I havent been walking outside my neighborhood lately. I finally got a job (after looking for 1.5 years). Im still trying to find a balance with it since it is a work at home position. Trying to make up for lost time, Ive been taking additional assignments during the evenings and weekends. In theory Id like to get back into hiking with the pups, but I dont see it happening until after Christmas and by then the weather will probably be too cold for the pups and me.

Yeah, I've asked "Santa" for an MP3 player this year...The sound of my feet hitting pavement is incredibly boring. I'm hoping he comes through and that will help too.

RAINESSA, are you interested in hiking on the weekends? I know you're too far for daily walks, but I usually drive all the way out to Brushy Lake to hike. Not sure if you'd have the time or be interested in something like that.

I live too far to walk with you. I like to walk with the dog and listen to an audio book on my MP3 player. It doesn't make me more accountable, but I do look forward to walking so I can "read" the next part of my book.

Its a nice idea, walking is always nicer with someone to talk to and to help hold you accountable. Too bad, while I am close, Im too far away in Huntsville.

I don't have a walking partner either. It gets lonley walking alone. I wish you luck in finding a partner I know it makes walking more enjoyable.

I知 looking for a walking partner to make me more accountable and make the walks more enjoyable. I walk every night after work except Tuesday (I get to the track between 5:30 and 6:00). I walk with two large dogs who just love it. I try to do between 3 and 5 miles within an hour. If you池e in the Hartselle, AL area and would like to walk with me, please let me know.

I知 also looking for a hiking partner. I try to hike every weekend as long as the weather is favorable, but DH works every other weekend and often can稚 join me. The dogs are even better with hiking than they are with walking, and we have another two fosters on weekends who could join us if I had help.
