I did 10" of low impact aerobics with some guy in Hawaii on TV this morning.
Real progress.
I had to modify some of it. They had jumping jacks. I don't jump.

I made it to the pool this morning then walked the mall this afternoon and shopped. My legs and feet are hurting but it was good for my heart. emoticon

I took a dorm sized refrigerator to work with me some 10 years ago or more. These days, I keep it stocked with veggies for salads, fruit and bottles of water. Basically the only choices I have for lunch are healthy and good for my heart. (And if I am not in the mood for what I have, well nothing is my only other choice unless the teacher's room is filled with junk. I am so glad that that has finally let up!)

Wednesday, I had a big fresh salad for lunch plus some soybutter on whole wheat.
It is debatable how heart healthy that soybutter is. some doctor's swear by it.

My life is a lot about caring for my heart (and body and mind and spirit.)
I am using Weight watchers new points plus to help me with eating--lots of fresh, unprocessed foods on this plan.
I exercise in one way or another--usually the pool with lots of walking--EVERY day for that cardio.
I am having my stress test on Tuesday of next week.

I think my heart is getting treated well and monitored closely. My blood pressure is totally in the right place without any meds any more. That is due to my weight loss and everything else.

I finally embraced my doc's desire for me to be on a "strict and controlled diet program" ... he explained that until I get my weight near goal (some 50-70 pounds down) my blood pressure (heart health) will not lower. I now take 9 Rx pills daily to control my blood pressure and had a mild heart attack 5 years ago.

...and so, I began the Ideal Protein program yesterday. I am so happy and excited that Spark People has an Ideal Protein SparkTeam! YEAH! There are many selections already set up in the "Add Food" selection on the Nutrition Tracker. I love Spark People! What a huge help and encouragement to have teams like this one to explore, share, whine and question. Smile. Kathy

I am not sure if cream of wheat has the same good effects as oatmeal, but I had cream of wheat for breakfast.
I am planning to do my exercises here at home. Don't see any point in trying to leave the house until the weather gets this storm out of it's system.
