Even tho' we didn't win the Amazon cert, we're all winners just for keeping on!
It basically said that you did not need to follow it to a T, so following the basic guidelines and getting the exercise time in was following the program.
Congrats to all of us that stuck with it and WON in our own improved health way!

I did 2 videos yesterday and 1 of them, I did twice. Then I ran a total of 76 minutes (with a 15 minute cooling off break in the middle). I checked off my week 4 as done! I know I didn't do it exactly how the challenge reads but I did do all the videos each week and got over 200 minutes of exercise each week! That's enough to be put into the drawing for the Amazon.com gift certificate.

Last day of this challenge, for me. Time to do 2 videos and then a long run! I'll check back in after I'm done to report...

LoL Really... must be company...
Well, power was out again last night, so couldn't really do too much. We took a nap. Of course, for me nap meant several hours beyond when the power returned. Woke at 1:30am, and did my 2 vids finally (Thurs & Fri)... but by 4:30am was too weak/tired/hungry??? to do any cardio. So I guess Thursday counts as my rest day this week (would be nice to have a voluntary one just once!). I'm up now, and trying to move myself over to the Wii, and get 'er done before work... Will not have time this evening!

I managed to get my workouts in yesterday and today. If I do them right awy in the morining, it perks me up for the day. So, I think I'll do one first thing tomorrow. It's only 10 minutes. That and a cup of coffee should get those eyes wide open.
When the social stuff crowds in, there's not much we can do, but plan ways to work around it.
I've been feeling mistreated over all of the work I'm having to do, cleaning and downsizing prep, but I DO love how my shampooed carpet looks. The family is starting to ask, "Who's coming over?"

Wow... so in the next week I'm gonna lose it all and have my swimsuit body? heheh Don't guess they meant someone with more than 5 pounds to lose... LoL
That's right tho', just keep plugging along the best you can! My delusions of grandeur about doing both vids hasn't exactly happened, but I did at least keep up so far! Might need to sneak in Friday's tomorrow, in case something comes up - still gotta squeeze some cardio in on Friday and we may be gettin' the Crazy Crew back together (have missed several weeks due to scheduling issues) which means going out to dinner with friends! By the time we get home, its usually way too late to be doing any exercises!

That's great, SUSAN. Those short videos are terrific, which makes it easier to fit them in on a busy day, like your work days. I need to make them part of my routine. I've been such a screw-off lately. Today was a good one, but I'm still way behind on the challenge.
I had to laugh when I got this week's email that said I'm a week away from my swimsuit body. Whoopsies! Wish I'd stayed on track. Oh, well, no time like the present to put it on my to-do list for tomorrow and the rest of the week.

I came home last night and did yesterday's video, I woke up in time to day to do today's video, twice! Tomorrow's my day off, so I should be able to do a lot, I'd better get ahead because I promise that I won't be exercising on at least 2 more days of the week... But... it's a big accomplishment for me to have done exercises on 2 work days in a row!

After "getting ahead" on Friday, I went home last night and did 2 of coach nicole's 10 minute videos. They were a little more intense than I should have done... that was great and really helped my deficit since I ate too much but then I had trouble sleeping last night. Oh well, as long as I can sleep tonight I'll be ok... My eating seems to be under control today... I'm going to try to do a milder video tonight. I think the Day 1 video in the challenge is just the ticket...

Definitely on "writing down" intentions!
I'm finally caught up, and y'no... I'm half tempted to continue to do both videos both days each week (Core*2 Mon & Thu, Lower*2 Tue & Fri and Arms*2 Wed & Sat)... after doing them both for the 2nd half of this week, it is definitely do-able... and since I was ABLE, its probably a sign that I should...
Then again, it may eat more into the time available for cardio... we'll see how things go!
Keep on going! About to start my cardio now, after finishing both upper body vids!

I got caught up yesterday, even did today's video. Decided not to go ahead and do Sunday's exercise also since I won't be able to do it on time since it's a different week. I'll just have to get caught up again on Tuesday, my next day off...
Now that I think of it, I might be able to get some exercise in tomorrow night, I don't have to get up until later on Monday.. As long as it's not too vigorous, otherwise I won't be able to sleep... I like writing down my intentions, brings ideas to mind.
Cheers!

Well, got one of the two lower body (had them in the wrong order, didn't I...) done today before work... hopefully I can squeeze in the other 6:30 and then at LEAST 45 mins of Zumba before dinner plans jump all over us!
Have a great weekend!

I missed 3 days... so it's kinda perfect to double up and did both core tonight, followed by 105 mins of cardio... that's 3 nights worth of cardio ;) (well, by their low 30 mins standards LoL)
Tomorrow I get to do dual upper body, and Saturday I'll do dual lower body! So, I'll be guilt-free and the net results for the week will still be a good deficit! (I did reduce intake the days that I did not get the cardio in, so I figure it's all "good")

Sorry you were under the weather, Prin... you're right, you've gotta take care of yourself or you really will get behind!
I'm behind again, but only by a day this time... tomorrow I will get caught up and then move into next weeks videos early. Next week my work schedule is horrible, 6 twelve hour shifts. I don't know how I'm going to do it. I know it's not the purpose of the challenge but I do what I can!

I'm behind, too, PRIN, and I wasn't even sick.
I'm just picking up where I left off, when I miss days. I'll get there. I may be summering into shape.

Well, been under the weather a bit too many days that I guess I'm going to double up on the rest of the weeks' vids as the week finishes off... Oh well! Woulda ended up "down" even longer if I didn't take care of healing & tried to push it, right? I mean, what's 20mins instead of 10? LoL
Here's hoping everyone else is still going strong this week!

I did get caught up yesterday. Today, I'm going to try to do 2 videos since I have to work my 12 hour shift and I usually can't do any exercise when that happens... I'm sore again today from yesterdays insane workouts and I know it will feel worse tomorrow, but probably close to normal by Tuesday...

I am in it also it has been great. I can not always do the videos either now that I do them when my work schedule allows it is an added feature to my weight loss. Everybody keep up the great work.
Went to a gym nearby and because of my age my weight goal has changed. What a wonderful thing to have you fat percentage measured. Scary but wonderful I am trying to think out of the box more.

Yup, the change-up is definitely a good thing ;)
Again, last night/this morning, I feel my abs (did that one Thurs night... LoL)... Ooh... today will be upper body, but I think this one wasn't on the knees like the other one has you for a few.
Here's hoping finding something to eat can get rid of this headache for me, so I can get moving today!

I'm slightly off track but I hope to catch up tomorrow! I can't seem to do the videos every day and I'm still trying to get cardio in 5 days a week. Next week is a new week! I love all the videos, and was surprised at how well they worked. I consider myself a strength training veteran but I guess changing things up is always going to be felt...

So, are we all still on track??!!??
I am... and I really hate day 6's down on the knees... still... 2nd time and it still hurts like ... gah! I need to get one of those thicker mats... tripled up yoga mat is not enough cushion between my knees and a hardwood floor ;) That floor, however, is great for cardio when wearing shoes! Just wish it wouldn't creak so much, as if it is complaining about the beating it's taking...

I didn't start until today... I did 2 of the videos today: the crunchless ab workout and the lower body squat/lunge/stretch videos, and loved them both! I thought that since I'm such an avid exerciser that I'd find them easy but I didn't. The 30 minutes a day of cardio, 5 days a week, will be a challenge for me due to my work schedule. I'm really going to try to get up early this month and get it done...
Here's the funny thing, I'm not feeling well today and I called in sick. Even tho I'm not well enough to work (comfortably), I still can do a few things to get my exercise done. The key is take rest breaks, then exercise a little. This evening I'm going to do a run/walk, 30 minutes should be do-able... Going to bed early will have to be a priority or else I really won't be able to to do it. I'm such a wimp when I haven't gotten my sleep.
Tomorrow is my day off and I don't have any major plans, so suddenly I'm getting a good start on this challenge!

My partner and I will be joining in on this starting today. I'm a little leary of the kickboxing video. I've watched it, but I'm not particularly coordinated anymore, so it might be a bit of a challenge.
We were going to start yesterday, but an emergency vet visit and my catching a cold make us think that allowing one day before starting was the better idea. Just one, though - we'll be starting today.
First saw that as inmates, instead of intimates ;)
I did finally find it yesterday (the hard way) and get joined up. I only did the 10 min kickboxing, however... didn't do my regular other stuffs I normally coulda/shoulda/woulda done, but hopefully will be feeling better tonight and able to do it all and then some!
Let's rock this one!

I signed up because I really need the strength training. I am already doing 30 min of exercise a day as a personal challenge, so need to do a bit more to kickstart my program. Thanks, Barbara, for the push to check out the challenge!

I've been to the site and read a lot of posts and I think it looks good. I'm going to officially join it tomorrow. I know I will find it difficult to do something every day even though it's only 10 minutes because of my insomnia issues but I believe I'll be able to make up workouts on days off...I'm really pushing to lose the last few pounds before June 6th when I'm off to the beach!

Have you seen Spark People's Official "Spring Into Shape" Bootcamp Workout Challenge? It's a 4-week challenge that starts May 1st, or whenever we are able to join it.
It includes 10-minute videos and ideas for 10-minute exercises to add to our day. It tracks our progress, via our fitness tracker. Great possibilities, especially if you've hit plateaus or rough motivational patches.
Those who do 500 minutes of fitness in May, as part of the challenge, will be included in a drawing for a $300.00 Amazon.com gift certificate.
This thread is for those of us on the Separation of Church and Weight Team, who have joined the challenge and would like a more intimate setting to discuss how we are doing with it. The membership of the "Spring Into Shape Bootcamp Challenge" is huge, over 19,000 Sparkies, so far.
Who on our team has decided to give it a try?
I am going to give it a shot myself, since the 10-minute chunks appeal to me, and I need to keep myself motivated. It's been difficult for me lately. I am STARTING TOMORROW, MAY 1ST.
