Once in a while. We both work FT, my husband is going to school and we have 2 kids ages 2 years and 3 months. Life is hectic. Every once in a great while, my husband will be at work and both kids will be sleeping at the same time. It's just luck when it happens. :) It's worth it though! I know I'll eventually have more "me time" than I'd like. :)
I feel incredibly fortunate to have an hour on each of Monday and Wednesday when i have child care but don't have to work. I've been really focusing on my workouts during these times, and feeling like a real person again!
"The foolish man seeks happiness in the distance; the wise grows it under his feet."
Very seldom. A couple times a week when my husband is working in town, I try to take a bath. I seldom get more than 15 or 20 min before either the baby is crying or my preschooler wants to come join me. Once or twice a week my parents come over and entertain the preschooler for a couple hours. I occasionally leave the baby with them for 30 min or so to do some grocery shopping or have a shower, but she doesn't take a bottle so time is limited. I figure this stage when they are so, so dependent goes pretty fast so I don't mind too much most days.

At my out of home job :) haha, it's funny but thats the most 'me' time I get on a regular basis. As for recreational 'me' time...I try once a month or so, and thats usually an evening where a friend comes over and we have some wine and watch movies, chat, etc...DH works all three shifts, they change about once a week, so it's hard for me to get out when my other mommy friends are also available (most of my friends are police officer wives too).

Well when babes are really little (under 1 y/o) I personally find it impossible. To be completely alone-with out babe.
After about the 18 month mark, I've found a little time. I have only did it one time! But, I went out thrifting with a girlfriend on a Saturday. I plan on taking some sewing lessons and such too sometime in the future. Although for now I bring the kids with me to the sewing lessons! lol
My husband is a substitute teacher so there are days he doesn't get a job and stays home. While I get super excited to have him home I find myself sleeping in to cuddle my two boys, hubby and baby. I don't get any alone time because I am taking care of the baby and husband all day. I have fun doing it so it isn't until later in the day that I start to get grouchy from having no quiet time.
On days my husband works I take nap #1 of my baby to relax and process life, journal, read my Bible, catch up on emails, and ultimately just be alone and quiet. This is usually around 10 or 11 am.
I plan on taking some quiet time when my husband stays home, too. I just haven't figured out when to do that.
