Music! Last week, I was struggling, and told myself I'd get to the end of "this song." That song ended up being 5 minutes long... I've never run for that long before. Ever.

It felt good.

I do the same walk at a certain point and then run when I get to a certain area but I have noticed the joy I get in running past my planned stopping point.

I have been doing timed interval training to improve my endurance. On the weekend I wanted to listen to a new playlist (without time indicators) and decided to just do my usual route walking and then picking a point in the distance and running to it. I found that I was able to run past my picked destination and I ran faster.

What do you like? What method did you use to start running?
