Easter so I figured why not save some money by getting it all for 50% off :-) My scheduled work out today was Burn Intervals and Abs, but instead I ran intervals for 30 minutes and then went to 6 am yoga class. It was way too hot when I got home to do it, so I may just skip it or at least postpone it this week. Not sure what my plan for tomorrow is- possibly a run or few miles on the elliptical along with Lean Circuit 3.

Kal- I'm sorry to hear about Tori's mom, but glad she is in a stable household with you and her dad. I got fried when I sat outside on Easter to read a book; surprisingly my sunburn is still there. Yoga was tough this morning because my tank kept rubbing my burnt shoulder. Congrats on the 7 pounds!! 10 in a month would definitely be impressive!!

Audrey- Did you get your discussion questions done? I got my projects done and felt so much better when they were emailed to the instructor. One less thing to worry about- although guess I wasn't worried that much since I completely forgot it. Ghost hunters? Have you ever seen a ghost? Congrats on making it through three of the four running intervals!!! It definitely gives such a sense of accomplishment.

Kalyani- Welcome back (again)! Sorry that you are having so many computer problems- that definitely makes life difficult. Maybe it needs a new battery? Or maybe part of the inside is still wet? Way to go on making it through your first week of P90X and running. My photo on here was from Halloween- I don't think I had make up on, and I definitely had my hair in pigtails lol. My facebook picture is from the end of the summer when we went out for a girlfriend's birthday.

Dani- We missed you! Glad to have you back. Good job finishing week 4 of C25K. I have one run left of week 9, but I just haven't sucked it up and got it done. I find that I have a harder time running outside; although, I only really have run outside during my bootcamp class two weeks ago. The pollen is so bad around here I think it has something to do with why I have such a hard time breathing outdoors. The treadmill is definitely BORING though- I watch the clock even as I read or listen to music.

Mina- I miss your funny posts. Where are you? You can't still be eating your breakfast and getting your coffee from Sunday :-)

Dani, I had a dream you are pregnant....you aren't are you?

Where is Mina?!*

Audrey, I just did six miles for the last chance workout and I am off to do 10 on the bike. I'm thinking I want to get up early in the morning and do a TurboFire workout before my WW workout. I would LOVE to get my 10# ribbon tomorrow at my 1 month weigh-in but I will most likely JUST miss it. I have lost 7 so far as of last week and it's really a bit much to think I'll lost 3 this week.

I am seeing my sisters for the first time in almost 3 years in October and I want to be back at WW lifetime goal when I do and I am also going back to San Diego the following week and I was too embarrassed this past October when we went to even go to my gym and see my coach and I want to rectify that this time and weigh less than when I left. 20# less AND have my guns back! That means I have a goal to lose 30# to lifetime goal for WW which between now and October is VERY doable. If I lose 8-10 a month, I could even be less! Help me keep at it please! In FACT, I am in one of Jorge Cruise' books The 12 Second Sequence and if I get down to that weight it will be a bit less than when I finished that program and I'll sashay right on into his office in Mission Bay and get a picture with him looking better than ever! Dear God my before picture in THAT book at my Daddy's funeral is wordlessly horrible.

Hi everyone. Sorry I have been MIA so much lately. We were out of town all weekend, and yesterday the day got away from me. I have just had no energy and was tired all last week. I only worked out one day. This week I'm going to do better. I didn't workout yesterday, but today I did W4D3 of C25K. I'm so excited to have finished this week. Now on for week 5 this one could be VERY interesting....lol But I'll do it. Hopefully this week is nice so I can get outside to walk/run. Today is rainy so I had to run on the TM not bad but the time just goes faster outside. Other then that not much has been going on. Tonight we are going to go get our season passes for a local amusement park I'm very excited. That's an awesome way to get in a little exercise and have fun with the family as well : )

Oh Boy! here i am back again.... Before my laptop dies, here is my story. Since my DD poured a nice glass of water on my laptop, its been acting weird. It on's and off's on its own... I am right now on its mercy... I hope it stays on till I finish typing here... Well, My workouts are going quiet well, Just finished P90X week 1 and running Week 1. Week 2 starts tomorrow... I feel very good.... My food intake has been very good except today... I ate junk .. a lot of it .. and blamed it on PMS. hehehehehe

Well, How is everyone doing?
@Kal I cannot thank you enough for stopping by my page and urging me to come back. I actually want to be back... My laptop is the problem... I see your comments on my iphone and try to reply but at the end I still wait for my laptop. How are your workouts going? How many pounds did you lose this month?

@Earin... OMG you look so different from your profile photo here... I just checked you on FB. I am not on FB... Very unlike me but never got a chance to get on it. How are you doing dear
@audrey... I have been waking up really stuffed and with sore throat for past 4-5 days... it feels better during the day but again the same when i wake up each morning.. Not sure what it is... Well, we will get better...Congratulations for being engaged ... You are right... getting into marriage only after things settle down is better...WOW, you are a ghost hunter... I freak out listening to the word ghosts... I am a scary cat in this matter :-)

Hello to everyone else... My laptop is still going... wow i will log my nutrition and exercise for today atleast... havent done it for a week now...

Hi there!

This morning I woke up with a runny nose and a little bit of a sore throat. It wasn't hurting too much but it was still a little bothersome. I took it easy in the morning and by mid-afternoon I felt much better. I went to the park with my brother and did C25K. I ran the first 3 minute interval and half of the 5 minute interval. Then I ran the whole second 3 minute interval and I was able to run the entire second 5 minute interval! My heart rate monitor said my HR was at 185 but I kept pushing because I didn't want to quit. When I heard the 1 minute left announcement, I just kept repeating my mantras and it really helped me push through. It was so exciting to be able to run 5 minutes straight without stopping OUTSIDE. I have struggled so much and finally I was able to do it. I'm going to use this as motivation to do it again on Wednesday.

Today I read an article on Spark about tips for losing weight for brides. I'm not planning on getting married any time soon even though I have been engaged for 3 years. Yeah, you read it correctly....3 years. I don't believe in rushing into marriage just because John gave me a ring. He doesn't have a stable job and he's in the process of applying to the law enforcement academy. Also, I knew I wanted to return to grad school and possibly going on to the doctoral program. I worked full time while I went to school in New Jersey but we wouldn't have been able to afford to live together anyways. We tried to live together before and it didn't work out financially so I don't want to make the same mistake again. It's just a bad time to even consider getting married. Once we are stable (at least if John's in the academy and gets offered a job) then I'll set a date. Anyways, the article just stated the same things that we should be doing on a daily basis such as smart snacking, tracking our calories, staying hydrated, and work out consistently. They also mentioned to track every bite of the food you sample for the wedding, even a spoonful of soup. Sorry to tell them that I'm not that ridiculous to track a spoon of soup! However, I would track if I ate an entire piece of cake. Isn't the tasting one of the fun parts of wedding planning? I mean, I don't want to serve crappy food at my wedding! Lol

Kal: Yes I am definitely a Type A! I love the whole sushi idea. I'm not that big on Easter so that would have been a great dinner theme for me! The other challenge team I have been a part of for a long time is The Challenge of Harry Potter. Those girls are like family now. I have been on that team for over a year and I'm in the Hufflepuff house. Oh by the way I am seriously considering dropping my BLC team. I can do it without them. I don't need anyone pressuring me to do anything I don't want to do. I'm not in high school anymore. I work out when I feel like working out and if I can't work out 5 days a week then I won't and that's it.

Becky: I'm going to have to try out the Tabata. Sounds intense and right up my alley! Is there a video or you just make up your own routine?

Earin: I guess we both work better under pressure because I am a major procrastinator. I'm really trying to work on that (as we speak I should be working on my discussion questions yet I am here posting) and I know it will take a lot of work but I will do it. Hopefully I'll get to work after I watch Paranormal State. I love anything having to do with ghosts and/or the paranormal. John and I are actually amateur "ghost hunters". I'll save that story for another time!

Well off to do the dishes before my show begins!

Night!

Earin, Tori's Mom has mental issues which is just one of the reasons why we have custody of her when in the state of CA just about the only other time that's ever happened that anyone knows of is Brittney Spears losing hers (true story).

You better get busy on those papers Sista. And how did you get burned today?!*

Where is everyone?

Mina?

Becky? Did you kick some lazy roomie's bohiney?

Kalyani?

Dani? How was your Easter?

Audrey are you and John still celebrating or are you playing catchup cuz you did all weekend? :)

I'm going looking for Kalyani now.....I hope no one spilled anyone on that poor laptop again.

So I am majorly procrastinating right now (again, I know...) I had two projects due for a Tools for Teaching Classroom Management professional development course I was taking. They were due April 15, and somehow I completely forgot to do either one. I emailed the instructor asking if I could still turn them in, and she said yes but by Wednesday! Needless to say I hadn't even started until about 30 minutes ago. WHOOPS! And what am I doing instead of just getting it done- playing on facebook and spark people. O well! I guess I work well under pressure or at least I get it done. Today was my first day back at school and thank goodness my kids were better other than one of my "favorite" boys saying f*** you to a sweet, innocent girl. Nice!

My workout today was 65 minutes on the elliptical this morning, and then Lean Circuit 2 when I got home from work. It is 90 in Virginia, and doing CLX was miserable. I was dripping sweat from every pore on my body. (Sorry for the visualization) I immediately had to shower because I was NASTY. The plan for tomorrow is Burn Intervals, Abs, and then possibly 6AM yogaflex class at the gym.

Kal- you are just having some rough days lately. Your hot hubby should owe you one after you had to drive to every dry cleaners in town. Where is he headed? For how long? I cannot believe a mom would blame the world for school starting so early. I mean what does she want school to go until 7:00 every night. They'd get a lot accomplished then. UGH!!!

Good Monday Dailips - I was fixin' to come looking for you Becky! Glad to see you and glad to see someone else vent! That said, I had a lovely Easter. I posted on my facebook -- do we all have facebook pages? I don't have any of yours. Wait; Becky; do I have yours. Sheesh; I'm a loser and to think I'm supposed to be almost done with this month of Chalene. OY!

LATE last night Brian says he thinks he's missing a uniform he needs for his trip this week. K....late on Easter he says this before he leaves to go out of the country TODAY?!* So after getting Tween off to school which is the most insane thing you can imagine because her real Mom tells her that she's not a morning person and shouldn't HAVE to get up just because the world is f'd up and has school start earlier than she and her Mom's cycle. SERIOUSLY?!* I have battled this for 4 1/2 YEARS and have all of high school remaining. Dear God/Buddha/Allah save my sanity PLEASE. Oh...back to the morning. I load Tori up to drop at school when she misses bus and only because I'm afraid to make her walk because her tummy is upset because of another issue and go driving around town to every dry cleaner because he has no idea WHERE the MIA Marine Corps uniform/s are!!!!!! I found them BTW. He dropped them off near my drug store in DECEMBER. Breathe in. Breathe out.

Haven't checked in with my loser BLC group yet. Only real reason I am/will is because if you don't stay active you are disqualified for three rounds which is a year and a half and I might NEED them (do I really get anything out of it and are there other groups where I might get just as much so do I care?!*)

Becky, tell SSI boy you are not a welfare home and he lives there and you aren't his personal maid. Make a chore list and post it!

Anyone else have any issues I can help with since my own life is such a stellar example of organization?

Okay - I don't know what the heck happened, but somehow I must have deleted an email without reading the thread... anyway, I got unsubscribed and realized I have missed like three days! So quick - need to go make dinner and do some lesson planning and job applying...

@Kal - Tabata Training is basically interval training but even more intense than the TurboFire HIIT workouts - think HIIT that don't stop. It is 20 second "balls to the wall" 10 second rest for 4-60 minutes. The burn is absolutely ridiculous - like I burn about 500 for a 30 minute TF workout (I know, insane, one of the benefits of being taller and heavier is any movement produces massive calorie burn) and I can burn 250 calories in 10 minutes doing tabata training. I do squats, burpees, high knees, fast feet, push-ups, curls, deadlifts, jumping jacks, extensions, crunches... I hit every body part I can think of and hit it hard. And in the 1.5 weeks I have been doing it the changes have been intense. Already I have made muscle popping and what not. Plus it is easy to convince myself to go and do an extra 10 minute workout.

@Kal part II - Okay, reread one of your posts from a day or two ago... I know how you feel! So my roommate (and have I mentioned how much I hate having a roommate) says - "yeah, I have been making my own stuff because the kitchen is such a mess I don't want to touch the counters". Um, WTF do you do all day dude? Nothing except play video games in your room, come down, make yourself something to eat, and then leave it for me to clean up. He says that he "leaves it how he finds it" so if it is dirty when he goes to use it, he leaves it dirty. But doesn't take into account all the d@mn cleaning I do when I make meals for everyone - him included - and the fact that I am the only one in the house with anything close to an f'in job. I actually have sh!t to do every day and it always includes preparing all the meals, taking care of the kids (virtually alone) AND working and trying to do my own school work, lessons, exercise and every d@mn thing else! The roomie is also "disabled" and getting SSI for his, hmm, umm, asthma and mental problems - maybe there is something more, but I don't know what it is. And he is kind of an f'd up individual and he makes me really uncomfortable. The hubby has known him for years and is good friends with the guy, but I don't like him. It is one of the reasons I am so desperately looking for jobs outside of NY - the roomie would stay here and basically "keep" our house for us so we could come back to it if a job opportunity opens up here. He bugs me so much!

And in the 11 years the hubby and I have been together I have gotten 1 valentine, 2 Christmas presents, and 1 birthday/anniversary present (it was combined because we got married on my birthday). No cards, nothing for Mother's day or anything else and the 2 Christmas presents I basically bought for myself with his money. Granted our finances have SUCKED 9 out of 11 years, but still - I was able to find the money and time to get him stuff... anyway, not worth getting upset about, it is not like he is going to change.

@Earin - totally with you and the procrastinating on the lesson planning. I am starting to take over half the classes my sponsor teacher does this week and have not really done any planning this weekend. Have to do some now!

@Mina - Woo Woo just a few more days to go before we start our hybrid! You me and Hot Mama Kal, the three amigas! And yeah, even without the gifts I had before nursing (I swear the boys sucked all the life out of my tatas) I still need to double up on my sports bras when I do TF.

@everyone else - Hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend!

Just wanted to check in with everyone really quickly (honestly!!!). I am suppose to be doing lesson plans (yes I have been majorly procrastinated considering I go back to work tomorrow... boohoo) I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! Thank you for the virtual basket Mina since that is the only Easter present or basket I got this year. But that's okay- I had a nice breakfast with my family- parents, brother, sisters, and boyfriend. I then came home and got some SUN- I am actually quite red after my two hours in the sunshine. I just did Lean Circuit 1 and showered and am now "ready" to do some schoolwork. (Not really)... I will try to check back in later if I have time.

Happy Easter Dailip Sistas! I am on my second cup of coffee! Life is good! Easter is here. Lent is over! God is good! Brian is out running. Tori is still sleeping. Their Easter baskets are at the ready. Brian went out at 6:15 last night to "do" mine. I told him not to bother and HE was offended and told me he had a plan! Shaking my head.

Audrey, you were what my family calls me pre-company or just in Type A general cleaning mode - psycho white tornado mode! I rock some Black Eyed Peas and turn to! That class and your program in general sound like they could use some organization you're right. Hope you're enjoying Easter with John! So you're going to Jersey to see your Mom? We're having a VERY non traditional Easter dinner today - SUSHI! I knew you'd smile. I'm making brunch but then sushi for later and I'm making strawberry shortcake for Brian and Tori later this evening.

Brian goes to Canada for the week tomorrow and Tori and I are on our own. I start a 28 Day clean eating challenge tomorrow.

Speaking of challenges, Mina, I think I was the first to sign up for the CLX/TF challenge that starts May 2 so we are three amigas (is that right) rockin' it and yes, I/we ARE crazy! I have to modify a lot of the TF.

So tell us about your new Zumba. I so want ONE of the CDs more than the rest. Wish you could buy them one at a time or singly. So dish sista.

Lovely you had two days with your Mom AND get a second visit soon with a wonderful night out! You spoiled girl!

This is home base here at sparks and I am not going to let the BLC challenge get me down nor am I going to "fail" because then I'm screwed to join in again for three sessions because of their system which is like a year and a half or something so I'll just play the game to the minimum and look for another team next time. Audrey what is the other team you mentioned you like; it's not a BLC team? I get VERY confused about all the teams!

OK ladies, off into this glorious caffeinated Easter! Hugs to all my Dailip Sistas!

Good evening!

Yesterday was such a busy day for me! I didn't have time to stop by the boards. I cleaned the entire apartment, washed all the rugs and carpets, did some school work, and went to the gym. I guess I was more tired than I felt because I tried to do my C25K workout and my legs felt really heavy. I made it through one 3 minute interval and then through half of the 5 minute interval. I had to take a 5 minute walking break just to give my shins a break. Then I was able to run through the second 3 and 5 minute intervals but I didn't feel comfortable. That's the best way I can describe it. I tried to go on the elliptical for 30 minutes but after 15 I called it quits. I just wasn't feeling it. I took today off just to give my body extra rest because apparently it needs it.

Kal: I'm glad you let that out! At least we know where our real home is. That really sucks that the team leader wouldn't answer your questions about the challenge. That makes no sense considering that you have to participate in order to help out the team and if you don't understand something then how will you contribute? After this round I will see if I can get placed on another team, if not then I'm out!

Earin: I got one final done but my research one has been pushed back to May 1st! Woohoo! Now I can focus on my online class for which I have 3 discussion questions due. I did 2 of them today and plan on doing the last one tomorrow. I feel like such a slacker but I didn't get my book until Thursday because the secretary sent the syllabus out 3 days before the class started! First of all they told us that the class wouldn't start on April 18th. It would start on May 15th then it turns out that it actually started April 18th so the syllabus never got sent out. When they realized they made a mistake then they sent it out. Too late to get the book on time! The weird part is that financial aid doesn't come in until May so we are taking this class without paying for it. I really don't get it! My program needs to get their act together.
Woohoo!!! for getting your calories burn for the week! I'm working on mine!

Mina: I get to see my parents in about 2 weeks and I know I will be indulging in my Momma's cooking and all the things from New Jersey that I don't get here in Florida. This includes eating GOOD sushi and going to all my favorite spots. I'm going to have to keep myself in control or else I will be a bloated blimp for John's sisters wedding. I don't want to look hideous in the wedding photos. I think that might be what keeps me from gaining 10 pounds. Ha ha! I do plan on bringing my workout bands and videos as well as running at the park and on the trails in order to keep up with my exercising and counterbalancing the calories. I'll look like this if I don't.... emoticon

Alrighty, John is here to visit for the night so I have to go let him into the building. Talk to you chickies tomorrow!

Good morning my LOVELY Dailip Sisters!!! Easter Bunny Mina is here to spread cheer and love and hugs!!!!

My Mama ended staying an extra day and I was so happy to spend my QT with her. We just hung out and talked and talked. We went browsing at bookstores and went aisle by aisles Ė yes, we are geeks. We had lots of coffee and healthy snacks (not like our usual junkfood binges). Oh, itís so nice to have a Mama. And Mamas always smells so good! Haha. But sheíll be back the week after next, so I donít have to miss her too much this time around. And weíre going to watch The Lion King musical at Singaporeís Marina Bay Sands. Woohoo! Free tickets for me!

@EARIN & HOT MOMMA KAL Ė Iím sending you virtual Easter baskets because I love giving stuff, too! ☺ They come with free hugs and smiles. ☺

@BABY GUNS Ė Yowza, youíre a machine, WOMAN! You so inspire me to workout every time I log into SP, because youíre consistency is amazing and truly Virgo-ish! I LOVE IT!
Yay for Outback! Oh and FriesÖ I miss fries. Itís the one thing thatís super hard to substitute on a low-carb diet. But I miss them more in my head than anything else Ė if you get what I mean. I think my body is happy the way it is now, rather than before when all I did was eat junk. Ha!

@HOT MOMMA KAL Ė Ooh, you go girl! Let it out! Punch a pillow! Break a plate. Sometimes we all need to let that out. And when the rant is over, donít you feel so much better?! ☺ Iím glad we were here to be your ears and shoulders. MORE HUGS FOR and EXTRA VIRTUAL EASTER BASKETS FOR YOU!!!
I started doing the TurboFire 5 Day Inferno yesterday!! HOHMYGOD! I thought it would be a good prep for Becky and My May 2 CLX/TF challenge and I didnít expect it to be THAT fast. My first workout was the Fire 55 EZ class (right after I did the Push Circuit 3) and I didnít think I could get through it but I did. AH-MAY-ZING!!! I love it. Today, Iím doing Fire 45, but I want to do Zumba, too. Hehe.

@AUDREY - I so know what you mean about meds and timing. I keep mine in one of the Mon, Tues, Wed, etc containers and I set alarms on my phone and include in my to-do list otherwise I always forget. And theyíre so many of them! Ha! Iím sure the alarms help and I hope you feel better soon. HUGS FOR YOU!

@DANI Ė I love productive days toooooo! Theyíre the best! Donít you feel like a SUPERWOMAN!?!?
Iím inspired by you and plan to ATTACK my TO-DO list tom!!!

@BECKY Ė Ahhhhh 5 day infernoooooo!!! I started it more because I just wanted a taste of TF more than wanting to see dramatic 5 day results (but that would be great too). Iíve never done anything so fast paced! I wasnít perfect by far, but Iím surprised I was able to keep up. I think all the Turbo Jamming helped after all. And I felt so accomplished after Ė especially since Iíd never sweated sooo much everrr. I had to modify some stuff (like some of the high-low jumps) and I definitely need to wear BETTER SUPPORT because even my boobs are sore. Ha. My arms are sore. My legs are sore. Didnít help that I did it after a Push Circuit 3 where I upped my normal 8lb weight to 10lbs and 12lbs. YOWZA. But Iím soooooo stoked for the real deal on May 2. My God you were sooooo right.

Some people train for marathons, but Iím training for Chalene Johnson!!! Hahaha! Chalean Extreme/TURBO FIRE here I come!

Where is everyone else?? Getting ready for Easter? Yesterday I did CLX Burn It Off, Recharge, and Extreme Abs first thing in the morning. I then took Lexi to the circus... the real deal... Ringling "Expensive A$$" Brothers. We had such a good time, and it was even better b/c my bf paid for ALL of it- tickets, parking, and spending money for Lexi even though he didn't go with us. I then took my daughter to her dad and came home for a low key weekend. My bf took me out to dinner last night, and for some reason I chose Outback. (I wanted P.F. Chang, but it was raining, and it's at least 30 minutes away. Outback was not the healthiest choice, but it was sooo good. The only thing on the menu I eat is Alice Springs Chicken- I had every intention of eating only half, but my bf was taking so long to eat that I ate the whole thing. I did substitute mash potatoes for fries because of Lent, but will be so happy tomorrow when I can have fries again.

I was worried all week I wouldn't reach my 3300 calorie burn goal, but I did today. I got up this morning and immediately headed to the gym. I took a 60 minute pilates class, a 75 minute yoga class, and then ran for 45 minutes. I exceeded my goal for the week even without working out Sunday or Monday since I was out of town. I then enjoyed the sunshine all afternoon playing corn hole and doing gymnastics in my front yard. I know I'm not a kid anymore, but boy did it feel good to do cartwheels, front walkovers, and hand stands for at least thirty minutes.

Kal- I completely understand your frustration with the whole Easter thing. Three years ago, I did baskets for my daughter, my brother, and my boyfriend and got NOTHING in return. I also come from a family where every year I have gotten an Easter basket. My parents starting traveling for Easter three years ago, so I stopped getting baskets from them. My boyfriend is just not big into holidays. I guess Easter was never a big deal in his house. I was brought up coloring eggs, getting baskets, and having a HUGE Easter brunch. I dyed eggs with my daughter Thursday night before she went back to her dads, so at least we did that. My mom ended up staying in town two extra days and invited us over for a small breakfast tomorrow morning. It'll be nice to spend time with my family (minus my daughter- sniffle, sniffle).

Audrey- sorry you haven't been feeling well :-( Did you get all your finals done?? What are you doing on your couple weeks off before classes start again?

Audrey: I HAVE to say this because I am going to explode. I actually SAID something about feeling like I wasn't clicking and it was pointless to one of the team captains as well as the fact that I had asked direct ?'s about the challenge that were not answered when ?'s about what book you are reading or what diapers you use WERE and she said that she and the other co-captain felt that way when they were on some other team for 4 "seasons" or whatever so that is why they changed and made their own team so maybe I need to ride it out and switch teams next time to find a team I'm a better fit in. Snippy bitch! The reason they have the whole profile thing is to place you where you will fit or so I thought! WFE (and if you don't know what that means I'm not saying cuz Earin will wash my mouth out with soap).

Breathe In
Breathe out.

Where's Becky?
Kalyani?

And while I'm on the bitch train....why is it that no matter how busy I am, I made sure that I got Easter baskets/boxes etc. planned, purchased, prepared, shipped etc. and once again my husband just said to me on the phone as he heads out for an EIGHTY mile bike ride - Oh you'll have to take care of Tori today because I guess I need to get something for your Easter basket. You F'in think???? I'm sorry but this happens all the time. This last minute stuff and I HATE it. Last year was the first year in my life (yep LIFE) I had NO Easter basket. He got me a nice card (he's great at cards) saying he was taking me out underwear shopping that day - ?!* Who is THAT for ladies?!* And here in MI almost everything is closed on Easter.

Breathe in.
Breathe out.

Dani, you asked how I am since I got back from Florida? Well that was a week ago and did I say I got back to my computer crashed, my car had to be towed, the house was pretty much trashed, twelve loads of laundry needed to be done (not mine) and I know how much you appreciate a clean house?!* They did get me cards and make me a welcome home poster and I know they missed me. Tori missed the school bus twice this week and I made her walk (my car was towed). It snowed 3" on Monday.

Now just so you guys don't think WTF happened to the Kal we know and love, I started TurboFire and it's amazing. I love it. I'm working out. I'm eating well. I lost 1.2# while gone when I weighed on Wednesday at WW.

I really am thankful and glad that Easter is tomorrow and I can have coffee again because my lenten sacrifice is OVER!!!!! Thank God!

Love you guys and am so glad you are here.

Hey Dailips!

Not feeling too well today. Again, I'm having stomach pains. It's really annoying. It's my fault though because I forgot to take my antacids yesterday and I think the day before. I'm going to start setting the alarm on my phone to go off when I need to take them so I don't forget. I plan on relaxing for now but later on I'm going to do one of my finals since I'm not making it to the gym today.

Kal: I completely agree with you. I'm not clicking with my team either. I feel like I'm just mindlessly chatting with nothing substantial to say. Some people are nice but most just chat amongst themselves. Also, the whole challenge is beginning to feel like a part time job. I have had sparkmails sent to me because I didn't work out 5 days in the week. They are motivational emails, not attacking ones, but I still feel like I'm being hounded. I feel like this is home as well along with my Harry Potter Challenge team.

Mina: Enjoy the mall!

Becky: What is tabata? Keep rocking the CLX and TurboFire!

Earin: I have a foam roller that I use when my muscles are sore. It hurts while you are doing it but it feels so good after I'm done. I guess it circulates the blood to the muscles and decreases the lactic acid. They are a little on the expensive side so John made me one out of a rolling pin and it works really well! Lol

I'm off to catch up on this week's episode of Biggest Loser!

Oops I missed a day, but woowee what a day it was. I got up at 7:45 and immediately went downstairs to do Burn Intervals. My daughter woke up at 8:45 just in time for her play date at 9:00. I dropped her off at her BFFs (her words) and went to the gym for a Ball & Bar class. It is a class that uses an exercise ball and weighted bars. I LOVE the class, but it is only offered on Wednesday mornings at 9:30. Obviously during the school year, I can't make it to the class, but it's such a great workout. After I did ball and bar, I ran for 30 minutes and then went to the grocery store before I had to pick her up. I left my heart rate monitor on the whole time b/c my heart rate never went below 130 pushing that cart around and carrying those heavy @$$ bags into the house by myself. By the time it was all said and done, I was up to 1200 calories. I then decided to enjoy the 80-90 degree weather, so sat in the backyard and read for two hours. Finished the day by making brownies and homemade pizza (well semi-homemade- we bought the dough, sauce, cheese, and toppings) with the little one. The pizza was delicious!! We used whole wheat dough, and Lexi added pineapple. Definitely will be eating leftovers for lunch.

Woke up today sooooooooooooooooo sore which is kind of disappointing. My plan for today was to do Push Circuit 3 and then this afternoon go to Boot Camp again. Not sure how well that will pan out with the soreness, but we will see. Any suggestions for how to fix the soreness, so my day is not exercise free???

Kal- It is also a little dramatic in the summer but never screaming matches like that. It does get stressful with soooooo many people in one little house. We are going to Nags Head with my parents, sisters, and brother at the end of June which will be a nice change. The house is HUGE... I think it has 8 bedrooms each one with its own bathroom. My dad has been helping the owner's son do some repairs, so we got a free week to go in the summer. It has an inground pool and is walking distance from the beach. That has to be more relaxing in Chincoteague. We normally go in August every year, so I may just go for a couple days to see my grandparents and everyone.

Audrey- Enjoy your time "off" from school. Use it to relax, workout, and just breathe :-) It's definitely different running outside. I NEVER run outside, but had to last week for that boot camp class and boy was it kicking my butt. I had no idea the difference. Yes the drama at the beach house was unnecessary and uncalled for. I just can't believe people can yell and scream like that in front of kids!!!

Kalyani- Welcome back!!! Glad your laptop at least survived the spill... uh oh!! I'd be devastated if something happened to my computer. I owe too much money on this darn thing to have anything go wrong lol. I think my next workout may be P90X. I think that is the only workout I might actually be able to get my bf to do with me.

Mina- Hope your mommy visit went well!!! I am lucky enough to live less than 5 miles from my mom. Some people would think that is too close, but I LOVE it. We can go get pedicures, go shopping, out to eat, happy hour... whatever we are in the mood for.

Becky- what is tabata training??? How are the interviewing/job hunts going? I also read your blog- it was very well written. WTG!

Sorry my posts are always so long... I feel like I just have to respond to everything. Have you guys still been checking in with the Dailip/Bunny chat room?? I was bored over there.

So what is the plan now Becky - you wait on job offers - graduate program this summer? Wait and see? What is tabata training?

I got a couple of status comments from Fabiola. Guess she's just busy. She seems to be working it though.

Can't wait to hear about your marvelous shopping day with mommy Mina!!!!

Have a great Thursday all. I can't believe this week is almost over!

Welcome Home Kaylani

Sorry your other team isn't as fabulous as us Kal, and thank you for your comment on my blog the other day. That post had been running through my head for about a week or two, and I am glad I finally was able to put the words I wanted to it.

I like having a mommy too Mina, I am hoping to see mine this summer. Or maybe if I am really luck we will both get jobs in the same (or neighboring) districts in the near future.

I have been reading - sort of fly bys this week :) I am still working the CLX and Turbo Fire, but I have started trying tabata training this week. It is intense, and it is helping my bust through this plateau I have been stuck on forever!

Let's keep rocking it Dalips!

SOOOO glad to have you home Kalyani!!!!

Audrey, I am going through the BLC motions but I am not at all clicking with the girls in the group. They have mostly been together through three BLC's and very tight all very young (well so are you) and I don't know. I'm just not feeling it with ANYONE in the group so far. :::sigh:::

You guys know I have issues with health and my memory and such and there are a lot of moving parts in that challenge and I feel like I'll mess it up and forget to post on time or in the right place or something. Nope. Not loving it. Like you, I'll stick it out but this is home!

Hugs!

Hello Ladies, Here I am again... after missing a few days one more time... This time my excuse is my DD poured a whole glass of water on my DD Laptop (Dearest Darling) I just cannot believe it took almost a week to survive and we had to reinstall everythinhg.

Well, Now I am back... hopefully for good. I started my P90X yesterday and it was quiet hard. I am unable to walk for god's sake. I also started Running and I have another run today. Running all of a sudden after almost 4 years is feeling very very intense. I am almost 30lbs heavier than I was when I ran last. WOW what a difference it makes. My mind run still run a Half marathon but my body is really dying to do proper 5K. So I have decided to take it slow and go slow really and build it up just like I am starting to run all over again. P90X is quiet a workout too. I made the 2 come together and I think it is a very good combo.

I am also following my diet very strictly. Protein at every meal... and about 1500 calories/day. We will see what results we get a the end of 2 weeks.

How is everyone doing? My hello to everyone and I promise I will be here.... from now on... Unless my DD pours something else on this poor laptop.

Kalyani

So I'm finally done with the winter semester of classes. I still have to complete the finals for the classes but those I can do at home on the computer so it's virtually stress free. I did start my new class this week which is online but it's the only class I'll be taking for the next 2 weeks until my assessment class begins on the week of May 15. I feel like I can finally breathe a little easier.

I went for a run this morning with my brother and I just can't seem to be able to do those 5 minute intervals on C25K outside however I'm rocking them on the treadmill at the gym. I think I need to start running outdoors more often since it's a completely different experience. However, in the Florida heat, I'll have to do it very early in the morning or late in the afternoon. I thought I was going to get heat stroke today.

I already went grocery shopping and now I'm relaxing a bit before I go meet a friend at the gym for another workout. I think I'll go on the elliptical or just do an easy walk on the treadmill. I'm going to incorporate strength training again into my routine but I'm not sure what program to do. I have ChaLean Extreme and P90X. Any opinions or suggestions?

Kal: Honestly, I feel a little overwhelmed by the BLC 16 challenge. I've considered maybe dropping out of it but I am a "finish what you start" person so I can't do it. I think it's mostly because of all the stress with school lately that I feel that posting is the last thing on my mind. I'll get through it though. How are you doing in that challenge?

Mina: Enjoy your mommies visit!

Earin: The drama at the beach house sounds like what happens when my fiancee's family gets together. That's why I avoid their get-togethers like the plague. I got guilted into going to his sister's wedding and I have a feeling that I will need some drinks (preferrably tequila) to get through the day. There is absolutely no need for petty drama like that especially in front of young children. You did the right thing getting your little precious girl away from that. That's something else I'm afraid of. Once we have kids, I will not allow them to have the children for the summer or for any extended period of time that I am not there. They have crazy dogs and cats and I don't want my kids near that. John's nephew was bitten by the cat when his parents left him there. No thanks!

Well I'm off to get ready for my gym date! Ttyl

Hi everyone Sorry I haven't been on here as much. I don't know why I've been so tired and unmotivated this week. I haven't worked out since Sun maybe that could be part of the fatigue. Anyway tomorrow is a new day and I'm going to start the day out right. After the kiddos are at school I'm going to do W4D2 of my C25K program, and then do some cleaning, laundry you know all the fun stuff...lol but I love how I feel and how the house looks when I'm done : ) It's been a pretty quiet week here but that is how we like it : )

Forward, march! :) That's the Marine in me coming out Sista Audrey! :) Move on! We all do it. And honestly; your transgressions could have been far worse!

Earin, good thing you were there to protect the littles from the Mama Drama. Sounds like it was a good thing you got out before it blew. So is summer always like that? Maybe it's time to start your own summer memories! I know of a great site vrbo.com and you can get rentals all over. You should check them out. That's where we got the condo in Vermont when we went in January.

Today is Weigh-In for BLC 16 and my WW and I missed last week in Florida so time will tell. Honestly I stepped on the scale once since I got back and it said I gained 1#. Haven't looked since. I've eaten well since I got back. Back to exercising SOME. Started TurboFire yesterday (dear God help me). We'll see. My goal for BLC 16 is to get to 170 so I've got plenty of time. When I see my sisters in October and go to CA in October again to see my old gym mates, I would like to be back where I was when we got here. Last October I was too ashamed to go and see Coach Berry. Again, plenty of time. I don't feel like I'm getting enough strength training in my workouts. I need more weights. Gotta get my guns back! I have granny arms. YUCK!

I am way behind and overwhelmed by Chalene's challenge. I avoid that which frustrates or overwhelms me I have come to realize. Mina got another new book yesterday (I think I collect them) Peter Walsh Clearing Mental Clutter To Become The Best You

Off into the day. April is A-Z blogging challenge and I am on P today and need to do my post.

Have a great day Earin, Dani (where are you), Becky (GREAT blog post yesterday did you all read it?), Kalyani (missing you again), Mina! Love you Dailip Sistas!

Sorry about the novella!

Hey girlies!

Just stopping by to confess my sins of the day. I promise I will write a longer update tomorrow since I will actually have time to sit down and write.

I was horrible today. I didn't eat well all day because I had a huge presentation and paper due for my research class. It was the last project of the semester and I was so nervous because the professor is really hard. I had a bigger breakfast then I intended then I had ramen noodle for lunch because honestly it was the quickest thing I could find to make. Then there is a girl who is transferring out of the program and today was her last day of class so she brought in chocolate chip cookies and a huge box of Fruit by the Foot. I ended up eating 2 rolls of Fruit by the Foot. I did resist the cookies. But after class I decided to get Checkers with my brother and I had a chicken sandwich, a small cheeseburger, and an apple pie. The worst thing is that I looked up the nutritional info afterwards and found out that the cheeseburger has trans fat in it. Double yuck! I know I can't undo what I did so tomorrow I will start brand new and I plan on going for a run first thing in the morning as well as doing CLX and going to the gym with a friend to walk on the treadmill.

Tomorrow is a new day!

Okay now that I am back on a real computer and have a little more time... here goes another novel I am sure.

Audrey- I am also doing the C25K program and have gotten "through" it once before. I started in June and ended in November I think- not quite nine weeks, but hey I tried lol. I did the program again hoping to work on speed this time and again am in week 9. It is TOUGH!! I am still unable to make it through 30 minutes without slowing down at all for water or just to catch my breath. Do you run on the treadmill or outside? I would always have to watch TV on the treadmill to get my brain elsewhere or I'd be so obsessed with the run interval that I couldn't do it. My trick now? I actually watch Jersey Shore on Netflix on my phone while I run my thirty minutes. It's trash and ridiculous, but boy does it make my time go by faster ha ha. Definitely celebrate every little accomplishment you have with the program!! Thanks for the encouragement- my goal is 3000 a week, but I won't hit it this week. Since it is Spring Break, my daughter is not at the sitter which means no gym time for me. I am doing CLX at home and hoping for some family babysitting, so I can at least go run, do the elliptical, or possibly another boot camp class. I have yet to try Cycle, but REALLY want to.

Mina- I actually decided to give up fries for lent, and boy is hard to resist when the bf has huge plate of them right in front of me. I am not very religious, but was raised Catholic. I think I did partially as a challenge to see if I could hold out that long without something that i LOVE and CRAVE. I downloaded Awesome Notes (the real version instead of just the Lite last night) and created my spring break to do list. My ADD butt will never remember everything I want to get done without a list. Any other apps I just absolutely have to download?

Kal- SNOW?!?!?!?! Mother Nature's calendar must be way off this year. That is crazy!! It is suppose to be 80s here this week and 90 I think tomorrow, so I am hoping to sit in the backyard with a book and catch some rays. Speaking of facebook-
www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=5294

here's my page. If you just go to view your profile, you can copy the link from the address bar. How is TurboFire??? I want that one, but not sure I can stick with it enough to be worth the money. I did end up going to Chincoteague on Friday evening. I picked up my brother (who's 16) from my mom's, then my daughter from her dad's, then hit the road. We luckily made it with ZERO traffic which was awesome. I did sign up for Chalene's program, but just didn't have time to actually do it this month with the CRAZINESS of school. I'll try again next month.

Alright, so daily update on life in the baby guns household lol. A quick summary of the drama at the beach house- two of my aunts bought a vacation house together in Chincoteague about 12 years ago (I think). We go every summer as a family- grandparents, aunts/uncles, cousins, and we all stay at the beach house or in a hotel that is walking distance from the house. Well apparently my one aunt thinks the other never does anything for the house. They want to sell it b/c they aren't getting along and the house is falling apart (in their words). They got into a screaming, cussing match Saturday evening as soon as my one aunt got there. I mean every other word was F*** with my 5 year old sitting right there!!!! Needless to say I was not happy. I took all the kids who were there at the time (5, 6, and 9 year old) outside in the windy, stormy (but not raining) weather just to get them away from the adults who were in each other's faces screaming like crazy people. It was BAD!! They semi worked things out, but were still snappy with each other the rest of the time I was there. I decided it wasn't worth the stress of staying. Plus there were 6 kids in the house all under the age of 10. My two cousins from NY are very spoiled and not the nicest kids, so it just was not worth it for my sweet girl to be around that either.

So after three days of not working out, I got up at 8 this morning and did Lean Circuit 2. OMG! I don't think the Lean month will ever get any easier... i know i just started but still. I felt nauseous the last ten minutes and thought I was going to have to stop. My plan is to still have my entire first Lean week done by Friday, so I don't mess up my schedule for finishing. Hopefully I am able to get to the gym at some point b/c just doing CLX isn't going to cut it. I had my daughter take my 60 days pictures this morning, and honestly I don't see a difference from 30 days to 60 days. Does anyone know how to post the two pictures side by side as one picture?? My daughter then made me take her pictures in the same poses... too funny! May have to be post those just for laughs :-) I have not lost a pound since starting CLX, but I think that's because my weight is low already. Since starting, I have lost 2 inches from my waist, 2 inches from my hips, 1/2 inch from adductor, 1 inch from chest (BOOHOO HOO), 1/2 inch from thighs. Guess that's good, but I am still hoping for a big change after this month.

Hope everyone had a great Monday. Sorry for the novel, but it's been awhile since I had time to sit down and respond to everyone.

Good Morning Dailip Sistas!

Audrey did you get your research proposal done?

Welcome back to the real world Earin - back to a drama less (not free) world with your sweetie and your workouts! You will rock that 3,000 burned this week. Can't wait to see your 60 day pictures.

Dani, how was your Monday?

Becky?

Mina, you are so rockin' a combination of so many plans.

Oh! Earin, you mentioned needing a to do list, Becky, Mina and I (Audrey you too?) are doing Chalene's 30 Day Organizing Program and I am going to sign up to do it again in May and probably June until it's ingrained in my brain housing group. Maybe you should look at it too. At the very least the app that she uses is Awesome Notes and you can use that for your amazing little iPhone! :)

Kalyani, how is P90X ad C25K and your new eating program working? What did your nutritionist advise for your food program?

OK ladies, I got up early because I am on day two of a migraine and am still not caught up (I figure you never really are) and need to gitty up! My sweetie is already out pounding the pavement in the dark and I am being a slug. In BLC 16 today is LCW or last chance workout before Wednesday weigh-in and I hope to get in 90 minutes at LEAST today. My weigh-in isn't going to be amazing so let me at least get in a great workout!

My car got towed so we'll see what's up with THAT drama.

Computer is fixed temporarily. I think my iMac is getting "full" and thus sluggish.

That's all here ladies. Have a rockin' Dailip Day!

Mina: Hey Cystah! Boooo for periods! That's right girl, you push it good! I think I need to start making a to-do list for myself because I tend to put things off and procrastinate until the last minute. With a to-do list, I can break things down and do a little each day until I complete the task.

Kal: Sorry to hear about all the "real" life things you had to come home to. At least you are refreshed and recharged and can take on all the challenges. More snow? Yuck!

Dani: Way to go on Week 4! I finished it today but I'm going to repeat the week because I'm still struggling through it and I don't feel like I'm strong enough yet to move on to the next week.

Earin: You were still technically on vacation today so don't beat yourself up about not getting your workout done. Like you said, just do it tomorrow and you'll be fine. I'm also having trouble reaching my 3000 calorie burn for the week but I'm starting CLX again tomorrow so hopefully that will help. I burned a little over 800 today just by running and going on the elliptical at the gym so with CLX I should be close. Sorry to hear about the family drama. Hope it was nothing serious!

Well I'm off to get the dishes done and then it's bedtime. Gotta be up early to finish my research proposal which is due tomorrow night. Nothing like working up until the last minute on a paper.

Night!

Well I am safe and sound back home. There was so much drama going on with the family in Chincoteague- I decided to cut my vacay a day short. I couldn't take it anymore. I'll explain more when I have more time. My plan was to come home and do CLX Lean Circuit 2. Of course my bf had other plans when I first got home which was take me and the kiddo to dinner for $5 burgers at Glory Days AND frozen yogurt at Sweet Frog. It was delicious and a nice date, but of course I couldn't do CLX at 8:00 after eating half a burger, potatoes, and frozen yogurt. I may double up my workouts tomorrow, so that I don't get behind a day. I am going to have my daughter take my 60 day pictures tomorrow before my workout(s). I will never get my 3000 calories this week the way I am going. For me to take 3 days off from working out is crazy, and I feel awful about it. I did take a walk with my little one this morning around Chincoteague Island, so I guess that counts as exercise. I hope to get a lot accomplished on my week off, but we will see how that goes.

Hi everyone!! Sorry I haven't written all weekend, we were pretty busy and I didn't get on the computer. I'm glad everyone is doing great! Today is a cloudy blah kinda day. I have so much stuff to do, but I just don't feel like doing it. But I will make out my To Do list and start whittling away at it. I'm have a garage sale in about 3 weeks so I need to sort/clean some stuff out and start pricing. So much work but worth it in the end : )

Audrey- I just started Week 4 yesterday. I've never made it this far either. 5 min is tough but it feels great when you are done : )

Earin- It's good you took your little vacay you deserved a break. Hope your having a great time.

Kal- I'm glad you had such a great time on your trip, but sorry you came home to so many problems : ( Hope everything is getting better.

Becky- Good luck on your interview : )

Time to go make my list and get things done (or at least started) I've been so munchie and tired today. I don't know why I'm always soooo tired. I went to the Dr last week for my checkup and I told her about it she did a bunch of blood tests and thank the lord everything came back normal. Guess I just need to start going to bed earlier. Hope everyone is having a great Mon : )

Hi Honeys I'm home! And guess what? It is no kidding freaking SNOWING at my casa in MI. 1-3" is what they are calling for. If you guys have my facebook page I posted a picture there. Crazy ridiculousness. Mina, I don't know what my facebook address is...hmmmm....do you have it?

Mina, I LOVE your video!!!! I want to see you doing Zumba! So how much are the new Zumba DVDs? I just got Turbofire on monthly payments so I'm grounded for now. Plus my car has to be towed today and that is gonna really ground me for awhile so now new toys. Nuttin. Nada.

Becky, I've got my fingers and toes crossed for the callback.

Audrey, sounds like you are doing GREAT on your C25K program - best ever! I am crying with and for you! Woot woot!

Earin, so you went to Chincoteague?

Mina, what 5 day are you thinking of doing?

You are so spot on with ALL your goals and programs and it IS all coming together for you. SO proud and happy for you.

Now to go and get caught up with my BLC program. I came home to the iMac crashed, car dead and lots of real life "stuff" so good I had my EPL USA retreat huh? I honestly didn't want to come home but here I am and now I need to bring it!

Love to all!

I'm a Period girl today. Bleah.
It's Push Circuit 1 though, so Imma gonna PUSH IT. PUSH IT REAL GOOD.

And I want to share that I totally kicked my to-do list's butt today!!!
It seems I've been struggling to keep up with work for months now. Like I'm perpetually working, and when I'm not working - I'm guilty about not working or I'm thinking about what I'm going to work on. And it's true what Chalene said in her videos, really keeping an eye on your to do list and being REALISTIC (I think this was the more important lesson for me) about what you CAN do in a day is crucial to getting organized. The whole THIS WEEK and SOMEDAY folder is awesome too, coz then it gives me some breathing room. And combing my work and personal tasks with push goals on one to-do list is so working.

I'm on a high. :) Hope you all are toooooo

Just wanted to stop in and see how everyone is. I am going crazy without working out, but I just can't make myself go out and run here. I am cutting my vacay a day short because I miss being home and my workouts. With six kids running around I'm not really able to do chaLEAN. The living room is small and the tv is probably nineteen inches. Will do lean circuit 2 as soon as I get home tomorrow evening. How's everyone's weekend? I'm so excited to have a week off without my crazy class. I can only hope things are better when i get back.

Just stopping by really quickly before I get ready for bed.

It's weekend class time for me and we ended up getting out of class around 4:30pm today. I am sooooo exhausted! I wasn't able to fall asleep last night until about 3:30am-4:00am. I'm thinking it might have had something to do with taking a fat burner although I took it around 1pm yesterday and then I worked out and I was active all day so I figured I'd burned off all the energy. I guess not! I am way too tired today to even contemplate doing a workout. I have been falling asleep since about 6pm but I'm keeping myself awake so I can go to bed around 11 and get a restful night of sleep. I will be going to the gym tomorrow night though since we are supposed to get out of class earlier.

Oh by the way, tomorrow I will be doing Week 4 Day 3 of C25K. This is the 3 and 5 minute intervals and also the week where I always quit because I can't make it through the 5 minute intervals. Yesterday I ran through all the intervals without stopping once! I was so proud of myself that I started to tear up but I stopped myself from crying because I didn't want people at the gym to stare at me and think I was weird. But it is such an accomplishment for me! I deserve to celebrate it! So I will!

Woo wee am I sore today! My buns are super sore not sure if it's just from boot camp or if it's from clx yesterday. My aunt, uncle, and cousins just got here from new York, so I'm using his iPad to post today. Today is my first rest day in probably a month. It's cold and rainy here, so I will not be running outside. I figure I deserve a rest day after all the working out I've done lately. I'd lost another inch from my waist and from my hips this month. In total I've lost six inches from my itty bitty self since starting chalean in February. I can't remember the rest of my measurements off hand just know I lost six total. Alright kiddos are trying to take their dads iPad so guess I'll check in more later.

Mina - I totally loved you video update! I too cannot wait to start our hybrid workouts. I have been slack on both my homework and my workouts a bit this week, but I am going to take care of all that now. I'm going to create today's todo list in just a minute and diligently plan my next week!

Just checking in really quickly from my iPhone. My posts will be much shorter using my phone. I am so sore from boot camp but still got up this morning and did forty minutes on the elliptical and started the lean circuit. Woo those workouts are no joke. Don't have time to read everyone's messages right now but definitely will tomorrow. I just got home from dinner and had to finish packing for my trip to Chincoteague. (Kal I decided to go after all) I am leaving tomorrow after working, stopping by Williamsburg, and driving the rest of the way. The plan is to stay until Tuesday which will give me five days back home to relax, clean, workout, and do lesson plans once I come back.

I woke up late today, so decided to go to the gym this afternoon. I did about 20 minutes on the elliptical and then I got brave and tried... drum roll please.... BOOT CAMP! Boy was it hard and such a good workout. I ended up scorching a total of 800 calories by the time my heart rate returned to normal. We were outside in the parking lot doing some CRAZY work outs; I'll explain more later. Alright that is all my beautiful Dailips- gotta spend time with the bf before I leave for five days. Will check in with everyone tomorrow. Glad to see Kalyani has returned :-)

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh So many DAILIPS in the house!

I wrote a long ass message yesterday and accidentally deleted it and since I was rushing I didn't have time to rewrite. Ugh. So frustrating. And I was REALLY funny in that one. Promise. Like FUHN-NY.

Anyhoo, it's a busy busy day today. Have rush this booklet for a client today and over the weekend - oh a freelancer's life, working weekends. But I least I get to work from home and can get workouts done in between. SNEAKY!

I have a multiple course lunch event today. GIVE ME STREGTH LORD! These ones are always tricky. I hope they serve everything shellfish, then I have an excuse to push plates alway (I'm deathly allergic).

Did Turbo Jam Cardio Party 1 for the first time in LONG time yesterday. Gashdarnit. That kicked my Zumba butt man. I'm training for the CLX/TurboFire hybrid challenge in May (which I'm doing with BECKY YO!) so I want to get in fit form.

I'll be FIVE WEEKS CHEAT FREE this weekend. So eggzited. And now that I'm 30lbs down, I greedy for MORE!!! I want to be like BABY GUNS EARIN who never misses a workout. Ha!

Ok ok gotta run. But I HEART YOU ALL!!! So happy to see a busy chat room!!

Talk sooooonnn.

Thank you for the support - on a positive note for the job fair the one district I had a pre-set interview with (and the one I most want to work for) was there and my interview with them was great! The sort of told me to expect a call for a second interview as soon as their budget is passed. I took it as a good sign.

Yesterday I logged in all my calories, drank all my water, and even went for a run. I'm currently doing the C25K program and I have never gotten passed the 4th week. I usually quit when I have to run two 3 minute intervals and then two 5 minute intervals because I can't get through it. Even though I hadn't ran in about 3 weeks (or done any kind of exercise at that) I was actually able to do the entire 3 minute intervals and 1 entire 5 min interval. The second 5 min interval was rough but I did about half of it before I had to walk for a bit and then I finished it off strong. Woohoo! No quitting this time around!

Earin: Sorry to hear that your class was crazy during your observation! Was it opposite day in your classroom? They have to act the complete opposite way than what they normally do? Hopefully the principal won't hold it against you and be understanding. It's important to take small getaways because they recharge your batteries and everyone needs a break every now and then so they don't get burned out. Go for it!

Becky: Sorry to hear about the job fair. How unprofessional!

Kalyani: Great job on the run! I'm still on Week 4 of the Couch to 5K plan. Hopefully I'll be able to run a 5K soon.

Kal: So glad to hear you are enjoying your vacation! We have been having great weather this week!

Well I'm off to do school work. Can't wait for this semester to be over already!

Earin kids today are out of control and parents expect schools to be disciplining and raising their kids and this is NOT your job. I've seen this sort of thing for years now in various school districts and ways so it's not just you. Do not take this personally although how can you not. Becky it's not too late to pick a new profession. Audrey you too. As my Gram would have said our world is going to he'll in hand basket.

Becky I am sorry about the job fair. Already unprofessionalism. OY! Yea you on your choices! Way to go!

Welcome home Dailip Sista Kalyani! Did your Naturopath tell you you were not eating enough for the level of activity aka Insanity? Good luck with the running and P90x, I have it. It is a very long workout and programs and I think I must have ADD because I lose interest. I wish I were a runner but I just can't get into that either. ENJOY!

Now we are only missing one little Chica. Off to the beach I go. Have a great day dear ones. Make it memorable!

Hello Ladies,

I do owe all of you an apology. I needed to take a break.. think over my strategy for weight loss and wanted to come back to my buddies...

Here I am all refreshed and rejuvenated and with a big plan. I sat with my naturopath to figure out my daily menu plan so I am eating right and getting enough for the workouts i am doing. I already started my practice for 10K . OMG my first run yesterday was 5K. It was so darn tough. I did not run for a long time now and I did not expect it to be 5K on the first day. On top it was all hilly area of calgary. But good that I have finished it. There was a run today but I could not go today. DH came late from work. Oh well, I will do it on my own tomorrow. I am also starting to do P90X (thinking if it should be tomorrow or Tuesday) I want to align it with running so it will be a perfect combo.

What else is going on in the group ladies..I am not going back and catching up but I would want to say hello to each and every one here..
KAL, MINA, EARIN, Audrey, Becky and Dani/.... Sorry if i have missed anyone...

Okay - somehow I got unsubscribed!

I have been busy with getting stuff ready for the job fair I went to today - I was really disappointed that a bunch of the districts that said they would be there weren't and almost all of the ones I was interested in filled their interview slots in the first 5 minutes!

I am going to just have to do a drive by right now and stop in tomorrow when I have more time. I am eating some yogurt and granola and going to bed!

On a happy note I did not let myself talk myself out of Fire 45 tonight... or even into HIIT 20. Did the full 45 minutes and burned 750 calories!

I agree WTF?!?!?!?! They really just didn't care at all that there was another adult in the room. I honestly don't even want to go to work tomorrow- it was THAT bad. I was almost in tears telling two other teachers at recess. I wish I could drive down to Sanibel- that'd be amazing!! Maybe Chincoteague would do me some good or just getting away in general. I feel horrible because almost all the girls in my class are so sweet, well-behaved, and loving. It is the boys typically, but today it was even some of the girls participating in all the outright disrespect.

OMG Earin excuse my USMC mouth but WTF....were they trying to get you in trouble? Have they no care or loyalty? I am so sorry sweetie. What did you say? You know why don't you drive down here to your Uncles? How long a drive? It would be so good for you. Or Chincoteague which is also cool. No excuse for your students behavior. NONE.
