Hey 20 is not at all bad. I managed 22 days and I think I used the bad arm too much as an excuse not to excercise (my legs are ok, so I could have used them more). Today, I had one hour of soccer. The arm was ok except for one challenge where I clashed with one other player. The arm is still very sore, so it was not very comfortable, to say the least.

Well the month is coming to an end, and I have to say that I didn't do as good as I had hoped. emoticon
I did exercise both days this weekend so that left my totals at 20/11/31. Not great, but it did get me started and that means I did exercise 20 days this month! Not bad if you look at it that way.
Thanks Baddiz for starting this thread, and I hope to do better on the next one.

I used my bike to go to work this saturday morning. The way to work is more downhill than the way back home, so I will probably take the bus home. Still, I had 30 minutes rides (6.9 miles). The arm was ok except if I had to go over bumps and such.

Sorry guys - got a new TV on Friday which made me really lazy - especially with the bball tourney being on. Took friday and Saturday off.

I'm glad to see you here again phil. You know, this is all about getting back on the horse. One slip doesn't mean you're allowed to loose yourself completely, we're all in it for the long run. Ok, so here is my report for last two days: Yesterday, I didn't do anything I'm affraid. Today I did 40 minutes of bicycling, but in the end of my ride, I was crossed by a car and fell on my face. I have a bad scar on my left arm and my right arm feels strange. I am hoping I am only swollen but my wife thinks the arm is broken. Well, we'll know tomorrow, if I can't lift a glass it's broken, if I can, it's not!

Finally stopped raining here, got in 7 miles on my bike.

Tae Bo is great - Im sure you could get a DVD. I like Tae Bo II - Get Ripped Dvd, its older but I love the flow of it. 2 basic workouts to get you started then two grueling workouts for advanced. The guy running the show in the DVD is super motivational. I dont like exercise tapes, but Tae Bo is different - I credit that as being the one biggest factor in my 70lb loss to date.

Thanks Benehabeo. If I didn't have all these kids I would bike every day, but you have to play the cards you're dealt with. Today I went on a long walk on my lunchbreak, 50 minutes to be excact.

I have heard of this tae bo thing, but haven't ran into it in Iceland. Is it any good?

That's absolutely great work. I think I've never gone over 4000 in a given week. Today, diesel prises went to 8.2 dollars per gallon here in Iceland (gasoline is 7.7 dollars per gallon), so I went and bought myselft a bike today. I am not able to use it very often, but if I average one trip a week to work, the bike will pay of in only one year. Yesterday I spent two whole hours in cleaning the car after a trip to the mountains on saturday. Today I did 70 minutes of soccer.

I went back through my tracker and Ive only taken two days off in March (last Friday and Saturday)

So I wouldve been at 11/2/13 if I started with you all on the first. Is it cool that I keep going with that?

Back home from Scotland. I must be at least an inch shorter now than I was on Saturday. I did plenty of walking, and I only took note on the longer walks. On sunday I did one one hour walk on Sunday, one 40 mintutes and one 80 minutes walk on Monday and one hour walk today. So now is the 11th of March and the streak goes on... (did badly in the eating department, though)

I figured you had to be over that way! I wasn't sure exactly, so it is noce to know somebody in Iceland now.
I decided to switch things up a litlle today and I spent 1.5 hours working on my golf game, then a nice 30 minute walk.
Good luck on your business trip. that is always a challenge for me with the eating.

Iceland is five hours ahead of eastern standard time, so I usually finish my cardio ahead of you. Only 30 minutes of stationary bike today (10 miles), the kids have been sick and the youngest is a bit restless tonight. I will be going to Edinburgh, Scotland on a short work trip. I will go on Sunday and will be back to Iceland on Tuesday. I will do plenty of walking there, so maintaining the streak won't be a problem (I will try to steer clear of taxis and trains)

Great job Phil. I hear that the Elliptrical machine is a great cardio workout, I've never tried it myself. I did another 30 minutes (and another 10 miles) on my stationary bike today. So that makes two days in a row.

I am going to put up a challenge for the month of March. The challenge is to do some sort of cardio each and every day of March. The rules are simple, you have to do at least 20 minutes of cardio on a given day for it to count. There is no minimum on the intesity, you could have a 20 minutes walk in the park or two hours high- cardio workout on your treadmill. I was thinkinging we could mark our process like this:

Baddi: days success/ days fail / day of last registration.

So tomorrow, hopefully, my registration will look like this:
Baddi: 1 / 0 / 1

I hope I won't be alone on this!
