I may not get time to post progress daily, but I've accomplished all! Today: 9 glasses of water, 1300 some calories, yard work and strength training, ALWAYS track food and fitness.

This was fun! A day or two more, I guess. I will try to continue all... emoticon

For yesterday -

1 - Track nutrition - done
2 - Portion control - overdid it on peanut butter
3 - 1200-1400 calories - went over about 100 calories - gave in to a yen for peanut butter
4 - Limit sweets - NONE !
5 - Water - at least 12 cups
6 - 10" exercise - elliptical

Had a rough day yesterday, wasn't feeling well, so I just bummed most of the day and didn't do much exercise. Gave in to a mean craving for peanut butter, something I rarely eat. But I really enjoyed it so, no guilt. Now I'm moving on.

OK, I feel like I am pretty consistently on plan, but with the stress of the past several days, I am a bit of a loose cannon right now. We just had to cancel our weekend camping plans because between everyone's jobs and the funeral and our lack of vehicles, we couldn't work things out. I am bummed out. It will be up to me to turn this from lemons to lemon chiffon pie. emoticon I can do that too.

For yesterday...5/31/2011

1) Tracked all food eaten (Downloaded Food Tracker to Blackberry yesterday and love it!!)

2) Only ate measured or pre-portioned foods.

3) Ate 930 calories (1000-1200 limit), so OK with that!

4) I really need something sweet each day to keep me motivated and on track, so limit to
one 100 calorie treat.

5) 10 glasses of water!!

6) 15 minute walking dog in 100 degree heat index...whew!!!!!!

I'm sick this morning, still, so will be doing some kind of indoor exercise today.

Accomplished all of challenge steps today. emoticon
My exercise was following my 2 girls around 3 different nurseries looking for annuals and perennials. Then we went to Lowes, Home Depot and Walmart as well. I probably walked enough today for the whole week........but it only counts for today.

Forgot to add that my calories were 1018 today...guess I have to eat more tomorrow. Drats!!!!

My Mom was here for a visit the last couple of days and we had a cookout both days. I didn't count calories but did watch portions. Probably went over because of my Mom's delicious potato salad, but I paid close attention to portions both days. I did well both days considering I usually go overboard when she comes - she loves her sweets and I tend to join her when she snacks. We always go shopping when she comes and she buys all kinds of goodies (me too usually). But this time I didn't buy any !!! We hit the bakery, the cookie aisle in the grocery store, and I looked and wasn't interested !! The only sweets I had was one piece of cake each day. That's great for me.

1 - Track nutrition - done - recorded what I ate in my food journal but not calories today, will record calories starting tomorrow
2 - Portion control - done !
3 - 1200-1400 calories - probably went over
4 - Limit sweets - one piece of cake at cookout
5 - Water - I drink at least 12 8 ounce glasses daily - done
6 - 10" exercise - done - walking (30") and wii (30") - tennis, swordplay, boxing

I put a copy in my food journal and have it in on a sticky note on my computer.

Printed.....and posting on the fridge also. LouLouBelle and Felina, this challenge looks like fun!! I met my nutrition goals over the holiday weekend, but only because I'm sick and didn't go to the cookout I'd planned on going to. Exercise was where I fell behind. I never do a lot, but I try to walk 10 minutes each day (bad about keeping track). Now the weather is unbearably hot and I DO NOT do hot, so need to find an exercise to do inside the house! I will do my best to keep up with this challenge!!

Did you fall off track in meeting your Sparks goals this past Holiday Weekend? I did!!!!!!
Are you ready to get back on track? I sure am!!!!!
If so, join with me and FELINA to get that Spark back in our “7 day challenge”. According to the experts if you do something for 7 days you'll start to form a habit…..So lets get in the habit of “Staying On Track”.

To complete the challenge you must try to the following EACH day AND report your progress on this thread daily. That way we support each other. Above all don't feel guilty if you fall short of your expectations, just start again. 1 day at a time.

1. Track your Nutrition daily
2. Watch your portion control.
(Try measuring your foods if you’ve never done that).
3. Stay within your calorie limitations.
(Mine is between 1200 & 1400 calories per day. Post yours if you'd like.)
4. Limit your sweets as much as possible.
(Actually try to avoid them all together).
5. Drink as much water as you can.
(8 glasses, if possible).
6. Strive for at least 10 minutes of exercise per day.
(Cardio, Strength, Walking, Swimming or what ever you can do as long
as you’re moving).
7. Report your DAILY progress on the challenge thread……….
(Even if you slip up, don’t feel guilty about it, just start again).

CHALLENGE TIP: Copy these rules down and post them where you can see and be reminded of them. I’m putting them on my refrigerator door, where will you post yours?

Challenge yourself just for 7 Days emoticon ………..So can I.

By putting God first in our life, we can all achieve great things.
