I would love to be able to fill in the fruit/veggie serving count in the app like I can with water.
Also, would love to be able to spin the wheel from here too. I went camping a few months back without wireless. Logged my food using the offline feature of the iPhone app, but wasn't able to log in. This has happened a few times to me while traveling. My log in streak, a big motivator for me, should be so much higher than it reflects.

I agree with the user a few comments below me that I'd like to be able to spin the wheel when I open up the app to track food or fitness.
However, usually when I want to track food or fitness I use my computer. Just easier for me. The main reason I use the app is to track my water. As I'm walking around the house drinking bucketfuls of water, I like that I can pull my phone out of my pocket and track it, since I know I'll forget before I get to my computer. Is there a way I could get to the water app faster instead of going to "more" and then "water." It's a little cumbersome. I'd prefer a way to choose to place water on the dock instead of the other options. For instance, I have never used weight and I doubt I ever will, so I wouldn't mind it being a little cumbersome to get to that one.
Thanks!

I also have a MyFitnessPal account but it seemed to duplicate a lot of what I do on Spark People so I have now switched to Endomondo as it logs my walks. Just set it going, put phone in pocket and walk then stop it when you get home and read off miles, minutes and more.
A link with Endomondo would be great too then we wouldn't have to log the miles/minutes as it would happen automatically :)

Would it be possible to spin the spark wheel from within the app?
Sometimes when away from home/office I log in just from phone and this way I could register login points and update my status feed while away. What do others think about this?

I would like to be able to add in calorie info directly. I have a Garmin and it gives more accurate estimations of runs & rides than the estimated values in the app. I'd like to bypass the app's calculations & add in calories directly without changing the time parameter.

Mimi-B, I am new to the iTouch/iPhone version of tracking, but in the 2.6.2 version, I can not enter decimals. There is a "Wheel" I spin to capture portion sizes, and for partial portions, I can only select provided fractions. Is there a setting I am missing that would allow me to "Enter" the amount I ate?

I love this app and use it daily, but would also like: 1) the abiility to post on or at least read the spark teams I subscribe to 2) Update my status 3) Have the ability to read emails sent to my spark account 4) Change dates for reading information on graphs, such as weight - I have changed my goals, but don't want to wipe out my history in order to see a graph 5) Update other goals
Thanks!

I've noticed a lot of folks saying they want to be able to enter using decimals... You can do this. There is a bit of a "trick" to it. You can't just enter .5 or .75. You must put in the zero first... So you have to enter it as 0.5 or 0.75. Try it... It works! I enter decimals all the time with my iPhone and iPad SP apps. :-)

me too! Now I still have to add it on my computer, where there is an option to add 1 whole workout in one click. And in the app, there's not all the exercises, only the core exercises....
I would also like a name for a cardio workout plan, so I don't have to add all my favorites by hand.

I think the only way to view your prescheduled weight workouts right now by going through Safari. It would be great if we could view them in the app. That way I could carry my iPhone instead of a bulky clipboard with me to know what the next weight exercise should be and how much weight I've been using.

I would love to see adding the weight workouts to the app, it would be so much easier, if I could just get my scheduled weight routines on my iPhone, just so that I know what to do without having input them all in manually myself.
if there is a way to do it, then please let me know.
Thanks

I see that this is an ols comment, but I agree! The occasion occurred today when I wanted to see what I had eaten on a particular day to show up on my Over Time Graph/report. I wanted to see what made me actually meet my folate goal! It took about 15back clicks to get to the date I wanted

I'm going to second (and third, and fourth, and fifth....) that I would LOVE a mileage tracker. A cute graphic like the one that lists your weight loss that so many of you have at the bottom of your posts. I think it would motivate me. I also need a "How To" on making your Spark Page and profile. I want my posts to look cute too!

I have a friend who is unable to log in to the SP app because she has an "underscore" in her SparkName. And she doesn't want to change her name. Is there a work-around so that she can keep her name and still be able to log in?
I had the same problem. My name was Barbara_Boo and there was no "_" on the keyboard when I tried to log in. So, I changed my name and dropped the "underscore".
I love the app. I use it on my iPod Touch and it works great.
NEVERMIND! A friend posted the following info on my page, and it works. I may add my "underscore" back into my name, now that I know this:
__________
"_" on iPod: go to the numeric section, then press the same button you originally pressed to switch from alphabets "_" on iPod: go to the numeric section, then press the same button you originally pressed to switch from alphabets to numbers - voila, you get the *extended* characters, like the % sign and the * and the _
Whoops, sorry - not the same button. Press the key that says "#+=" (just above the one that says "ABC". :) __________
Aren't SparkFriends great?

COURTMOM07 already said this below and I am sure there are others but I will add my vote:
please add a mileage tracker to the app!
I LOVE being able to track my food and fitness, but have to enter running miles on the website directly so that I can keep track of them. Even if I say "30 minutes at a 10 minute mile" and it converting that to 3 miles for my mileage tracker would be great.
I absolutely love this app and would love it even more if I could track mileage!

Just finished walk and thought I'd look at the area where it shows strength exercises, and some, like modified planks, suggest a goal of 3 minutes, working up to it in 30 second intervals - would be so cool to have access to the iPhone stopwatch feature right inside the strength exercise without having to back out of SP app, go to clock app, do the exercise, and go back to SP to report how long I did that exercise.
Secondly, I am noticing a lot of requests for food/recipe - not sure if people want recipes inside the main app? But maybe some might not be aware that SP has TWO iPhone apps - the second is all about meal plans, recipes etc. The only thing I haven't liked (maybe not figured out how to do?) is accessing on the app a recipe I had saved on the main SP website on my PC (especially the "recipes I want to try" cookbook...)... As I try to use those recipes at the grocery store -- which brings up a third (3rd) idea and that is ability to create grocery list of ingredients of recipes I have selected on PC but able to see list on my SP meals/recipes tracker while on iPhone at the store!!

I'm so grateful for the app, it really helps keep me on track and I can make good choices about what to eat when I am on the go.
I'd really like to see points though, points have always kept me motivated and I feel like I am really missing out when I don't get to the regular site.
The other thing that has been a real problem for me is that when I am entering a new food the app does not allow me to enter a decimal point. Many times I need to put a value such as 1.3 and the app does not seem to allow this. I'm so frustrated by that.
Thanks for listening :)

#2 you can use decimal if you put a 0 first. Ex. 0.5
I would like to be able to enter notes in on the app. If I eat out and do not know the nutrition then u can make a note and come back to it later when I review my reports weekly. The website seems to have many more options. Would be nice for an update on the iPhone and especially the iPad.

2 major things:
1. I would love if I could track my measurements (arm, hips, etc.)
2. I would love if when entering new food information, if a decimal point was available. It stinks when I try to enter a new food and when it has .5 of a gram of fat, I can only put 0 or 1. This is only for new food entering.
Oh, and I would love to be able to read articles, too. And being able to post on message boards would be cool, too, but I'll just take the first 2 changes!

This is kind of a two-parter.
I would LOVE to have strength training exercises on the app. I mean, if I have sparkpeople create my work out, I have to print it, take it the the gym, record as I go (weight, reps, etc), then come home, add it to sparkpeople - all of which could have been done on my phone.
Also, and this one is for both the site AND the app - but can we make strength training searchable by maybe MORE than upper, core, and lower body. How about something more like a checklist - I used a machine, it worked my calves - then spit out a list of the gym equipment I could have used. It takes me FOREVER to find what I did at the gym on a machine - much less if I did it with free weights! HOLY COW!
Spinning the wheel would be nice to do on my phone also - or read maybe my friends blog posts with the ability to comment. Just some thoughts

I would really like to be able to log mileage from the app. It's not an option on the mobile site either.
If that's not possible, a link that takes you to mileage would be helpful. It's a long process to get from logging exercice in the app. to getting to Sparkpeople in the web browser and then getting to the right page.
Otherwise, I love it!

After using the app for one day, I would like to see extra meals and food groupings. Even if it was only the ability to select these items from the mobile device once they get created on the desktop. Currently, if you add food items to and existing extra meal on the desktop, they do not appear on the mobile device, resulting in inaccurate totals.
