So decided a week ago that I would start my "Get Fit Post Baby" on Monday (tomorrow). Then I stumbled on to this website. I guess it was meant to be. I was aiming for 6 workouts a week and I am so excited to jump in here - even if it is in the middle.

OK, I'll admit it, I didn't do that great this first week. I only got 4 days of exercise in emoticon I only have my own lazy butt to blame!

But I tried on a swimsuit yesterday and there's nothing like that experience to get you motivated! LOL emoticon

So I feel much better about going into week 2 of this challenge! I even did an extra 10 min on the elliptical today as penance.

As far as what I do at home:
elliptical
free videos here on SP with Coach Nicole
other workout DVDs (I have a huge collection!)
jump rope (try it for 5 min-it will kick your butt!)
free weights
yoga
walk outside/bike when it's nice weather

Earlier this week I did 2 days of walking with the baby in a bjorn... it was so nice outside! Then yesterday I did the Power90 sculpt workout, and Hip Hop Abs Cardio workout. Planning on doing a zumba class at 1pm with my sister today, and a zumba dvd with my mom at 6pm tonight. :)

Ready to loose the baby weight!

I only got 6 hours of sleep last night and man, my get up and go has gotten up and LEFT.
I managed to grit my teeth through 30 minutes with coach nicole but BARELY made it.
Really, really need to hit the hay early tonight.

I think the exhaustion of taking care of sick kids alternating over the past month, and the sleep deprivation that comes with it, has finally hit me. I am pooped. I did manage to do one of the 10 minute Bootcamp Cardio workouts today. On to bigger and better things tomorrow. Tonight, I need sleep.

7 out of the last 8 days I got in 60 minutes or more on my Wii. I took a sick day on Tuesday, but I think part of why I felt so bad is because I didn't get up and climb on like I have been doing... I took hubby to work & piddled around & dropped the jeep off at the shop & came home & took a nap. Blah. Feeling like a 10 today though!

I said I liked a challenge but I think I changed my mind. My muscles are KILLING me today!

I like the idea of a weekly thread.

No exercise for me yet today. Been at the ER with my daughter (dehydration due to the stomach bug that's going around). But, we're home and my kids are napping, so I think I'll dance a bit notw.

I like the idea of a weekly thread. I'd prefer to check in daily, it keeps my motivation high.

I did Coach Nicole's 28 Day Bootcamp Total Body workout for 30 minutes today. WOW is that ever a challenge!

I do love a challenge though!

I have a question for all participating....
Should we do a different thread for each week so people can report daily if they want without the thread getting super long?
I can link to the new thread each week to it's easy to get to.

Or we can just keep the one thread and report on it for the 6 weeks.

What is your preference?

Yay! The challenges really help me stay on track. Count me in!

New mother of a beautiful son as of 9/12/11 and ready to lose the baby weight plus some!

Goal 1 - 170 lbs
Goal 2 - 165 lbs - haircut
Goal 3 - 155 lbs - new clothes
Goal 4 - 145 lbs - more new clothes!
Goal 5 - 135 lbs - new clothes, haircut, and pedicure
Goal 6? - 130 lbs - will have to think of a good reward

I thought today was a good day to announce this challenge emoticon

Sexy in 6 will be our new challenge! emoticon

This challenge will encourage you to exercise 6 times a week for 6 weeks.

This does NOT have to be a sweat fest each day! emoticon Just getting a 30 min cardio session in 3-4x a week and doing a daily Coach Nicole workout from this site would be great! That's my plan.

If anyone wants to add losing 6 lbs in the 6 weeks for your own personal challenge, that would be great. But it's not all about losing the weight, it's about getting in shape and feeling good about yourself and that can't always be translated to pounds lost. I know of many moms that haven't lost a lot of weight after working out regularly but lost many inches-whatever works for you!

We will start the challenge on Monday, Feb. 20 and end on March 31. I feel the short term challenges are more successful but that doesn't mean we won't follow up with another challenge to keep us on track for spring shorts weather!

You can check in each day with your progress or at the end of each week, it's up to you!
