For the week of 7/26 - 8/1, we want to challenge you to try meditation.
Sometimes we get so stressed or busy in our lives that we forget to take a few moments each day just to relax and breath. When that happens, we can end up short of breath, unable to concentrate, or even end up with lasting health issues (i.e., high cholesterol, high blood pressure).
Try looking up articles here at SparkPeople about meditation...there are some really good ones here, as well as at places like YogaJournal.com. You can also find some free meditation podcasts at places like iTunes.
Let us know how you do. Personally, it's always challenging for me to slow down and do this, which only means I need to do it more. Happy meditating, and happy running!
