I went to the web site and registered but everytime I try to submit it tells me error. I have tried several times but can't get it to submit. Do you think they have cut it off?

What a wonderful idea. Plenty of time to train for it on top of that!!

I'm unable to do this event because I work on Saturdays, but I think this is an awesome way to pull the team together!!

Start off with a walking group, build up your mileage, add in a walk/jog....it works.

If you all are interested, I could put together a game plan for you. Please post if you are interested!!

I'm walk/jogging with my Big Changes group for the Groundhog race in January in the caves. Most of these folks are considered obese and some are morbidly obese. Just giving you a little motivation...

The Second Annual Independence Park Trot 5K Run/Walk is slated for 8am Saturday, May 4th 2013 Waterfall Park (South of Bass Pro).

Beginning Tuesday, January 1st, 2013, interested residents may register online at WWW.IndependenceParkTrot.com for this free event. A parent or legal guardian must sign a waiver for anyone under age 18 participating in the race. Packet Pickup will be the afternoo of Friday, May 3rd.

The Independence Health deparment has teamed up with KC Running Company to hold the certified 5K event as part of the 'Building a Healthier Independence' (BHI) initiative.
