I found that you really have to go week to week on the c25K program. If you run on Mon, Wed, and Fri, then do some cross training (weights, biking, swimming) on the Tus and Thurs. Make sure you take 2 xconsecutive days off each week so that your muscles can recover. This made all the difference for me and it helps bust through plateaus. I have recently discovered tabata training and I think it's terrific. I have not lost a tremendous amount of weight yet (probably just 12 lbs total) but i have lost 2-3 inches in each measurement area and gained muscle that I hope in the long run will keep me fit longer. My personal running goal is to do a 5K run (never attempted it before). Good luck to you.

Sometimes fatigue like that needs to be checked by a doctor. Last year I had fatigue so bad I couldn't sit up and found out I was dehydrated and my thyroid was low. Also make sure you are getting enough hydration all the time, not just when running, since as the temps climb it's easier to get dehydrated.

I have found that since the weather got hot here my endurance dwindled. I had gotten to week 9 and ran for 30 minutes straight but now can only do at the most 20 minutes before I have to break. SOme days not that much. Even when it's cooler, or I'm in the air conditioned gym my endurance is not as good as it was before hot weather. But heat has always had a negative effect on me to some degree. So I am just working with it and keep working at it.

(as in progress, not actually *moving* backwards LOL)

So I started about a month ago... with good progress. I was running 3 days and walking the other three. I was almost through the C25K first week... then I started to get really tired, in general. Just couldn't muster energy. So I figured I was over training and tried to kick it back. Well now even with days off completely (will add strength training soon). I'm eating around 1400 calories a day, drink and eat before my runs but I'm just not making progress! At least it feels that way. Today I could only make it through about 2 C25k intervals before I decided I would just do the rest of my two mile course at a hefty walking pace.

I'm baffled... I didn't get a ton of sleep over the weekend but this seems to be a progressive decline... anyway, I'm all eyes if anyone has any thoughts.
