Our anniversary was this past Sunday and we took a trip to the NC mountains. My family has a cabin up there so it was just us and the dog. I just wrote a blog about it if you want to check it out.
It was perfect! Relaxing, peaceful with just the right amount of activity and adventure. AND the dog had a blast. I had to coax Scruff out of bed this morning which DOES NOT happen, haha. Hope everyone has a great week and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to all of the upcoming June bugs!

We usually plan for a weekend getaway for each other. Last year we went to Nevada, and this year we are talking about maybe Colorado or a few different places. We are so busy that we really enjoy getting out of town together! Our second anniversary is coming in October, so we still have a few months to plan.
Congrats to the 2 of you with anniversaries coming up in May! Its amazing how fast the first year goes, huh??

Our first anniversary is in May as well. We are trying to be good and not spend a lot of money so we will probably just do a nice dinner out, wine, and just spend time with each other.
We are planning on following traditional gifts though. So this year is PAPER. I'm creating an Anniversary Album so each year, we can add a page of what has happened the past year, some of our favorite pictures, etc.

We have our first anniversary coming up in May. We are getting a room at the Ritz on Lake Occonee in Georgia for a weekend. By doing a 2 hr real estate tour, we'll get the room much cheaper, and it's a resort. We boat on that lake and have wanted to stay there, so this is a good opportunity. I am also planning (privately) to to wear my wedding night lingerie with my veil (suggested by a friend).
In the long run, we shape our lives and we shape ourselves. The process never ends until we die, and the choices we make are ultimately our responsibility.--Eleanor Roosevelt
